Hello, Earthlings!

I have come to the Earth to invade it, but also to make at attempt at reviving Burglaries.

This is a setup by Cat Fart and Mattster321 from the Pokemon Showdown mafia chat.

Number of players: 5 to 15

Here is how it works: a number of Aliens, the anti-town faction, are invading the Earth. Lynches won't work against them. Instead, Earth will have to rely on a Laser Gun that can strike them back.

One member of the town is operating the Laser Gun. They are confirmed at the start of the game. Every day, they get to shoot and kill a player.

The other members of town are Bunkers. They are the Laser Gun operator's only means of survival. Each Bunker can protect one player from a kill during the night. They are also allowed to self-target. The Bunkers each have one shot of protection for each Alien there is in the setup.

The Aliens also have lasers, though. On Odd nights, the Alien faction has a single, shared Laser Kill. On Even nights, each Alien has an individual kill, with a maximum of 2 Alien kills in the night.

The town wins if they kill all the aliens. The Aliens win if the Laser Gun Operator dies, or if all Bunkers do.

The setup varies on the player number, and goes as follows:

I intend to host this game the weekend after this one. Let's start with a tentative date/time of Sunday, May 17th, 4 PM EST. If I get at least 5 people, I'll host it, otherwise I'll try again some other time. Feel free to suggest what you think are better times, I am quite flexible about this.

quarantine got me living in the upside down. so like 8pm est is cool

i love this game tho, so if it does happen at 4pm i will *try* my best to show up.

I'll wait for more people to chime in so I can adapt if needed.

I messed with the setup a little. The original text doesn't make it clear, but I think this shouldn't have lynches, so it's basically a Kingmaker variant.

Also laser kills will happen in the day, while protects and alien kills will happen in the night.

Finally, the Bunkers won't always have 2 protects. They'll have a number of protects equal to the number of Aliens in the setup. So if we have less than 8 players, that's 1 protect per Bunker. This helps keep the Bunker's power level constant to the setup size.

Man though on MU they pretty frequently round up enough people for a turbo spontaneously. But we just can't seem to. I even tried asking on the mu discord if anyone wanted to hop in here, and nope. Ah well

Nope, the highest we ever got was 4.

It's going Heist. I think I might be able to get 5 if I keep trying over and over, but at this point I wonder why I'm even trying if doing with 10-15 people will be more fun and less annoying to achieve.

Nutes MU has a much larger base to pull from when recruiting for turbos.

it deserves a heist, i guess. getting us all in one place at one time is hard.
