Online Video Gaming

Hello, fellow gamers! This thread is a way for any number of us to arrange online video game interactions of any nature.

Who here has either an Xbox Live account or a Nintendo Network ID or both?

I have a Wii U, 3DS, and Xbox 360, so I'd be more than happy to play online with my fellow Syndicate members! :) And dominate, of course, depending on the game. :srsnod:

Bass and I already take advantage of Xbox Live to play Naruto matches online, but I'm itching to play Smash for the Wii U, so I'm holding out hope that someone has it (or will be getting it) and I just don't know yet.

I'm MJR Poltergeist on XBL.
Same thing on Steam but I think it has an underscore. All I can really run is Counter Strike but this is a laptop so it doesnt exactly excel at gaming. Plus my mouse broke. Shooters on track pad are a no go.

Getting a PS4 eventually.

What games do you play on xbl and do you play on the 360 or the xbox one?

Apollo square is fucking dead. My friend Subs uploaded one of our street fighter matches so I thought i'd share it since I talk about fighting games all the time. He's gonna upload more later. We were playing what's called "Omega Mode" where capcom just tried to break the game and give all the characters stupid shit. Sakura and Ryu didnt get anything too crazy though

I've tried online chess. I find "real-life" chess to be far more interesting.

Don't you have a dentist though?

At least you don't live in Siberia, where you surely wouldn't know any "real-life" people.

Anyone play old real time strategy games? I have a few older classics on Steam that I still play because I live in the past. It'd be fun to play with y'all if anyone has the games or acquires them. The two I play the most often are Age of Empires 2 (with all of the expansions) and Rise of Nations.

It doesn't have to be competitive (I suck anyway). Co-op versus AI teams is fun too.

This never happened, but we talked about it.

Just last night, we were discussing doing this. Stay tuned. :)

AOE2 multiplayer definitely used to be a pain in the ass. It's a lot simpler now through Steam.

I have it on Steam. I also have the original CDs. :slick:

I'd be willing to play if we could get a group together. Anybody interested?

I still play AoE. Forget AoE2 lol!!!

I never got Rise of Nations, always meant to though, but still not ruling it out in the future.

I rarely invest in new video games any more, because I have less and less time for them, and I still get enough enjoyment out of the classics I've already got.

EDIT: And I realise this is not actually online.

I do dabble in Hearthstone sometimes though, and occasionally, I'll break out my WoW account for a spin. But mostly I don't play things online.

There is a game coming out soon that I want to get which looks quite good, but I always forget what its called. It has a sprawling universe with billions of stars and you get to name stuff if you find it first.

I love the first Age of Empires, but I can't find it anywhere -- at least not a version playable on new systems.

ancient history > medieval history

I've been playing Hearthstone too! It's pretty addicting as far as mobile games go. What's your battle tag? (I'm Jersh#1300).

I've been playing since it came out, but the new expansion made the game a lot more fun. Especially Yogg-Saron. Praise Yogg.

Goldenaxe#1308, but I haven't been seen in the last month or two (I'm so busy).

Golden Axe was one of my favorite arcade games. Is that how you got your name?

Those magic jars...

Not in that it was one of my favourite arcade games. I had seen it around but it wasn't a deliberate nod in that sense. It was just a cool name, and when I took the handle (World of Warcraft) it suited the character I was making. I don't really know why it came to mind in that moment.

It is the origin of the 'golden' handle, though.

My first World of Warcraft character was named Nickelspoon. He was a Night Elf hunter who wore cloth armor and used fist weapons.
