GENERAL RULES:

The Moderators on Duty remain @fingersplints and also @Hally.

Coach Scotty was a fast walker, and the small group of athletic hopefuls had trouble keeping pace as he careened down the trail towards the West Facility.

After roughly 20 minutes of walking through rivers, across a highway, and even stopping for a pit stop at a gas station so Scotty could grab a can of baked beans, the team finally arrived at the West Facility..if they could even call it a facility.

It was more of an encampment, really. The “building” was comprised of various large, open-air tent structures, and a large tennis court in the center.

Scotty, sweaty and spoon-feeding himself beans from the can, pursed his lips and whistled to himself. He turned to his charges and addressed them as if he were motivating a Grecian army into battle.

“The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here,” he began, summoning his best Lincoln. “But we have not begun…not yet anyway. But when we do begin, we will finish- finish the season. And win. Probably. Maybe?” He dropped his can of beans absent-mindedly.

“Eh, you get the point. We’re gonna practice, and practice, and some of you may die in the process; many do under my coaching. It’s not a flaw, goddamn it! It’s a character-building feature! And it’s a reason we’re gonna win it all this year.”

The group looked less than confident. Scotty sensed this, and pulled a mafia bat out from his…pocket? No one was sure. But he threw it towards the group, and it clattered to the ground.

“No one quite knows how to play MafiaSportsball, but we’ll go slow and steady, and we’ll figure it out together. Because that’s what winners do.”

He blew the whistle.


Day 1 has begun. Day 1 will end January 29th at 7pm Eastern.

When the team showed up to their facility, a new notice, printed on a boldly-colored multicolor slab, was posted on the bulletin board.

Upon closer inspection, it was just titled 'EAST FACILITY' and listed names and corresponding checkboxes beneath it. When Coach Scotty arrived to open up the equipment lockers, someone asked him what the purpose of the list was, and Scotty shrugged. "Dunno. Never seen that before in my life. Also I can't read."

There’s a button here to call someone to unlock the case. The button doesn’t do anything. I found someone and she told me to go to customer service and they’d have to page someone. So I go to the customer service guy on the other side of the store and he says “well let me check who’s over there” and walks like a video game character you have to follow to complete a quest across the store to the automotive section, where he looks around and says “there’s no one here, I’ll have to go page someone”. Then he walks back to the customer service case at a pace that would make a snail blush and 10 minutes later I hear the announcement over the intercom, someone to I25. That was 10 minutes ago. I’m still here.

I propose we kill scrappy doo

Two of the mechanics came out of the shop to buy a Dr Pepper and I ambushed them. They have now been looking for the keys for 5 minutes

@Scotty @S~V~S I choose Master Radishes for Secret Santa.

Next step is of course change my headlight in the Walmart parking lot

I'm somewhat baffled you seem to expect professional automotive service at Wal Mart

I think someone chose me as their secret santa! I don't see anyone on that list I wish to Secret Santa.

Do I need to read the last half of night 0? I'm on page 7 and now there's 14.

Doesn't masoning with someone mean having town BTSC with them? I just read the night 0 part with all the "oh, I'm masoning with you!" So is that just... agreeing to trust each other?

I looked at the last couple of posts. Sabiplz will be upset if we don't take out leetic today.

Kids these days will use “mason” to mean they are committing themselves to a town read on a player. Also their music is too loud.

Well, most of the more… overbearing, shall we say people are in the other thread, so that's good. Either way, we have a more manageable number of people and a fresh start! @S~V~S I'll take Lime Coke by the way

Anyway, I wonder if we're split randomly or if there's a balance in some way. In Severance, it was pretty clear that there'd likely be an even amount of wolves on both sides for the most part (although PRs were pretty skewed) but I'm not sure that holds up here.
