hello. welcome to this BFC hosted event. i am not your usual walrus host...my categories are gonna be short and sweet and left mostly to your discretion and interpretation. no cat fails tbh, just as long as it's in the genre i ask for if i ask for a specific genre.



my rym is ~dunya for anyone who cares!

rating system out of 5 in my reveals. 0.5 bonus for songs i've never heard!


i enjoy everything, but i listen to mostly indie rock, pop, bubblegum pop, blues, jazz, and hip hop, rnb and rap. i enjoy things with lyrics more than just instrumentals.


things i don't enjoy (please dont sub these to me lol):
1. video game music--please no.
2. very heavy electronic noises/music -- not a fan.
3. death metal or extreme heavy metal (i only enjoy symphonic/soft metal and i'm picky but will love to discover new stuff like that!).
4. very long songs. like my metal, i am particular with my long song artists who i enjoy so... :P


do not sub to me these artists cos that's cheating:
cat 1: gimme hip hop! i'm a huge hip hop head and feel like the genre is vastly underrepresented in these walrii events so let's see what you got!!!

cat 2: gimme amazing lyrics! i'm someone who hears the lyrics before the music 70% of the time. gimme a song with amazing lyrics that you enjoy!

cat 3: gimme a taste of the sun! summer!! as a mediterranean june baby, i love sun and heat and summer being my favorite season! give me a song that makes me feel the rays of sunshine on my face, taste a cold mojito in my mouth and the waves of the sea on my legs!!

cat 4: gimme early morning music! something that isn't too loud, but slowly wakes you up in a peaceful kinda state. gradually. no head pounds, k????

cat 5: gimme sexy! the sexier, dirtier, more erotic the better!! not to be confused with good music to make love to, this is the sorta dirtier get you turned on kinda tunes

cat 6: gimme female vocalists! i love female vocalists, and find myself more easily enjoying a female vocalist in my preferred genres vs. male vocalist. gimme anything with solely female vocals!

cat 7: gimme YOUR song! anything you like! free category. a song by an artist you love, or just a song you enjoy rn, or even literally a song you sung (upload it to YT and gimme a link haha). anything goes. freestyle it!

i haven't decided on a deadline so i guess i'll think of that soon, but i would like to keep subs at a max of 20 (maybe 15 if i dont get much interest in these cats) to not overwhelm myself. so first come, first served!

this will be a midweek reveal. sometime between 6pm EST and 7pm EST. maybe tuesdays or thursdays. one of the T days.

not exactly. mostly same people you know (home of syn, hollowkatt and tim for example) - lovely bunch - and you can leave after reveals if you don't want to stick around! i will do reveals in their music channel.

if i was gonna wait to win a walrus on our server before i was eligible to run one, it was looking like 2059 at minimum for me, and i may be dead. i'm forever mediocre in these reveals

At this point they're happening everywhere, so it's all good. I kinda just suggested "winner goes next" the first time as a shrug process. There's no reason it must be that. Free Walrus!

I find that I have less and less time available to be present for reveals, which is a big part of what makes it fun. Also, being the musical troglodyte that I am compared to most others, it’s getting harder for me to come up with songs each walrus.

It’s my understanding that our group wasn’t going to have a repeat host until we’ve all won. That was back when there were maybe 12 people, so it may take longer to work through everyone if that is still the plan. But if we’re running two at a time now, we should get through them faster, so don’t give up hope!

we are running like max 4 a year, so it feels disheartening all the same lol ;p

no shade to people taking their time! perfectly valid, this is just for fun. but 10 cat reveals and like 1 or 2 cat reveals a month is...slow rolling it and it could literally be years before i am eligible to run one just by order of "everyone went before me" lol

anyway, i was offered a spot on bfc, i love bfc people, i took it!

probably a nice idea tbh!!!!!!! as long as there arent scheduling conflicts. for me, weekend reveals are harder and i actually think midweek reveal for me would work better so im sure syndicate walrus could fit another 2 midweek reveals or even weekend reveals rotating between bwt and them to ensure a weekly weekend reveal!

i would like first category by monday at latest at least, as i was hoping to do first reveal next tuesday after the football (so around 12ish my time / 6 pm est). i already have like 70% of you subbed that, so it's doable for me.

in future, i would want the following week's category on the day of the previous reveal. im impatient and see no reason why i should wait 4 weeks for subs when i can knock this baby out right now :P

of course, if you wanna send them all in one go, that's very cool and makes my job easier.

you are allowed to change your weekly sub categories any time up to 1 week before reveal of that category.
