I'd almost completely forgotten about this thread! I love hearing all of your voices too! It also made me realize I haven't recorded mine yet at all. So here I am to fix that!

It's a long(ish) one, and only the first half of the introduction, but I'll put up the second half if I get some interest.

I don't get that line at all. However, I really like the song.

What's Arena Mafia?

It's not Arena Mafia. It's a completely different game we call "Arena". It's basically a free for all between all the players. Everybody has a hidden ability that gives them an edge in some way, and everybody tries to kill each other and be the last alive to win the game. Main mechanics are scavenging items, and attacking, with other things depending on the theme and whoever is running it.

The first two games we ran were based on the Hunger Games, to give you an idea. A later one was based on Ratchet and Clank: Deadlocked.

Thanks! I've been practicing for years. It took time to mostly get rid of my innate southern accent. Besides, I do voiceover work for a friend, and I need to be decent at that.

By doing voiceover work, mostly. I was quite terrible when I started. After many, many hours next to a microphone, I got a feel for my voice, how to act, etc. Some good things to do are to pay attention to voiceovers in cartoons, look into behind-the-scenes-work to see what it's like without the animation there, read books aloud, and listen to/critique your own work.

I'm by no means an expert, but I've been doing it for like 5 years. Enunciation and acting have improved.

Huh, that's interesting. Makes sense though; practice makes perfect I suppose. Cool stuff!

If you want to hear another sample for some reason, I'm pretty prevalent in the first two minutes of this out-of-context video near the end of a series. Warning: Copious amounts of cussing! Though none from me.

Shameless plug much? Maybe. Sorry about that.
