GAME DESIGN:

• Closed Setup
• 48/24 hr Day/Night phases
• There are NO vanilla roles in this game
• There are unconventional aspects to this game, but know that the hosts will never lie to you.
• NO INFODUMPING/ROLE-CLAIMING. This means no fake claiming, or outing of host-derived information gleaned from action results or Behind-the-Scenes-Chats, etc. (If you think something you are saying could be overstepping, please ask us first). This is in place to maintain game integrity.
• If you are told to vote for a specific person, or are given a task or a curse, IT IS UNDERSTOOD that you are not to make it obvious. Don't overstep this line.
• It is our policy to not allow prize discussion in our games. If you did (or did not) win a prize at any time in the game, please do not discuss this in the thread
• No Angleshooting. We all know what straight-up cheating looks like (posting screenshots of host communications, illegal BTSC, etc). I don't care for anything that even remotely resembles cheating. Play both within the rules and within the authentic spirit of Mafia -- to sort the game exclusively with the content of this game thread, any legal BTSC, and/or your own role card. If you are considering something that you think might skirt the line, please ask the hosts first.
• Knowingly violating these rules can undermine the balance and integrity of the game and as such will be strictly penalized

POSTING, VOTING AND ACTIONS:

• Votes are changeable
• Votes MUST be both in-thread AND the poll to count
• No hammer
• Ties will not result in no-elimination
• Self-voting does not count
• There is no double-targeting in consecutive cycles
• Actions are due 2 HOURS before End of Phase
• Please post at least once a day. We are not afraid of modkilling anyone for lack of posting.
  If you have not posted for two cycles without first informing the hosts (out of town, etc) you will be modkilled. There are no replacements and we expect participation from a champion such as yourself.
  If you miss two dayvotes, no worries. It happens to everyone. If you miss three or more, you will be roleblocked each night it happens thereafter.

The town wincon is:

You are town, and win when all threats to town have been eliminated.

Coach Scotty was a fast walker, and the small group of athletic hopefuls had trouble keeping pace as he careened down the trail towards the West Facility.

After roughly 20 minutes of walking through rivers, across a highway, and even stopping for a pit stop at a gas station so Scotty could grab a can of baked beans, the team finally arrived at the West Facility..if they could even call it a facility.

It was more of an encampment, really. The “building” was comprised of various large, open-air tent structures, and a large tennis court in the center.

Scotty, sweaty and spoon-feeding himself beans from the can, pursed his lips and whistled to himself. He turned to his charges and addressed them as if he were motivating a Grecian army into battle.

“The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here,” he began, summoning his best Lincoln. “But we have not begun…not yet anyway. But when we do begin, we will finish- finish the season. And win. Probably. Maybe?” He dropped his can of beans absent-mindedly.

“Eh, you get the point. We’re gonna practice, and practice, and some of you may die in the process; many do under my coaching. It’s not a flaw, goddamn it! It’s a character-building feature! And it’s a reason we’re gonna win it all this year.”

The group looked less than confident. Scotty sensed this, and pulled a mafia bat out from his…pocket? No one was sure. But he threw it towards the group, and it clattered to the ground.

“No one quite knows how to play MafiaSportsball, but we’ll go slow and steady, and we’ll figure it out together. Because that’s what winners do.”

He blew the whistle.

There’s a button here to call someone to unlock the case. The button doesn’t do anything. I found someone and she told me to go to customer service and they’d have to page someone. So I go to the customer service guy on the other side of the store and he says “well let me check who’s over there” and walks like a video game character you have to follow to complete a quest across the store to the automotive section, where he looks around and says “there’s no one here, I’ll have to go page someone”. Then he walks back to the customer service case at a pace that would make a snail blush and 10 minutes later I hear the announcement over the intercom, someone to I25. That was 10 minutes ago. I’m still here.

Anyway, I wonder if we're split randomly or if there's a balance in some way. In Severance, it was pretty clear that there'd likely be an even amount of wolves on both sides for the most part (although PRs were pretty skewed) but I'm not sure that holds up here.
