Cherry vanilla bean, as a candle, not perfume. Perfume gives me a headache. I'd like it in an authentic old mason jar.

Um, no. It wasn't SVS. I'm gonna be a bit of a bitch here, cause I know you feel bad (and you're not stupid either, Froggy. You just let that desire for the dramatic last minute moment get the better of you). And you were here.

You posted at 8:42 PM that you intended to switch to Kate. Post #1333.

Half an hour later, I voted at 9:10, almost an hour before the poll ended. Having seen your post that you intended to switch to Kate. Post #1336

You were in the thread when I voted. I saw you in the tray.

At 9:23, You asked me and Epi our opinions on Marmot, the post right after my vote post, some 10-15 minutes later, #1337.

So tell me what kind of weak save it was when I voted half an hour after you posted you would switch it to Kate (which would have tied it), so I was aware of that and expected it. I voted almost an hour before the poll ended, and three people, two of whom could have been expected to vote for kate, didn't even show up. And you were in the thread after I voted. You knew I had voted, the poll was 4-3 from 9:10 on. Can't blame it on old SVS if you chose to wait till the end to switch it back when you had clearly stated that intention when I voted. *AND* you were in the thread to ask the Marmot question. Neither of us could know there would be 3 no shows.

One thing I learned this game is that civvies *DO* have agendas; no matter what I do or say, you and your boss is gonna find a way to make it bad.

And tbh I would be very surprised if Marmot was bad.

Also I picked - I am the one running the carousel as there was no Walrus choice.

My "perfume" would be in an old Mayo jar and would be equal parts Dirt, Mountain Air and I guess Lemon but irl it would have been Lime. Limes>Lemons

This is interesting as it's almost encouraging of my mod kill.

I haven't role claimed, just called someone my boss who died who happened to have a role. Hell, maybe I got lucky?

My entire early thing was role playing Gym Leader Larry. The tired businessman who put up with his boss Geeta.

...

That's about it.

A TR that should be applied to Sig now, a TR on me. Joke post about Marmot and a everpush on Kate.

I think, had I been paying attention, I'd have encouraged that we don't let this slot survive as long as it did. TSP's argument for the Kate wagon that others seem to agree with, haven't even been detailed with reasons. It was "I saw a wolfy post, get em" and didn't even have a quote.

I am amazed by your deductive skills!

Normal Day/Night 0 OT fest. I do have the first entry for my PoE list; I find it unlikely that Dennis and Lucy have BTSC, either bad or masons.

So much cuter Mongoose nose doesn't even fit its head 0 out of 10

This made me giggle out loud thanks for Saturday morning smiles!

I've been reading childrens books only and trying to find some that I can margin write for my Granddaughter my fave so far I found was The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse by Mackesy. I adore it's messages.

@Neon Not sure yet but eye was drawn somewhere D 0 but I'm giving it a chance since it was only D 0. So no name mentioning for yet. How about you?
Your welcome <3

I don't have many thoughts. I think Lucy is town... so like can't wait for round 2 of Neon vs everyone lol
Normally this would be OT, but since the host asked, imma call it topical. Last non fiction book I read that I really enjoyed was "I am Not a Serial Killer" by Dan Wells. It's part of a trilogy and I plan to buy the others after the holidays.

I have no reason to think Lucy is bad, she seems more interested in figuring out the last game to me so far, so I am not really seeing an agenda re this one. Civs generally always have the same agenda, if someone seems to have a different agenda, that's eye catching. But it's early times.

The only things that stuck out to me so far are Rondo calling out the first three people to post besides him and Falcon, but I didn't see his early game in LGM. This kind of thing could be the norm for him so meh. IIRC he pretty much voted for almost everyone every day, or nearly so, in LGM.

Another is Kate talking about how quiet it is with out Golden and Scotty, but not really engaging outside of OT herself. But it's early days, and I know she isn't feeling well irl, although I decided after last game to stop letting that influence me so much. I like to sort her out early becasue she can blindside me, although i can't remember the last time she was bad in a game where I was civ.

A third is Lemonfairy champing at the bit to start towards the end of zero, then falling off. Could be a time zone thing, I never played with them (hi new to me person!). I see you already voted for them; is this a real vote, a vibe vote or a placeholder until something better comes along vote? Do you have experience with them?

Other than that (and most of that is a stretch, tbh) everything else is pretty fluffy.
Next real AI post is the above. So there was a back and forth with Lucy that seemed to indicate SVS was hunting for Lucy's agenda, and upon not seeing it gave a town lean.

