Secret Playerlist - ENDGAME

Welcome to Secret Playerlist Mafia

You have signed up for an experience that none of you are familiar with, it's a mafia game inside of a mafia game. Please carefully read every single word of the below. Hold each other accountable for having read it. It's extremely important.

Only 17 players in this game are really on the playerlist. 4 are mafia, 13 are town. Everybody else who is posting is not really on the playerlist, and exist simply to make it harder for you to figure out who really is. They are allowed to post on topic as long as they are otherwise following the rules of the Syndicate.

Each faction has a Scout and a Deleter. The scout can target a player every night to find out if they are a real player. The deleter gets to remove one player from the game if they aren't a real player. They can target every night but as soon as they land one, they cannot use the role again.

For town, your job is to figure out who the mafia are in a massively chaotic gamestate where you aren't even sure the player you suspect is really even in it. For the mafia, you need to survive in a game where not only actual town are trying to solve you, but maybe some of the non players know how to read you and feel like townsiding ... terrifying.

It won't be easy. It might end up a nightmare. But we're all in this together so let's just have a little fun with it all.

The Rules:

1. Votes in this game will be done IN THE THREAD. They will only count if you use the vote tags [VOTE: like so] aubergine and ALSO COPY PASTE THE VOTECOUNT ALONG WITH YOUR VOTE OR someone recognises you're a dumbass that doesn't copy the VC and does it for you and corrects it. Please just keep the VC accurate I cannot pick back through this game it will take me a decade.

2. This is a regular 48/24 mountainous game for all intents and purposes, outside of the secret playerlist mechanics. There is no hammer in effect. At the end of the day I will look at the votecount and count only the votes cast by real players to determine the elimination. NPCs votes do not count BUT THEY CAN BE ELIMINATED and they CAN BE NIGHT KILLED by the mafia. That means entire days can be wasted on killing an NPC, and so too can mafia night kills.

3. You have no idea who is in this game, but I will confirm who is definitely NOT in it in the list below. Anyone not in this list might just end up posting.

4. You must post at least 5 times per phase or you will be mod-killed with zero warning. That applies to both players and NPCs. Please try not to post too much more than 120 times per phase. I won't punish this unless you do it very egregiously and/or multiple times.

5. At the end of day 3 I will kill exactly 50% of the NPC population of the game at random, unless more than 50% of them were already killed via modkill and/or threadkill.

6. If the game is still going by the end of day 7 I will kill the rest of the NPC population in order to prevent the game from dragging out needlessly. That is to say that the NPCs will not be a factor in this game by the end of day 7.

7. NPCs have signed up pregame, but if you wish to play as an NPC and did not sign up, you have until the end of day 1 to participate via simply posting 5 times. If you wish to post on topic and in the game, you must comply with this. If you start posting on day 2 or later for the first time you will be breaking the rules of this game, and by extension the rules of The Syndicate.

10. This has a LOT of potential to be fun, but also highly stressful and confusing. You play this game knowing this is experimental and so you are agreeing to play it in good humour and fun. Don't take it too seriously and try to have a good time. If it works out even remotely well we can tweak it and continue playing Secret Playerlist style games moving forward. This is V1.
