Yes i'm watching game 1 and there are definitely some differences in the way the group plays and the way we play. No roles or role descriptions, a lot of random voting to start the game out but they are also doing some data finding about how everyone plays at their home site so someone deviating won't be especially suspicious for it. I definitely hoping TH is reading along.

I've been reading along with Game 1 and taking some mental notes. They definitely play a little differently than we do, it's more like the K-Site setup for those who have played over there before. Gonna try to peak into the Skype chat after work and see what that's all about

i haven't used my skype in so long I can't remember how to get on. Glad you're in on it TH, thats what's important. I think you'll do fine since you've played at K-site. They use a lot of jargon I'm not familiar with but some of it is on their website where they have instructions for playing the game and definitions and other things.

The game has been pretty interesting to watch. I have not been in the spectator chat, but watching the game on my own in the thread, and i already have some "feels".

I was 2/3 right~ I predicted Paperblade, Bubbbles & itisally for Mafia in game 1. I was wrong about Itisally. But that was fun to watch

I also had 2/3 pegged. I've been following along the whole game in case I get the opportunity to play next year

I had zaccino and paperblade pegged. Zaccino from day one would have been my nonstop target, his tone was just unbelievably vile. I couldn't believe Bubbles was mafia TBH.

I tend to overcompensate for tone. Zacc sounded so rude, I thought he could not possibly be bad, Lol. I gotta work on that. Bubbles seemed shifty to me.

When is game 2 starting?

Their forum is set up more like LP, it took me a few to find it, it looks like it started Monday?

They are in night right now, they start day 2 in @ 2 hrs.

I would hate to be a mafia in these games what with the nights starting at night and running through 8 am the next morning. Half of that time at least I would be asleep, and thats the only time they can talk.

Don't be nervous TH. Just learn a few of their norms - like if you're a seer, if you hit a baddie you have to claim unless you hit the baddie the first night then its ok I think to peek the second night too. If your lucky you hit town - town - baddie or wolf i guess they are called. The important difference from our games is you're expected to info dump once you've found a baddie. You will be killed of course in the next nk.

Ask MP for some music videos of incredibly obscure prog rock and fusion bands, so you can post them throughout the game. Then players won't touch you with a 70-foot pole.
