That sounds appropriate.

Ordinarily, I like to stay out of the thread unless someone addresses me or I need to address something. However, this is the first time I've ever offered a theme that was academic rather than pop-cultural. For that reason, I hope no one minds my (occasional) commentary and observations on culture or history. Feel free to disregard or read at your pleasure. :)

I'd study The Law to compare it with Babylon's own.

Not a fan of Daniel's book.

Intrigued by Barnabas' color & BTSC question and Paul's use of the term scum. Are you new to the site, brothers?

Yeah, I'm fairly new to the site and never came across these things. Then again, I'm probably spamming in the Speakeasy with my main right as we speak.

Patience is a virtue.

A curious but probably inconsequential trend in the voting caught my eye. For a while there, every time someone voted for The Law, the next person voted for The Apocalypse.

Several games around here start with a Day 0 to get people acclimated to the game, allow time to check-in, and so on. Day 0 polls sometimes give prizes/positive/negative effects to players. Sometimes they don't, and are just there to help set the tone.

Almost every time Day 1 follows after Day 0. We've had Night 0s before, but that is totally exceptional and up to the Host.

Voting on day 1 falls under regular mafia tactics, i.e. voting for the player you think is scum (bad). You will be able to vote only once in the poll (meaning votes aren't changeable). To sort of meet you halfway, I can tell you we do not collectively use the rvs tactic - we do our best to find a player we think might be scum (bad), based on the D0 interaction.

Linki @ Job: why do you ask for confirmation? are you also new to the site? :ponder:

Bottom line, if you find the setting of this game and how we usually play different from your site, maybe it would be best to take the opportunity of this Day 0 interval and ask the Host to clarify things.

Linki: Well, we have to start somewhere. Slips can sometimes happen very early on, but it depends, again, on your own definition of a slip up.

Random voting sucks. You're much more likely statistically to find a baddie Day 1 by actually making an effort than you are by randomly voting, particularly en masse.
