I've been thinking about it (I think I've seen maybe the first 2-3 episodes), but then I saw an ad last night that the entire X-Files series is now on Hulu, so I'm torn.

Pro tip: If you do watch it (and this goes for anyone who hasn't seen it or is watching it for the first time), quit after the 4th season. It peaks. Hard. And definitely don't watch the final season if you ignore that advice (by the time you got there, you would be ready to quit anyways).

Season 3 isn't as good as the first 2 if it starts making you want to quit, but 4 is the best, so it's worth going through season 3 for. I don't hate s5 as much as most people seem to (and on a rewatch I actually enjoyed it more than the first time around), s6 started out with potential but went downhill fast, s7 found a way to make it worse, and if you continue on to s8... well you've been warned.

I would extend that to season 6. Seven blows, parts of 8 are good, but the last episode made me want to throw a brick at my TV.

I was disappoint.
