The Syndicate

This game will be role madness, can take as many people as sign up (minimum 20, ideally more). Will utilize a quasi-rock paper scissors system for abilities—characters that are Benders will have stronger abilities, but will not be able to target players of the opposite element (see Elements spoiler). There will be Non-Benders whose abilities work regardless of element, but their abilities generally won’t be as strong. Flavor will influence roles (often indirectly), but will be untied to alignment (Aang can be Mafia, azula can be town, etc.). If you have a request for a character go ahead and make it, no promises on that request being honored. Mafia will be allowed to assign their roles pregame (i.e., they will have a pool of roles and can decide which of them are which role. There will be no excess roles).

3p (that isn't a jester, no jesters, fuck jesters now and forever)
Roles that effect the reliability of information received (i.e., godfather, miller, etc.)

The rest of the setup info has been broken up into spoilers. Please read the setup before game start, this game will not make sense if you have read none of the setup. It isn't particularly complicated, just important!

In all likelihood this game will take until late June or into July to fill. That's fine, im going to be patient with it, and will do recruiting when the time comes. So people who have commitments in the immediate future but still want to play can breathe easy and /in to their heart's content

...Nothing? If you mean "why did you not join MY game instead?," then the answer is the following: this one is scheduled to start in a WHILE, and that's what convinced me to join. Also, it's on the larger side when it comes to the number of players, and I feel like playing a larger game sometime in the near future.

Yeah phases will be roughly 48 hour days 24 hour nights, adjusted to accommodate my schedule. Eod/sod will probably be at 6 or 7pm edt

I'll try to remember to ping you when we're closer to starting so you can make a decision then!

My status as sub is more just because I don't want to commit fully until it is closer to running to make sure I am in an okay place to play (there are a few things later this summer that will have me very busy). @NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME, can you also ping me when you are closer to starting... assuming you don't just see me lurking.

Unfortunately the polls don't track vote order. They used to, but that was lost in an update and we're still trying to sort it.

To track votes for analysis, if the host doesn't make calling votes obligatory, I suggest yelling and screaming at other players in the thread to ensure they're doing so in the game thread when they vote.
