Has anyone ever played Avalon? It is another werewolf ish game with deceit etc but no player elimination, I think it would be fun on the forum.

Never heard of it. Do you have a more detailed description?

This would be fun!

I've played The Resistance and Coup plenty of times, but don't really have experience with Avalon.

Avalon is a game of hidden loyalty. Players are either loyal servants of Arthur fighting for goodness and honor or aligned with the evil ways of mordred. Good wins the game by successfully completing three quests. Evil wins if three quests end in failure. Evil can also win by assassinating Merlin at games end or if a quest cannot be undertaken.

Players may make any claims during the game, at any point in the game. Discussion, deception , accusation, and logical deduction are all equally important in order for good to prevail or evil to rule the day.

Base idea: game like mafia that hosts up to 10 players and does not have player elimination. There is a good team and a bad team. Unlike mafia, the good team only slightly outnumbers evil. One person is Merlin and knows the identities of the minions of mordred. Unfortunately, one of the evil players is the assassin. At game end, if good has successfully completed three quests, the assassin may kill one player. If that player is Merlin, evil wins instead. Therefore, Merlin must subtly guide his team to victory.
