In a recent discussion over Discord, we were thinking that it would be really cool to organize Among Us session(s)! For those who don't know it, Among Us is a fun online multiplayer social deduction game for 4-10 players where crewmates & impostors battle and get y e e t e d into space. The game is free on mobile and costs ~5$ on Steam.

Sounds fun, I’m interested!

I have a flexible schedule, so it's probably easier if you decide on a time amongst yourselves and inform me what that time is. I can make virtually any time if I'm given notification in advance. The only "bad" times are from 8-9am EST, to 11-12 EST on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Apart from those small 2-3 hour periods (where I am having classes), I'll be free.

The best time seems to be Friday night at 8pm EST!

My girlfriend asked if I wanted to play this together. I played a trial game to see how it works and immediately went to F3 LYLO and cast the winning vote. Bunch of scrubs don’t know who they’re dealing with.

i played a handful of "public" games, and the quality of play there is definitely going to be uh... inconsistent. But the game itself is (turbo) mafia at its core with a few added bells and whistles.

I would play Among Us with you guys sometime!

I was voted out in a game where two guys were accusing each another of killing in front of them, and I said we had to vote one of them.

I was voted out for following a guy doing visual tasks. Also been voted out for moving around the visual task waiting for somebody to come and see me doing it. In one of them I was hammered faster than I could type the explanation.

I once got killed and watched as my killer self-reported, explained it with "I saw the killer but forgot their color" and got away with it.

A guy once threatened to doxx me because I saw him killing another guy and told the other players about it.

People in general are very suspicious of following, actually. If you follow someone for a long time without killing them, they'll see it as admission of guilt, even if bodies start piling up elsewhere. Apparently they think it's a legit scum strategy to let everyone see you following your future kill target.

I just lost a game cuz the town kept trying to yeet me after I was already dead.

I can't believe this game.

But in the same day I won a game as scum after one of the two remaining townies yelled "I just looked at the other guy's phone and saw him killing!"

Uh dude if you're gonna cheat at least cheat to win.

public lobbies ... sound about what you'd expect from stuff like town of salem / epic mafia / very fast-paced mafia games :P

i couldn't find a game in which at least 3 or 4 people didnt leave from the start because they randed town

but otherwise the game is so coooolll

Best setup for publics is 8v2 so if 1 or 2 leave at start it's still mildly balanced.
