Nice voice, SoFi! Definitely expected the British accent... but nonetheless, cool stuff.
Would certainly like to hear you JC, whenever you do get it working!

Re: So guys. What do you sound like?
LOL, oh my days. I started a new job last week and was on the phones all day today. You are literally the 8th person to say that to me today. xD
I suppose it makes sense, because with where I live I'm supposed to sound a bit like a farmer. Strange really.
Thank you guys.
I think juliets said she needed to get a mic, but I shall pester her in IRC until she does!!!

Wow, some of you sound so different than what I was expecting, then others just what I thought. Perhaps I imagine a majority of you to be English sounding in my head? xD
But wowsers. Cool thread.
DP led me to this on IRC and subsequently led me to play with my settings and destroy my speakers, haha. So this is RE that. xD
Ambray! You sound so awesome!!!!! I shall heed your "Do not trust DP" warning to my grave!

Re: So guys. What do you sound like?
Thanks so much! In college, I volunteered at the local Radio Reading Service, where you read newspapers on the air to the blind and visually impaired. I did well at that, so they let me record a book to be aired (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). It took a year to record.bea wrote:goosey!!! You have a lovely voice! Luckily, I had success with that, so I got a job at the local NPR affiliate, announcing classical music and giving traffic and weather reports. Yay!
Thanks so much for the nice comments, bea!!

Also - you worked for NPR? Omg sooo jealous!!! I want to listen to you in the car every day!!! (Really - in the 2 years I've lived out here - my car radio has moved from NPR exactly 2 times. Both were because bad weather knocked out the NPR tower for a few hours.)

Re: So guys. What do you sound like?
I think you should just record whatever's happening. No one would even have to know you were recording.
It would be like radio verite.
It could be amazing.
Don't make a documentary. Be the documentary.
I wish I could speak Swedish because then I could immerse myself in Ingmar Bergman films without having to read subtitles. Delish.
Lizzy, I can really only do those accents when I'm sick or otherwise throat-pokey.

Vomp's a wombat, he's not a mouse.
Lizzy sounded cute with lovely hair.
