Fight Club Mafia

Narrator – The unnamed narrator initially pursues the ideals of Fight Club with Tyler Durden until becoming disillusioned. Has anonymous BTSC with Tyler Durden for a specified period of time. Narrator cannot be recruited to Project Mayhem. Wins when Tyler Durden is dead. (Secrets)

Marla Singer – The woman who drives the divide between Tyler Durden and Narrator. Marla cannot be recruited to Project Mayhem. Wins with Narrator. (Secrets)

Policemen – Actively attempt to stop Project Mayhem to keep order in the city. Once Project Mayhem begins, they collectively search one player of their choice every night for suspicious activity. If they find a member of Project Mayhem, they kill them. All Policemen have BTSC with each other. All unrecruited Policemen win when Tyler Durden is dead.

Private Investigator – Hired when at least one player has died during a fight. He knows the identity of all Policemen, but they do not know his. Assists the Policemen by investigating one player of his choice every night. He compiles all the information he can on his target, including whether they have been engaged in suspicious activity, and sends the relevant information to the Policemen in the form of a report.

Civilians – No role power. Win if they survive until end of the game, unless recruited to Project Mayhem.

Subliminal Message Decoder – The first player to uncover and address the content of the host's signature will be given this role. The role's alignment is dependent upon the alignment of the player who earned it; as such, the role is kept in addition to the player's previously assigned role. The Subliminal Message Decoder watches Fight Club religiously; every night, he spots a message hidden in the film, and if he successfully decodes it, he gains inside knowledge about the game and its players.

Tyler Durden – Tyler Durden is relentless in pursuing the ideals of Fight Club and the destruction of society’s status quo. Has anonymous BTSC with Narrator for a specified period of time. Wins when Project Mayhem is complete and when all unrecruited Policemen are dead. (Secrets)

Prologue to Project Mayhem

The players stand around in a circle, looking at each other. A recent memory fades in and out of their minds:

An enormous crowd of guys stands around Tyler, who's in the center of the circle, holding up his hands to quiet them.

TYLER: "I look around... I look around and see a lot of new faces."

The crowd lets out an enthusiastic rumble.

TYLER: "Shut up!! Which means a lot of you have been breaking the first two rules of fight club."

A glum silence falls. The guys look at each other.

TYLER: "I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who have ever lived -- an entire generation pumping gas and waiting tables; or they're slaves with white collars. Advertisements have them chasing cars and clothes, working jobs they hate so they can buy shit they don't need. We are the middle children of history, with no purpose or place. We have no great war, or great depression. The great war is a spiritual war. The great depression is our lives. We were raised by television to believe that we'd be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars -- but we won't. And we're learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed-off."

The crowd erupts into a deafening chorus of agreement. Narrator looks at the blazing excitement in the eyes of the crowd.

TYLER: "We are the quiet young men who listen until it's time to decide."

It is now Day 1. You have 48 hours to decide who will fight.

Im guessing players are divided in streeets, We are Penns grove, NJ, and we are one group in one thread

I agree with your assessment about the separation. I don't think this is a straight up lynch poll though. I would guess maybe we are choosing two people to fight each other. What that entails I am not sure. I doubt someone dies from each thread so I'm not sure how that works...

Oh, wow, this game's gonna hurt my brain.

So I agree, this seems like a poll to decide which two people "fight", but what does that mean? Does the loser "die"? Are they out of the game?

Since this IS Fight Club, I'll put my name into contention. I have a feeling we are all going to fight in this game, probably often, so I'll gladly go first.

I think you are right. I don't think the loser will die, but I'm not sure how a person will be lynched each day when we are all in separate threads.

If every groups picks one player, perhaps the lynched player will come up from that specific group?
Like they will be "fighting" in some way

I don't think it will work that way because there are only two people to a fight, as per the Fight Club rules. I can't see Alex not reflecting that rule in his mechanics.

Personally, I dont want to be voted for in the poll, mainly cause the paranoia of resulting in a negative thing,

but if people are willing to risk it
I feel is ok to vote for them, as there is not much to go on, and MP seems to be a snicky host

Also, it is weird to see a game with so many players with such a quiet thread, LOL. I guess that is good though, so none of us are getting overwhelmed. I seems like a pretty interesting set up. Bit similar to Lost mafia over there on RM. was it Rabbit who hosted that?

I was getting worried about keeping up reading with so many players,
I dont really like or tent to play with that many people cause sometimes I can be a little lazy and be a slow reader
so I was actually a little relief not to, and see we are only 9 for now, cause I has a theory that we will eventually merged in one thread

Im liking so far this game is gonna be different

I did not play the lost game, cause it was a sock puppet game, and I also dont really like playing games likes that from a game mechanics point of view, but thats another story :P

Yeah, I was worried about the pace of the game, but really, this hasn't been very bad at all, lol.

I'm going to vote myself for the poll. Obviously these fights are going to be a big part of a game called Fight Club, so may as well find out what it's all about.

if you are rirght about fighting with someone here

But my money is that the winner will fighting a player from another thread, like we are 38 players in the sign up thread,
so around 9-10 players perhaps per group, so maybe there are 4 threads
so 4 groups meaning 2 fights
or if there is 4 players, from 4 thread, then something will happen like a lynch amongs those 4 top getter

Thats my crazy theory of the day

Im thinking on votting for a volunteer or a none player shown (cause thinking perhaps if something bad could happend is better that happens to someone who is not even playing and not to someone who is playing )

At the end, I feel better votting for a none show instead of someone who is playing in case this poll ends on a lynch as my theory, even if people had volunteer
This early, if is a lynch, I think is better it goes to someone who is missing and is not adding anything

and timmer still on the lead in case, is a 2 player figth as his theory, he is gonna have few oppponents

Sorry, had a weekend of drinking and roller coastering. I did indeed know this started, and that I had till late today to catch up and vote so I am on top of things : D
I am never this busy, so I don't expect it to happen again.

I actually was going to vote for myself as well, because as others have said I just can't imagine a lynch vote being so soon, and this is fight club so fighting being an important part makes sense. It is assumed by some this is a "loser dies" scenario but you never know, nor do we know what the outcome will be. What happens to the winner? I will take the risk and vote myself to fight.

I agree. I don't know anything about most of them, but the Wilmington fight club is the original. That could prove interesting, but I don't know that it will be any different than here. I am torn, it would be cool to see other fight clubs but it would always be interesting to see who comes here.

I wonder, if we have the opportunity to check out other fight clubs, if the various parties in this game will use this strategically. As I understand it, we've got got Project Mayhem people, and policemen around. Would they use this poll for positioning? Something else? Definitely, the numbers could get all messed up, if we assume that they all started off roughly equal in numbers. Imagine one fight club with 3 people, and another with 14, lol?
