I'll let you know that a merchant is in your area, and you have that one turn to act. It isn't a regular thing.

Check "Livestock" to see crowding rules.

Can armed peasants (for example, halberdiers) still work crops/livestock etc?

Will Tom Brady be available for recruitment right away, or will we have to wait two or three seasons?

The army cannot work. Be careful with your allocations.

"New England" in this context represents a new England. If things work well, future "New" countries will be the maps.

"New Iceland" will be #2. :)

Also, how do you all feel about me ending the season once I have received all required PMs?

And I edited the map to correct the fact that Dunn was missing fields and a towncenter.

Another point to note is that you may send supplies (grain and livestock) from one county to another (but they must travel county to county just like an army). Crowns, resources (iron, stone, wood), and weapons become part of a general treasury that any county can access at any time.

Hope that makes sense.

Another change: Full rations do not have a potential health benefit.

Added a conscription chart, showing how raising an army will affect happiness.

Also, I adjusted the livestock birthrate to 1d4 births - 1d4-1 deaths. Simplified the rules for herd crowing and its affect on birth / death rates.

Also, I took out that 1d4 fields are barren at the start. No county has started with barren fields.

Does this mean PM you, you PM the next person. Or does it mean copy you in?

I'm okay with diplomacy and with ending the phase as soon as all PM's are in. How do we know who to ask for help if we don't know who has what?

Horses now cost 16 crowns (the cost of 4 bags of grain) and cannot be sold. You can spend 4 grain during conscription to train a mounted unit.

So, is the intent that we will have a 24 hour limit each season, but that each season will also end as soon as everyone has their actions in? So it could be as fast or as slow as we make it?

That, and as fast or as slow as I can do things. This all took three hours today, but that was a lot of me working out kinks and formatting. I'm sure I can whittle things down to a manageable time once I get used to it.

Are changes to a populations happiness persistent? Hypothetically, if I lower my rations to half for -2 and then later bring them up to full again for +1, is the net change in happiness -1? Or does the negative value just go away. And is it -2 happiness per season I stay at half rations, or just a flat -2.

The former.

You don't lose crowns you take through taxation in the next season, do you? :meany:

-2 each time.

Important: Please use the following methods for submitting PMs. I'm having five players submit PMs five different ways using multiple formats and it's making things a little harder than they should be.

If you are submitting a PM for a county, please submit the following form, with the subject in this format: "Season, Year." You may omit the questions in parentheses, as they are for your guidance only. A form you can copy and paste without the questions follows.

County Name:
Field Usage (What are you doing with each field? How many serfs are working livestock / crops/ fish?):
Industries (How many serfs are working?):
Tax Rate (What is your tax rate?):
Rations (How are your people eating?):
Weapons (Are you making any?):
Armies (Are you raising any?):
Castles / Harbors / Boats (Are you building any?):
Spies (Are you hiring any? Where are they spying?):
Merchant (If one is present in your county, are you buying / selling anything?):

++++

County Name:
Field Usage:
Industries:
Tax Rate:
Rations:
Weapons:
Armies:
Castles / Harbors / Boats:
Spies:
Merchant:

++++

If you think of anything else that should be on this, please let me know.

If you wish to send a message to someone, please use a separate PM per message and include this as the subject line: "Message to [PERSON]."

This will cut down on my time rummaging through my inbox.
