My favorite part: the soundtrack is entirely made up of scores from other films, with a bunch of iconic Carpenter and 70's thriller stuff in there. Also, Julia Roberts can actually act. Who knew?
insertnamehere I'm happy to report that this time you were correct. Homecoming was good. Extremely Sam Esmail.

Green Book is what happens when "that white guy with a black friend" decides to write a movie. If you don't think about anything, it's a pleasant little film. But it's somewhere near the end, around the moment where a scene with a nice cop shows up, existing for no narrative purpose at all except that "that white guy with a black friend" felt that the film should have that scene (for balance? Because saying that not all cops are racist is important to white guy with a black friend?) That you realize that the writer of this film doesn't know anything about racism at all.

I think Crash had more to say about it. And I mean the Cronenberg one.

But ey, we all get to pat ourselves on the back because we aren't racists, so we feel good.

Meh.

I love umbrella academy! It's fun and I like the music. It definitley has a lot of tropes you see in a lot of other things but I think it combines them all in a good way to make for an enjoyable show. Also since I loved misfits I feel like klaus is nathan 2.0 haha

I don't get to sit down and watch a movie much anymore, and when I do, I often regret it.

However, we just finished Netflix's The Highwaymen starring Costner, Harrelson and Bates. I remain thoroughly impressed with the experience overall and recommend this film.

Just finished a show called Travellers. It's on Netflix.

One of the best time travel stories I've ever seen. It's a bit dark, but damn if it's not an intelligent show. It explores a lot of ethical and philosophical questions about time travel, and leaves you scratching your head about them even though you wanna root for the protagonists.

It has about 30 episodes. Unfortunately it was cancalled this year, though the episodes made so far leave a pretty satisfactory ending for the show.

Spoiler: show
Although it's basically a sad ending followed by a reboot

Also thinking about starting a new Netflix series (as long it isn't highschool romance stuff, 13RW is enough).

It's probably my favorite animated series ever. The only competitor that comes to mind for me is The Simpsons. Certainly others like Futurama were good, but this one really hits my marks.

Jessica Jones. I'm still on season 2. I'm not much of a binge watcher, I really like the pace of watching an episode once in a blue moon. The characters welcome me back but everything's still super fresh.

It's probably my favorite animated series ever. The only competitor that comes to mind for me is The Simpsons. Certainly others like Futurama were good, but this one really hits my marks.
One of the final episodes is my favorite from any animated series that I’ve seen. I don’t want to say anything more because spoilers, but it may be obvious which one I’m talking about.
Just finished the series, and well, yep.

I'm so excited that I finally have Netflix and can see Bojack. I have to start at the beginning though.

What I'm watching now is a fascinating documentary called Cheer on Netflix. If you've been a cheer leader, wanted to be a cheerleader or had no interest in being a cheer leader you will still find this an interesting depiction of leadership and teamwork as well as some other things which I will not say for fear of spoiling.

Stumptown on Hulu. Cobie smulders deserves some awards, and the rest of the cast is great too

I've been watching Schitt's Creek after delaying for a couple years. It's a fantastic show. I love the character development for Alexis, David, and Johnny.

Treat it as you would The Office (US). Power through the first season and then enjoy a significant improvement from that point onward. I rather like the first season of The Office now but it was the dealbreaker for me the first three or four times I tried to watch the show. I feel Schitt's Creek is similar, as the characters in the first season are rather true to their caricatures, and they only become real human beings in the second season.

I have been rewatching Battlestar Galactica recently along with some other friends I know (who hasn't seen the show). I'm currently two episodes into Season 3.

This is one of my favorite shows tbh. It's really good.

I have also been watching Qzark. I'm 8 episodes into Season 1. This one's also really good.

Also thinking about starting a new Netflix series (as long it isn't highschool romance stuff, 13RW is enough).
Update on this: The Protector had some great plot twists and I'm quite surprised by how the story changed through its four seasons. 13RW and Arrow sadly I didn't really get the hang.

Just started watching Shadow and Bone which seems fairly promising. Also currently waiting for the second seasons of Tribes of Europa and Invisible City, both had me wondering what will happen next.

I'm a couple of episodes into Tribes of Europa as well actually. Really interesting series. I haven't seen an episode in a while now though.

I've watched the first episode of Shadow & Bone. I should get back on that.
