I just recently got into hearthstone on my phone! My Shaman deck is pretty great, but not unbeatable. Still, it's a really fun strategic/luck-of-the-draw game!

I play Hearthstone but I'm Europe.

Also I wish it took a little less long to get the good cards without paying for them.

I start with golden so you should know it's me. Don't expect me to be on heaps or great at it or anything - I just play when I can for a bit of fun.

I'm not sure if steam summer sale sucks this year, or if I just already have everything worth buying. I'm not paying like 30$ for early access games ffs

So, I'm by no means a "gamer", and for a long time was super prejudiced against video game culture..... but the BF works in the industry, and so since meeting him I've been learning more and more about games and been exposed to more and more interesting non-mainstream stuff (true fakt: Did you know there's more to video games than Mario and Call of Duty? I did not! Now I do!), so we're playing through a bunch of super cool games (some new, some really old) that he's PROMISED that I'll like. So far, the results have been pretty good. I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at games that require any sort of dexterity and/or timing (watching me play Assassin's Creed: Unity was one of the most hilarious things the BF has experienced recently), but I am really starting to love odd, quirky, story-heavy, puzzle-heavy indie games. My favourites so far are:
Braid (I sucked at it, but found it fascinating.)
Broken Age (we finished Part 1, still playing through Part 2)
Fez (sooooooo weird amazing awesome)
The Talos Principle (reminds me of Myst which was my only previous instance of loving a game, but waaay less creepy)
Valiant Hearts (it has a dog!)
Stacking (such a neat mechanic!)

If you guys have suggestions for things you think I would like based on this list, let me know!!

Good thing I dont have kids lol.

A little over 1000 hours into SF4. Not counting Third Strike, and my brief stint with SFxTK. Or Marvel. Or SkullGirls.

I think I broke 350 in oblivion. A little over 200 for Skyrim. and then I've played hundreds of other games too. I'm sure somewhere with all my games ever combined I've got a solid 365 days of pure uninterrupted video gaming.

EDIT: Well when I put Street Fighter into perspective, I've been playing it for 5 years. Almost 2 months of time over a 5 year span aint too bad

I think that's the best way to play games. I wasn't able to play Fall Out 1 or 2 before I started Fall Out 3 so I can't wait to hear how they are. Have you ever played the elder Scrolls games?

I worked through a lot of Morrowind on X-Box but never finished it. Ghostgate.

I am in the middle of Oblivion on PC right now. I am Grand Champion of the arena. :noble: Finally getting on with the main question, haha. I'll buy Skyrim once I finish it all. I love taking my time with Bethesda games and just soaking it all in.

Its not always best to play a game in release order. Look at Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid.

Also I'm remember why I didn't like Fallout 3. Bethesda doesn't know how to make game that locks up for no reason. Almost done with New Vegas entirely because of it.

While re-organizing the basement last night, my wife discovered her old Nintendo Game Boy. She only had three games in her case- Tetris, Super Mario Land, and Pokemon Yellow (which she swears is her sister's game). Needless to say, re-organizing the basement got sidetracked in a big way. :P

Even though she only had a few games, my wife was luckier than I. Your's truly grew up without a Game Boy or any kind of gaming console. I did have Tiger Electronics handheld games, a Konami TMNT game, my dad's old Mattell Classic Football handheld, and an frustratingly difficult handheld football game by Coleco called Electronic Quarterback. We found all of those last night too.

She's a bad person for either lying about Pokemon Yellow not being hers, or stealing it from her sister. 0/10, would recommend divorce.

I had a console for NES games* when I was young and was totally addicted to it. It withstood countless technical resurrections, nine-lives style, courtesy of my dad being so awesome at fixing things. I didn't have the internet and game reviews back then, so I wasn't able to find out that most of the games I was playing were absolute crap and got attached to most of them: Alien3, Back to the Future 2 & 3, Bomber King, Batman (the cool one), Zen Intergalactic Ninja, Star Force, plus a lot of bootleg cartridges with up to 50 games on 'em.

*I wrote it as SEGA, but then checked images on internet and it was totally not a SEGA and now I can't remember at all what type it was fark

Later I got a GameBoy Advance with some games, but this time I had developed the sense of telling they're all a steaming pile of shit and it didn't take long to quit playing them.

One time I borrowed a neighbour friend's GameBoy to play sum Pokemanz (Red or Yellow or someth.), but started a new game and basically deleted his entire full PokeDex, including stuff he had to trade via other GBs. To this day, his "you fucked up my entire life" expression haunts me. :puppy:

Still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I caught me some fishes today

Growing up, I only had Nintendo consoles (no handhelds at all). I had a NES, I think we only had Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, and a SNES, for which we only had The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Donkey Kong Country. My dad threw out the NES because the power cord broke (still upset about that) and we got a new slim looking SNES at some point, and Donkey Kong Country 2. We still have our first N64 mostly in functioning condition. I didn't have many games until the N64, and even then not many, and I missed out on growing up with Pokemon games :(

Oh man, I had a console rifle for Duck Hunt, but it simply refused to work properly. I never played any Marios, Zeldas or Donkey Kongs. My NES also never evolved into a SNES, I simply grew out of it (he says, hiding the folder on his PC where he stored the roms to most of the games he ever played...).

Also, my dad >>>>> your dad, because if the power cord would have died (which must have happened at least 20 times), he would have done everything in his engineering power to fix it.

The Christmas before last, we bought Simon Sonic Colors. I didn't know much about it, but it looked cool (Is it just me, or do the backs of video game cases do a poor job describing what you actually do in games these days?). Knowing Simon liked Sonic the Hedgehog, I went ahead and bought it.

May I tell you that Sonic Colors is one of the coolest games for the Wii? It's visually stunning, incredibly fast, and it has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in recent games. While I have not played all Sonic titles, I have played many of them over the years. This one is my favorite.

Shame about Iwata. RIP indeed. Any speculations on whether this will significantly alter Nintendo's future path?

Wow, Epi, that's a ringing endorsement. Like Mr. X, I've not heard good things at all about modern Sonic games, with the same two exceptions. I actually have Generations and it's pretty good. Not VERY good, but enjoyable for sure. Always was a bit intrigued about Colors, but never played it.

Tomorrow on the other hand? Shiiiieeeeett. USF4 and Marvel finals on the same day? In there like swimwear baby.
