I'm in love. Finished season 1 and started season 2, and iunneven. I just can't even.

Anyone else have recommendations for tv shows with the word black in them? I've been a pretty big fan of those recently.

What's that bout yo?

Its a group of people going around battling magical beasts, collecting magical artifacts, etc. Similar to Warehouse 13 if you've seen that. Based on "The Librarian" which was a series of I think either movies or specials for TV.

Been feeling a little too sick to do reviews. Finally getting better.

Galvant reviews will be next week though, for the premiere and for the coming episode. Since my other shows are on break next week :P

Just watched the first episode of Wolf Hall. Holy crap what a total Supernerd Tudor geekout extravaganza!!

Mark Rylance is AMAZEBALLS, as is the rest of the cast, so far I think the adaptation from the novels has been thoughtful, I LOVE the choices they're making with lighting, and I LOVE that there is very little attempt to simplify a complicated plot for a broad audience.

I am going to marry Mark Rylance, and Hilary Mantel will officiate.

That is all.

I like Backstrom - I watch it when Diggz isn't around. It's not omg mindlblowingly awesome - it's pretty much what you'd expect. Alcoholic and caustic Dwight solves murder crimes - but I enjoy it. :)

I would describe it the same way. It is not appointment TV for me but passes the time pretty well. House as a detective.

I was trying not to say it's House as a detective even though it is -

Only because House was supposed to be Sherlock as a doctor -

And if we're making that comparison we should all be watching ya know.... Sherlock.

And Elementary - because they are both pretty rad. :)

But I like Backstrom too - the supporting cast is starting to come into their own and that's fun. :D

That's good to hear. I was kinda worried about that. A lot of times when a show has such a fantastic center character it makes the supporting cast seem flat and boring.

For me - I think it as the exact opposite problem. Backstrom is interesting - but a type. He's excactly what you'd expect if you mooshed House and Dwight together. The supporting cast is interesting to me in a) how they deal with him and also b) because they don't really fall as much into a "type" There are more than one of the supporting cast that I always seem to find myself paying more attention to than Backstrom - so I like that about the show.

I'm liking Better Call Saul, it is as good as I expected.

Battlestar Galactica was pretty damn good, but it kind of lost me toward the end, especially the Starbuck thing.

My favourite line in the entire series is Saul Tigh during, what was it, the Trial of Gaius Baltar? "You hear that? They're playing music in here now?" Saul was my favourite.

Is anyone even watching The 100???

Yeah, it's on The CW network.

It's 100 years since a global disaster (nuclear?) rendered the Earth uninhabitable. There's several hundred people living on an orbiting space station called The Ark, something they cobbled together from a few stations that existed with the poop hit the fan.

Resources are running out, and the Ark government makes the decision to test the Earth for habitability by sending down 100 young people (mostly teenagers) who are also convicts. When they reach the ground, they not only find out that the Earth is habitable... there is apparently a sizeable group of people who did not leave, and did not die.

Dom, this show makes all the right moves for me. I am just loving it.

I echo LC's thoughts here.

Diggz and I have been enjoying the heck out of this show. Given all the circumstances of all the people involved they make some fucked up right at the time choices. And the production is nice as well. They use music in an interestingly fitting way.

The radiohead song at the end of S! is one of my more favorite uses of music in TV in recent history.

I have been watching several series lately, most of tthem all are in break now
but Im waiting for them to eventually continue:

Falling Skies, I like it a lot since the start, coming final season

The 100, second season finished, the actor from lost, can not recall his real name "Desmond" is In (too lazy to google him), with himself the show is already great for me, but is a good concept

Extant, With Halle Barry, I like the sci-fi concept

Legends with Sean Bean as main characther, a good amount of paranoia and detectives, good show

The Strain based in the books of Guillermo del Toro, (I read the first book and the show is very close to it)

The Walking Dead, just finished watching the last episode today :omg:

Waiting for Game of Thrones

12 Monkeys, based in the movie which is one of my favorites movies ever, so far Im intrigued and Im ok with the modifications and changes

I just started in on Walking Dead last week, albeit slowly. I'm way too squeamish for this show and yet it draws me in.

Four episodes in a week. I finished Breaking Bad in about 3 weeks-ish.

I'm glad to find someone else who is squeamish about Walking Dead. I watched the first two and gave up. I also don't watch GoT or The Following for the same reason.

Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.
