how often do you change your sheets?

it's amazing how much conflicting numbers i get from friends on this.

i strip the sheets/pillowcase/duvet cover every 10 days. in the really hot summer months, it moves to be weekly for the sheet + pillow case. but i voted 10 days to be on average.


i wash the bed coverlet (thing i cover the whole bed with) every 2-3 weeks.

i wash the actual duvet once every 8 weeks. could do better there maybe, but the duvet covers protect it well enough!

I have one pair of sheets and pillowcases, and wash them every 3 weeks or so. 10 days seems like insanity to me.

Changing bed sheets is inconvenient, because I know I'll never get around to washing them, and the pets will inevitably find them... So they'll basically just turn into disposable pee pads if I change them before they're destroyed.

i lived many phases of my life without a dryer, and every time i went back to one i'd be like "this is basic human necessity how was i surviving without one" lol

When I can. I have a duvet cover since my washer can't handle the comforter, and my bed is pushed into a corner. It's physically intensive so I am rarely capable of changing all the linens and then doing everything else I need to do with my day. There've been times when I'm lucky to switch everything over twice a year.

In the past year, I haven't gone more than two months between changes. In 2022, no more than three weeks between. If it were up to me, it'd be weekly.

Every other week but I change pillow cases every week. In the summer I change everything every week except the cover which is still every 3 or 4 weeks because it gets very warm at night and I don't like fans or air conditioning.
