The DH Reviews! My Upcoming Youtube Channel

Hi guys! So I've decided to start a youtube channel dedicated to TV show reviews, and I would love it if you guys watched/subscribed when things got going. Next week I'll be putting out a few videos and then after that, 3 or 4 weekly reviews.

It's very bare bones for now, because I don't want to ruffle Youtubes feathers with Channel art that is going to get claimed or something like that. Once I really get going I'm gonna see about getting some art up on the channel to make it look good

I'll watch your show, but only because you actually show up for D&D. If rey made a show, I'd probably not watch it.

I just think the guy is crazy talented and versatile even though he doesn't get much mainstream praise. I remember watching Grounded for Life. I loved that show, and he was funny. But he also played Dan Scott in The Patriot, and even though he had only a few lines, you could sense the almost spiritual change his character went through.

Also just a small side note if you have adblock please disable it when watching one of my videos. Its just a small 15 second ad every now and then at the front of a video that really goes a long way in helping me out so I can continue to do this and hopefully make a go at doing this full time.

I also apologize guys for the black screen blinking in some of the videos, I was talking to leggy in IRC about it and it's perfectly fine on my end, but when youtube puts the videos up, the blinking happens in some spots.

I will look into fixes for later

I would like to see more physicality. Moving your head or shoulders as you talk, making hand or arm gestures. Since your medium is video you need to engage people visually as well as by content and voice tone. You have a good speaking voice, with varying pitch and rise and fall. Accompanying gestures might be engaging.

Hopefully constructive criticism is OK?

Yeah I agree with that :P

The thing is my webcam makes me nervous because its very hard to focus. And the way my desk/mic is set up sometimes I'll make a hand gesture and bump the table and wreck the audio :P As these things continue and continue I think I'll get more comfortable and animated.

Yeah I agree with that :P

To offer a counterpoint, knowing your format, I like turning on your video and then being able to continue my work. I get the audio but don't have to worry about missing something visual.

Yeah I felt the same way recording/editing that AoS one. This first week has been nice in that I'm getting more and more into it.
