The Game Where No One Knows

Open setup. Limited PRs I'm thinking. Maybe heist to avoid total chaos, or side mission if I want to make things a little more chaotic.

Roles are randomized, but players are never told which role or alignment they are...they just play without knowing until one faction wins.

Every night, each player sends in nigh actions for all x-amount of PRs in the role list...and that in itself becomes a clue since results are revealed itt rather than PMd to anyone. A game of strategy and elimination and...chance.

obviously, I'm not going to have a clear-cut cop in this game where I just announce every night "so and so is town" or "so and so is mafia"

but I can get creative about PRs in a way that makes it a fun setup. Balanced as much as possible, but obv people playing are at a disadvantage on both teams so it won't be totally balanced.

I guess I could run it as a special game even, if enough people protest this ain't real mafia. I got no beef with that.

I have always wanted to play a game without looking at my role card and seeing what would happen if I rolled scum. This sounds pretty fun.

I think this works as a special game.

That also would give you freedom on day/night cycle and balance. I'll play.

Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.
