So .... Are people reading? Do we wait until everyone is finished to talk, or do we talk as we go along? I never did this how does it work?

I'm reading. I'm a quarter of the way through.

I have no idea either. This is my first book club.

I was really bummed when the main character died. What a gyp.

I'm really enjoying this book. About two thirds of the way through.

Book finished... I'm ready to talk. Has anyone else finished it yet?

I found it to be a really beautiful book, well-constructed.

I know I'm late to the party but I just downloaded it today, I'm going to try to catch up. I'm a fast reader when I enjoy the book so hopefully I enjoy this one.

Third of the way through. If I didn't need to clean and cook and spend some time with MP I'd probably finish tonight. All this to say, I'm enjoying it so far.

Just kidding, it's because he has been super busy these past couple weeks,so I doubt he even noticed it coming. He celebrates whenever I make it back onto his first page of members since he has them sorted by number of posts though, lol.

I finished! Clearly, it captured my interest.

Dudes, I was not aware of this when we were book voting, but the author of this book is an alum of the same dance conservatory program as me. Small world, eh?!



(Also I'm a shameful human being and haven't read it, mostly because I'm overwhelmed with reading a bunch of shit about theological controversies and devotional practice in the early 17th century.....because my life is the worst)

In case this is still going, perhaps y'all should read this book before considering the other ones?

I've read two of the books on the list now. Station Eleven and Oryx and Crake.

I've read zero books on Vompatti's list.

I'm still up for reading and talking if others are. I think what we need to do is pick a book, set a schedule like a chapter a week or whatever and then meet in a chatzy once a week to discuss.
