Lie Detector Game

1. Make three statements. Two should be true and one should be false. Do not demarcate which is which.
2. The poster after you will guess which statement is false and then post their own three statements.
3. After that person has posted, you can tell them if they were correct. Other players can post their own three statements in the interim.
4. For obvious reasons, don't double post (except to clarify).
5. Keep a running tally of your correct guesses at the bottom of your posts. First to 100 wins!

I'll go first

I. I've never ridden a horse, but I've ridden a camel and an elephant.
2. I met David Bowie at 8 Seconds at an after-party for Sting in Gainesville.
3. I was once deposed in a malpractice case against my firm for 8 hours.

2. My favorite cake is lemon.
3. My favorite scent is patchouli.

2. Took all of the blue objects out of someone's office.
3. Printed up fake party invites from another attorney and put them in the fax machine so it looked like he had faxed us a foam & cage dancer cocktail party invite by accident.

So I decided to be a weirdo and make two of them actually false; want to re-guess?

I suppose I should have said that at first, but I wanted to see which one someone would single out first. I promise I'll play the right way hereon after. :p

What?!?!! How dare you?? You're not allowed to answer any of my questions! :P

I won't answer yours either since I already know the answer.

But here's another one for SOMEONE OTHER THAN DAISY and I am playing by the rules this time:
1. I have been registered for internet forums for over half of my life.
2. I hate soft drinks.
3. I am allergic to mold.

I don't see why not, personally!

Nope! Mine was #3. I am allergic to ragweed, but I don't have any other allergies that I know of. I can't stand soft drinks, pretty much the only time I ever will drink them is when I'm sick (when everything else tastes terrible) or if there's hardly any other option.

As to yours... how about #1?

Nope, it was #3, although many around this area were extras in Lincoln since it was filmed nearby.

Mongoose, we are never going to reach 100 in this game, because we keep getting them wrong!

Daisy, what was yours?

1. I have never eaten ham
2. Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods
3. Coffee makes me crazy and I can't drink it

#2 is your lie.

1. I have covered "Sultans of Swing" at a fair full of vets.
2. I have covered "Comfortably Numb" at a church full of old people.
3. I have covered "From the Beginning" at an elementary school full of kids.

1. I've played a professional music gig, but I didn't cash the cheque

Ah ha!

If only you'd consult a map, you would see I live right next door to the USA's largest military base, Fort Bragg. The Fort Bragg Fair was where I played my first show, as a guest with a friend's band. I played and sang "Sultans of Swing."

I did play "Comfortably Numb" in a church full of old people, and they were predictably appalled (I sounded good though, so fuck those old people).

I have never played "From the Beginning" in a school (or anywhere else outside of my home).

Your lie is #1. Every musician wants to get paid.
