All town has to do is demand the mafia to kill the red result next night. If they are still alive next day, it means either that was the goon, or mafia is gamethrowing. Mafia has to kill the result if they are the jester, because if town fulfills their promise and yeets the jester, the mafia loses too.

So the cop is actually pretty damn effective against jesters, unless they make the reveal in LyLo.

First time I played this, the guy who created the setup was one of the players.

He really liked to school people on mech play. So he explained this right at the start.

It wasn't a gambit, CCing in a Jester game didn't make much sense to me, Scotty was my top Jester read. If I appear to be the only one to not say anything / not believe Scotty's claim, I might as well out with a hard claim. I wanted to force mafia to shoot Nanook by saying I PR read him - he would be protected and would have lost as it turns out, but town decided to CFD him instead?

I think you're right. I definitely felt more confident that hk was not the Jester than I felt about Nanook, but I also proposed that POE, and no one disagreed with it.

From my pov, Scotty was the doc, you and falcon were likely town and possibly Jester, which left a POE of hk/nanook. I didn't think killing hk first made a difference.

I mean it's fair. I see why you town read them. I just think it's a little too focused on one thing.
And from the way I see it Jester is more a threat to Mafia since they want the Jester alive for protection from Cop, but not lynched because they lose.
They also just happen to be in the best position to actually know if someone is a Jester or not, so I'm thinking a focus on the Jester seems a bit more likely to come from Mafia.

Depends on how people play as 3P. I've seen players try to townside or just fuck around and be a circus act.
Also feels like it could suck for town, because like you're pointing out now, it's a distraction as well. The jester gets the attention, mafia could choose to either hide in the background or partake to blend in.
Literally just a chaotic role.
