Even Champions Have to Follow Rules

1. This is a closed set-up. You may role claim, lie, fabricate your role, ability, win condition, etc., info dump, etc. You can legally do all of those things. Just because it's legal does not mean it is in your best interest.

2. No editing or deleting of posts.
3. No BTSC (Behind the Scenes Contact/Conversation) with anyone other than your specified BTSC partners and in the specified BTSC location.
4. No double-targeting (targeting the same individual with a power twice in a row) or self-targeting unless otherwise given permission.
5. Be respectful and remember that this is a game (albeit of champions).
6. Dead players should not post on-topic and should post in dead red. There is a "dead" button when posting for this function.
7. Off-topic posts should be in off-topic green. There is an "OT" button when posting for this function.
8. Posts from non-players should be in non-player blue. There is a "np" button when posting for this function.
9. Games of Champions are funny things, because we never seem to have a mod on duty.

If there is an issue, any issue at all, PM me, and let us work through it.
10. Votes are changeable (except during Day 0).
11. Day periods last 48 hours. Night periods last 23 hours.
12. All questions for the Host should be directed to me privately. If I feel a public answer is warranted, I'll act accordingly.
13. Today is Monday.

Prologue

Long ago, a sorcerer found an anachronism: It was a piece of technology that gave him influence over the timeline of Earth’s existence. He used it to enchant nine different objects.

He marveled at how he had enchanted some of the objects before they had ever been crafted. He would bide his time, but one day, he would search for the objects. He would find them at antique stores, pawn shops, playhouse prop closets, in abandoned archaeological sites, in operating refrigeration chests, and so on and so forth.

Yes, he would unite the items, and then summon great and terrible powers to serve him, powers from across the span of Earth’s history, from the ominous Bronze Age, from the treacherous Iron Age, and yes, even from the 1990s, a grave, dreadful era during which people wore things called “Jncos” and listened to “Hanson.”

The might of Earth’s history would be his, and with it, he would conquer such a tasteless planet.

It is time to stop talking in the future tense, because today is Monday.

Monday is the day the sorcerer said he would do all those things.

Monday was circled on his 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar.

A calendar is even one of the enchanted objects.

Not the sorcerer’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit calendar. A different calendar.

The sorcerer doesn’t even know what that calendar has pictures of. He didn’t get a chance to look at it when he enchanted it.

Maybe it’s cats. He hopes it’s cats.

Does anyone want to talk about how they are making their choices? I don't know how to determine which items are cursed, or what good it would do me since I don't know which people are bad.

I am going to vote for wand (magic spells!), camera (crime scene pictures?), radio (info?) and not sure about the last two. Maybe the costume and the ring. Disguises can be helpful and the ring could be magic, too.

People who played the games these items are from (are they all from games?) have any idea about them? Since Epi says they may be cursed, I am not so sure it much matters what we think of the items, and it's kind of a "which ones we like the sound of" crapshoot.

I am more concerned about who we give them to. Since It would be hard to tell who is/is not civ, I will vote to give them to people I think would use them well, whatever it is that they do, and hope they are civs. I had wanted to wait to get a feel for people before voting, and I opened another tab with the poeple poll, then I opened another browser to look at who voted for who, and then I realized I would not be able to vote if I left the tab here, so I am going to vote now. I logged out and logged back in, but still can't vote. Is that a glitch, once you choose "view results" in an unchanging poll you are locked out? Or is that a permanent thing?

Since I am gonna vote now, for people I'll pick DH, LC, Juliets, TH and Mac EDIT: [mention]Epignosis[/mention] it won't let me vote, I assume since I chose to view results in another browser.
