This was the first movie I saw in a theatre! I wanna play!

And I think I should get to be Jessica Rabbit because I TOTES look exactly like her.......only without the boobs....and the lips.....and the tiny waist....and the big eyes.....and the general sultryness...and the ability to rock a red sequin number like nobody's business.....ah fuck it. Basically I just have red hair.

:suspish:

linki: Well, that just makes my joke not so funny.
Damn you llama! :shakes fist:

Posting anyway. :noble:

I liked showing The Princess Bride in Creative Writing for filmography. I used it in English II for archetypes, too. Shoot, I even used Monty Python and the Holy Grail one year for Brit Lit after the medieval unit. I can justify just about anything in the name of education :noble:

With Roger Rabbit, I had my students read an interpretation that the movie was a metaphor for "Black Hollywood," discussing the segregation between Toons (blacks) who were secondary and meant to serve humans (whites). I ran this in conjunction with a piece on Men in Black, in which a writer offered a view that the aliens were representative of minorities.

It was interesting stuff. Most students concluded that both authors were full of shit. I was proud.

Epi, will this be a 48/24 or a 24/24 game?

Also, what are your rules regarding participation score?

Yeah, we demand answers!
I ask primarily because both of these are new mechanisms, and I think both should be made clear to players signing up, not because either answer really affects me personally. But sure, WE DEMAND ANSWERS.

If we have the option, I'd prefer the 24/24 option.

I designed the mechanism so that hosts decide before sign-ups and should inform their players at the outset, but since it's a new rule or maybe because he is running the 'normal' 24/24, I'm sure Epi just forgot and didn't specify it -- even I forgot at first, lol. It's really designed for flexibility from the host's perspective, but surely it does for the players as well.

I didn't really think many hosts would give their players the option of selecting, but I suppose they could, and so if he does allow the option, I will say that I'm indifferent.

I prefer 24/24, and I think anyone who says anything mean about me should be counted as a non-participant.
