Rice, stir-fried corn beef, blackened chicken, soup with pork, onion, ginger, veggies, and eggs with fishballs.

Tonight I prepared Marsala-braised country style ribs with mushrooms, tortellini and baby spinach. Cabernet to wash it down.

Born on the 4th of July pizza. From a local joint I like.

Red sauce, mozz, bacon, ground beef, red onions, cheddar and pickles. THE PICKLES ARE SO GOOD OMFG. They are SO crunchy, thick and salty. MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This is true!! It's nice having a Cafe Yumm just a couple minutes from campus.

Yeah there are a few in Portland now! (I've heard they used to just be in Eugene and have spread pretty recently) But you can also buy big bottles of the sauce from New Seasons and my housemates make homemade yumm bowls with it and sometimes I use it for other stuff it's just sooo good

Both.

I prefer the 'chocolate' candy corn myself. It's got a better flavor than the regular stuff. My wife won't touch either kind.

Objectively, candy corn shouldn't be edible, but I will eat handful after handful of it around this time of year and be very happy.

good, but all these candies that they say "taste like candy corn" sound gross.

I'm pretty much with llama. I don't like candy corn, I profess to hate it, but I'm a dirty hypocrite and have eaten a few this week. It's one of the worst candies ever, but it's still candy, and sometimes I'll take whatever form of sugar is thrown at me.

Mongoose gave me some steak knives, so I cooked a top sirloin with some bourbon, butter, and onions. I don't really know how to cook, but it seemed pretty tasty to me, washed down with a nice drop port.

It has taken me 23 years to discover Elvis Sandwiches and let me just tell you I am a changed man. I have been to the mountaintop.

First, Mongoose is tolerant of lifestyles different from her own.
Second, she is no longer a vegetarian, because obviously.

Top sirloin is my favorite cut of meat. It is leaner than what most steak lovers prefer, but I don't like big chunks of fat in my meat. I would say it's fairly tender, though not as much so as filet mignon. I think the flavor of a good top sirloin can't be beat.

My housemate has been making this amazing Vietnamese coffee cake and everyone loves it. It's strongly coffee flavored cake with cardamom in it as well and covered with delicious gooey coffee-flavored condensed milk.
So I'm having a warm slice of that with a warm mug of maple-peanut-butter milk (sounds weird but it's good -- mix together a spoonful of PB and a couple tablespoons of maple syrup in a mug, fill it with milk and microwave it. Tastes kinda like those Mary Jane candies. also good with espresso and/or cocoa)

just had a cheese and homemade fig jam sandwich with a nice serving of butter (wrap but I call it a sandwich ok?)

it was amazing. my mom makes the best fig jam in existence. be jealous.

I just had a bowl of chicken ramen. It was regrettable.

I have a love/hate relationship with ramen. I eat it, but I always feel bloated right after and promise myself "never again". Until the next time I'm lazy af and hungry.
