I used to do that and pretend it was an ice shish-kabob

I spent the first 2 mins of that video thinking it would be a parody.

I did not get you a clock, but I accidentally bought you two birthday cards, 'cause I forgot about the first one. Two bday cards is not very minimalist, but there's no way I can re-purpose them for anyone else.

It's nice outside today. We have our doors and windows open.

(Back to discussion with socky and Mongoose)

I think it's a bit early to even have suspicions. Not much has happened... Not discouraging sleuthing, but we've got plenty of time to gather information before forming opinions.

The problem right now is that we won't receive any concrete information for quite some time, so we don't really have much to say. It's enough time for the baddie to say something revealing but I'd be surprised if they did when they have so much time to plan out exactly what they want. I assume the normal flow of the game will be offtopic banter for the most part interspersed with llama's contests and then a few days of serious posting when a day/night change is coming up. Over analyzing the game just makes it harder to make sense of anything so it would be better to let it go and examine things when they finally start happening.

As far as the vote goes I'm not anymore sure who to vote for now than in any other day 1 lynches. Still a full week to do something about it though.

It is very difficult to discern anything worthy of a vote, especially this early. Good points illustrated there, both of you. Another thing to remember is that the baddie has no teammates, so there's no way to draw connections via voting patterns.

I think though, despite the fact that there are two players taking the game literally and have not posted ANYTHING and I applaud them for taking the game to its true level in that regard, that I probably will be voting for either of those, unless they show up before the deadline. It's what llama would want, and in lack of anything else better to go on. We'll see though.

It's true. And I'd rather not die unnecessarily since dead players can't post anymore in this game. I don't wanna miss the fun for a whole year! I might literally or figuratively die.

Yes, I think there is such a thing as taking something too literally. I think it would be an excellent baddie ploy.

What would be the most minimalist fruit?

by Mongoose
Maybe something we think of as a vegetable but is technically a fruit. E.g. a tomato.

I was going to say the smallest fruit I could think of (likely some berry), but I think the smallest food ratio per fruit item would be the way to go. Like a watermelon, for instance. It's this big, heaving leviathan, but you don't even eat half of it.

Close, but it's actually the square watermelon.

Who's up for some minimalist cinema this morning? Andy Warhol filmed Empire in 1964, an eight hour continuous shot of the Empire State Building at night. I saw it on display at the Hirschorn Gallery in DC, but I did not sit through the whole thing. If it were still showing, I would make a point to do so.

I always hoped it would be like the Night Circus, but it's mostly me being hungry and bored with a few random students that usually just come to secretly fart in the stacks and then run away back to the hallways.

I think it might be mildly haunted though.

The Night Circus was a NaNoWriMo novel. I am jealous of its success.

What, are you joking?!? I loved it. It could have been even better though. It has a special place in my heart because that's the first book my book club ever read together. We had black and white foods that day.

It actually started as a minor digression in another novel where the characters went to the circus in an attempt to boost the wordcount. The author realized that the circus was more interesting than the main plot, and so rewrote the whole thing.

I will indeed finish that, but I have to finish my Where [Vomps] Disappeared To story first.

Oh Lizzybean. You can also spell "Ali", which is a minimalist way to get the attention of someone named Alison. or Alicia or Alice or Aligarten.

Well, I'll be on vacation here in not too long, so I'll go ahead and vote just in case. I wouldn't want to miss the deadline after all of this time, lol.

Gleam and borokkuei still haven't shown up at all. I guess I'll vote borokkuei of the two because he's won a game and gleam hasn't. Lol. No idea how else to decide it and I refuse to "randomize".

Sorry, borokkuei (unless you're baddie), but it's all I have for now.

I'm going to vote for the other quiet guy, Gleam.

I know I'm voting a day early, but 1) with three weeks between votes, voting one day early is hardly early and 2) Mondays are manic and having three weeks to vote and then forgetting to vote in the 11th hour would make me nearly inconsolable and despondent.

Llama did you strictly randomize the role?

If not, I sincerely doubt that any of the quiet people are the single baddie.

Well, the role, lol. The rest of us are cannon fodder :)

But, OK, thanks for answering, I was not sure if I would have answered that question since it is either true or it is not, its a very black and white thing. So since the roles ARE randomized for sure, then anyone could be the role. Had you cherry picked, it would be very unlikely that a known low poster would have the role knowing how you feel about that.