Hedgey takes on Lemonfairy and Kate are of note.

not trusting svs’s not BTSC after she botched that read last game
I botched what? And what would that have to do with this read? I spent most of LGM thinking you were bad, and Dennis was civ, both of which were true. Although I did misread Sabi and Soneji quite badly. I don't have a sense of either of you yet here (although as I said to Neon, I got no sense of an agenda from you in this game, either). My point about the convo here was that it did not feel like two people with BTSC. With masons in this game, it is not a statement of suspicion. It just means if it comes up later in the game, I might exclude you from being compatible with each other as teammates.
So the above is the exchange that Quin saw and thought was both wolfy and associated Dennis to Lucy. Now that both had flipped it feels VERY weird, but idk how to gauge it. Like, is it TMI that lead to this conclusion? If it is, it's a very low risk TMI. If it's an actual observation, wouldn't it be strange to have BTSC risk assessment on players you've already town leaned (Lucy)? Like wouldn't have it just made more sense to just argue that Lucy was town so the team pair doesn't make sense?

Normally this would be OT, but since the host asked, imma call it topical. Last non fiction book I read that I really enjoyed was "I am Not a Serial Killer" by Dan Wells. It's part of a trilogy and I plan to buy the others after the holidays.

Giving opinions isn't shady. Why would giving opinions ever be shady?

The difference is in the opinion you gave. Which I acknowledged felt weird.

Your other opinions at that point in your ISO were also very wishy washy. I can somewhat understand that as it was early game, but I don't know if that's AI indicative yet and I think I'd need to compare it to a previous game of yours.

Implying that my beef was with you providing opinions just feels like a sour attempt to discredit the abnormality that I pointed out without actually going into it though.

To continue SVS

So before this post here SVS quoted into the Falcon Wilgy discussion.

And that lead to this:

Things last game started way faster and I don't know how to really get things rolling.
Last game Golden pulled in town core fast plus we had a tunnel to discuss (Sean vs me) very early. Here we had slot of baked goods and warm fuzzy fluff. Fluffy games are warm and cheery, but can be slow starters until someone is actually eliminated.

I am trying to sort falcon v Wilgy. Do you have an opinion on that?
And now that I'm actually thinking about it more, while my previous thought of SVS tip toeing is true, there does seem like an attempt to understand here. This is reflected as well in the wallpost I will place below:
Spoiler: show
S~V~S wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 10:33 am @Neon Thanks, that's what I thought.

falcon: probably a wolf
DrWilgy: uwu
Kate: not obviously town (which I am taking to be slightly wolf-indicative based on seeing her as obv!town last game)
Lemonfairy: hi
Well, as others have said, it's been the fluffiest of fluffy threads so far. But I know I have been being quiet, for reasons besides the fluff, although that contributes.

On Day Zero, as soon as the thread opened Rondo was in here posting. Falcon came in a minute later, then over the next 15 minutes or so, me, Kate and Quin came in. There was chatting about the tea poll, bitching about the PG-13 warning yada yada yada.

Rondo proclaimed a bit later that me, Kate and Quin were the bad team,
RondoDimBuckle wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 10:43 pm Wolf team is Kate / SVS / Quinn
So he picked the 3rd, 4th and 5th persons to post. I assumed it was a joke (although nothing he ever posts reads like a joke to me, I can't read him at all after the one game), and moved on.

When I came into the thread after Day one started, I saw he was still on that, and had voted for me.

I'm like, Is this a joke, does he mean it? After the last game I am vaguely terrified of him (only low key kidding here). He came in to the last game like a force of nature (but he subbed in and i know when I sub in I try to establish my civ credentials early), and they kept blazing the whole game. Everyone else seems to be ignoring it, but I have been waiting for him, and he hasn't come back. It's just weird to me that he picked 3, 4, 5 even if a joke. He's usually here in the AM, my time, when I'm here, and hasn't been the last 2 days. There could be civ reasons for this, or just random Rondo reasons, and not gonna let myself get derailed by fear of being derailed, if that makes sense.

So I'm gonna stop worrying about it.

Re your list, I haven't seen anything to think Splints or Roxy is bad, but nothing to say they're sure town either. Same for Kate. In LGM, I read Kate right, but otherwise was pretty much wrong about most of my friends (I thought Mata was bad early, but I backed off, so that doesn't count imo). Kate is easier to read with Golden in the game (and I recall this going back 10 and more years ago, to other sites). They seem to have an inherent understanding of each other, and I tend to town read them both via the light they reflect off of each other, if that makes sense. She's a little cagier without that. Even in Game 1, where he was bad, he did a really good job of approximating that. So she's a harder read for me without him in thread. And she called me "Little Lady" which counts for hilarity points.

