Hey folks,

The 10th season of the Mafia Championship on Mafia Universe is coming up sooner than some might think. That means we should begin to think about who will represent The Syndicate this time around.

It has become a proud tradition!

Any member of The Syndicate is eligible to represent us, as long as they have played here at some point. This has never been a terribly complicated process for us, so here's all you need to know:

If you would like to represent The Syndicate yourself, either say so in this thread or send me a PM. You will immediately become one of the candidates.

If you want to see another specific member represent us, you may use this thread to nominate them. Just tag them in here (with the mention function), and they can either accept or decline that nomination. If accepted, they'll be a candidate too. If a user declines a nomination, we should respect that!

In a few weeks, we'll see how many candidates we have amassed and then go from there. If necessary, we'll likely hold a site-wide vote of some kind. We will almost certainly send a primary representative and have a backup/substitute as well.

The most important qualification to have to represent The Syndicate in the tournament: be a kind, congenial representative that will give other participants the impression of community and good will that The Syndicate has always been inspired by. The competitive nature of the tournament (i.e., "being good" and "advancing to the Finale") is great, and participants are encouraged to play to their heart's content -- but the most important thing is always being a good ambassador for the site. We have countless great players and great people, and you can be certain whoever it is will have a strong contingent of spectators rooting them on.

Some pertinent information:

The setup is not finalized, but you can expect something vanilla-heavy with a small number of power roles.

The qualifier round usually takes place in April-May. Semi-finals may be in August-September, and the Finale in October. Give or take.

The games can be fast-paced (not always). A post cap will likely be instituted to mitigate the activity level, and it will probably not be more active than most recent Syndicate outings (other than Rackets).
