wow i just tried a mock draft and it was depressing. And since there are no 14 team mock drafts i did a 12 and took position 10 and still it was depressing. Anybody else been playing with the mock draft? It's good even to just see what the draft board is going to look like on draft day and practice using the features.

Rico, I have done very little prep because I'm also getting ready to go out of town. I think there are several of us in that boat.

I almost won my first time, and I only signed up to play because a group needed an even number, so I said, "What the hell, sure."

I changed the amount of teams that make the playoffs from 4 to 6, and the top two seeds get a Bye during the first round. This way everybody plays each other once during the regular season, then three weeks of playoffs.

So I've never played with an IR slot before. How does that work? What injury status is required for a player to be stashed there, and can that player be pulled back out the moment they're healthy?

The team has to put him on IR and then you get an extra bench slot. You can reinstate him immediately but you'll have to drop someone.

Seriously? Aw man. Daisy and I met a couple of folks for dinner last night, and I thought I'd be around, but then they invited us over to play games, so I couldn't say no to that. Especially since my manual draft policy was going to be "pick the person with the coolest sounding name". :P

TE's and QBs are pretty similar in that you can wait a few rounds to get either. For future reference :P

Unless you get first pick, then taking a top tier QB is ok. Not necessarily the best, but OK.

Eh, 0.5 per rec. That's not enough of an incentive to refrain from taking an elite RB.

I can imagine you going to check if we're PPR, finding out we are, smashing your keyboard around a bit, coming back, and trying to play it cool.

Nah- I looked over the score setup before signing up and didn't recall seeing anything that indicated PPR. It probably didn't register in my head because it's half a point.