Dennis also seems less engaged than last game, but that day one towncore feel isn't here that was in his first game. He was lucky, I think, to have his first game rand civ into a game like that.

I also think Lucy is town, and to extra annoy her, she's the only person close to town lock for me.

I haven't seen Neons early game. She IS different to LGM, but like Rondo, she subbed in and when you sub in you want to make a civvie splash coming in the door.

You voted for Quin, but he's not on your list. I tend to read him as bad, why did you vote for him.

I am trying to sort the falcon/Wilgy thing. Why does falcon think that after a 48 hour fluff-fest someone should be assured of his affiliation? I'm not 100% sure I understand either side of that 1/1 with him and Wilgy. He seems legit upset about it, and I'm not sure why. I think he plays a fairly blendy civ game on short acquaintance, and he took a lot of suspish for it last game. But Wilgys reasons for suspecting him seem a bit forced to me, although I would imagine a bad Wilgy would just lick people and not bother to list suspects at all.

Neon's energy does not match my expectations, it may be AI... I think.
Can you elaborate? Certainly your lick gave off more than that? Or is it just the feels on these 2?
Yes. I think Town Falcon who is present early would have a minor interest in scouting...

This does not appear to be present so far.

Neon has seemed to drastically shift meta to come out guns blasting. Neon is a player who is good at finding town and going from there... Not this behavior we see now.

Now, I should continue my efforts at home.
I mean, NO ONE had been hunting much up to the time he said this. So this is kinda looking like a tempest in a teapot. Heh.

I think this is not the game Lemonfairy wanted to play, so they are basically shitposting so far. They seem to be a charming person, so they are charming shitposts, like someone spamming you with rainbows.

I will be home today, I'll be in and out.
Further in the above post. It feels that SVS has a lot to say about everyone, but there appears to be a lack of conclusions drawn with the exception of Lucy T.

I have never seen someone with such resistance to being townread, lol.
In some capacity, I would call it the old norm because no townie would want to die (and thus lose). :p

In this case, I think lucy is being resistant to being readable in general, not necessarily not being townread.
Mostly, I would agree with that; I am going with the "new norm" and calling townreads, but lord, it's not easy for me. And I took some flak in Game 1 because I didn't like doing it.

But yeah, on short acquaintance she seems to like cultivating an air of not quite mystery, but that's the closest I can come to what I think.

@DrWilgy I am tiptoeing a bit, since I am not sure what I think. I also attributed town actions to both of you.

If you were bad, I doubt you would have come in here all serious when people expect you not to. And I thought falcon legit looked upset by it. When he sussed me in LGM, he looked not unlike he looks here. I tend to think stuff like this on Day One tends civ/civ more often than not. Because I also don't see why you'd expect him specifically to be hunting when pretty much no one was, and why he was so sure you could not possibly misread him.

So I'm trying to sort it, becasue I can see it both ways.

@Mongoose It was years ago, They had it at a hall, and they had a magician, and tarot reader, a photo booth and lots of booths with games; it was almost like an indoor carnival.
Further data above on SVS trying to sort the Falcon v Wilgy shin dig.

Going to continue breaking this one up.

At this point, I wonder.

Does T SVS hedge on so many with the exception of Lucy, of all people, or is that more wolf inclined?

Does W SVS inquire in attempt to solve Falcon V Wilgy 4 times with only slight conclusion towards the end of the 4th post?

Look I'm sorry but Quin was wrong about 2/3 of his baddie team. Why? Idk I was wrong about my day one read of Rondo. Don't feel bad. Move on. Or add something new to your case. BTW SVS wasn't the only one sucked into your horrible ploy inre: falcon. He was elimmed bc of you imo.
I'm not done with SVS yet, just splitting it into chunks, but alas, I'll be treated like I'm death tunneling for doing so.

Hell if you read what I actually put down about day one you'd see that there's an actual argument for T SVS to be unsure about the W v F d1 foolery. Like it's not even a case, just review that's like 1/4th of the way done.

Falcon was elimmed because of a poor response he did. He chose to not assess me, knee jerk react, then afk and went over because of it. Don't blame me for moving the game out of fluff fest 2022.
