I feel for Matt F. I thought I read the rules too.

It seems to be working.

I derped the OT spectator posting rule before it was rescinded. Oh well, it should be a fun game.

Yay, it works! I added Golden manually, but I haven't added anyone else, so it must be working.

Lol, don't worry about that, I was just experimenting with the new rule. It just wouldn't be the same without off-topic deadie and non-player posting though. :noble:

Yeah... I should have known people would post off-topic anyway. Never trying that rule again unless I absolutely have to.

Yes, and being alive too, even with standard TS rules you were in.

In the game thread? Yes.
In here? Yes.

They should be anyway. If they aren't, re: here, let me know. Fancy new subforum and stuff, so permissions may not be perfect.

JJJ doesn't have 100 spectator posts by now. Looks scummy to me. :mafia:

Yeah, it's not like he was bulletproof to something. Standard, indeed. :P

This is better in a thread than in a Chatzy.

Obviously Metalmarsh should be lynched. It's day one.

I like FZ already, one good supatown post under her belt.

As a tone reader, I always have problems with her. She always sounds very take charge to me, which I tend to equate with baddieness, kind of like steering.

It is something I have to get past, a fault with me.

I don't know that I will play many of these, but it sure is fun to watch them.

Word. I so wish Talky Hed had one. :noble:

Also, I may or may not actually spectate - as in follow the game. For starters, what's a pet sounds? :ninja:

Also, lol, it seems one can't edit his posts in a spectating thread either.

OOO No lynch option a whole new reason to flame at people day 1.

Enrique post about no lynching I've got the feeling he is mafia.

I disagree with FZ as well, no lynches rarely help the civs.

I plan to vote for either FZ or Enrique :P

What is everyone's thoughts on No lynching day 1 :feb:

No lynches are almost never a pro-town decision.

I do kinda think it is an easy out and a way to avoid responsibility.

Re: [SPECTATOR] Pet Sounds Mafia

It assures the townies can learn as little as possible progressing from Day 1 to Day 2, and essentially gives the mafia a free kill to start the game. I always say that I'd rather lynch a townie than lynch nobody, and I'd even rather lynch me than lynch nobody.

The only exception I can think of that is consistently valid is a 3 vs 1 "MyLo" (mislynch and lose) scenario. Then the townies can coordinate a no lynch to move the game to a 2 vs 1 scenario the following day phase and improve their odds to pick the right person.

Good to hear. :)

I'm liking it too! On reflection, I really wish I had done it this way for Talking Heads, and I would have if I'd known I could have figured out these nasty permissions, but that's okay. Chatzy was a good experiment too. I'll definitely be holding spectator chats in all of my games going forward, and it will be via the thread like this.

No wonder we had trouble reading each other for so long. :ponder:

Ricochet wrote:Also, lol, it seems one can't edit his posts in a spectating thread either.
No shenanigans, mister. :mafia:

JaggedJimmyJay wrote:No lynches are almost never a pro-town decision.
Agreed, your logic stands up to my evaluation, and I had the experience seeing you all discuss the option in RYM games, so I wanted to include it here. All a "NO LYNCH" does is move Day 1 to Day 2 and give the mafia a "Night 0" kill of sorts to start the game, before any information can be disseminated into the thread. At least a civilian lynch provides information.

Since most of these players hadn't played with that option before, I wanted to see how it would go down. :feb:

Ricochet wrote:How fast do you want me to do reads on every player?
ASAP. :srsnod:

Mighty rich coming from the Host of a game decided on a coin toss, after a month and a half of gaming.

Well, it was a coin toss that the town had a 96% chance of winning. That's some coin!

That would defy the concept of a "coin toss".

Also, wrong.
MovingPictures07 wrote:
Russtifinko -- 1 (LOST) -- LYNCHED
JaggedJimmyJay -- 1 (WON)

JJJ's range was 11 (-5, 0, +5) and his vote ended up on Metalmarsh89. A coin flip decides the game, sparing JJJ from death.

Re: [SPECTATOR] Pet Sounds Mafia

Posted: Thu Nov 12, 2015 5:37 pm

Oh, sorry... you are right that the coin flip decided russti would die and the game would end.

I meant when MP said what would happen if the town had lost the coin toss. There would have been a 96% chance of MM surviving, and then he would have won the subsequent vote. So the game wasn't really decided on that one coin toss.

If Zebra is mafia then I think Enrique is town. Between the two I think Zebra is off to a more suspect start.

Dunno how you took so many votes brian. That lynch was bizarre. What, for pointing out that a no lynch isn't that civ-helpful?
