The way SVS and Typh are starting to talk about me, I don't think I'll be lasting all that long!

Jeez. Typh is literally the town version of Hitler. I -really- wish he had died N1. And since Sorsha is gone, and we didn't take advantage of that blocker claim (it would be bad timing anyway) he's all but cleared as good. Now people will take what he says as gospel.

Also, I know you're buckled down with time interviewing for your PhD (how's that going btw?) but ole Ghost Scotty would suggest leading charges in the next phase. Because once zebra dies, they're gonna know the last Mafia bussed Matt and probably me. So the less you look under the radar the better.

You overestimate how seriously anybody takes me. People expect me to be quiet and will assume I'm a bored civ, hopefully. I intend to push against Zebra and develop a suspicion of Wilgy. But mostly I will let the game progress and not get myself into too much trouble.

PhD search is in the 'wait for people to respond to interviews/applications' phase. AKA stress out and worry mode :P

Actually it might be worth missing a kill one night so that the final lynch isn't 1v1 and chosen at random. Not sure how it could work though.

Do you think it likely that down the line playing the bored civ card and not dying will make people wonder? I think having a little flak last phase was good for you overall, so you at least look a little dirty. The argument against why you aren't being killed by Mafia could be that you are a low-participating civ, and the Mafia might want you to stick around as well. So your strategy could be incredibly valid!

If Zebra isn't lynched today, Bullz, I think you need to kill her. She said something to the effect "maybe the last baddie is just being really good at avoiding suspicion", and right now, you and SVS are the only two really avoiding suspicion, so she's totally on to you.

While I do think that zebra is the only person bringing suspicion on zebra, I'm not so sure she's going I have much traction. Throwing your name around could just look like a desperation distraction move on her part and see what sticks. Plus having a little suspicion is not bad.

I was thinking maybe an Epi lynch. SVS is the easy one, but I think Epi's suspect list is better for us. Guess it depends on who gets lynched today.

If I miss a kill, it has to be tonight's. I'm legit not gonna be around on Thursday/potentially Friday because I have my graduation so that might be too obvious since I can't figure out where the next night falls. Do you guys support the idea of missing the kill tonight? If not I won't but we need to eventually get it so there's an odd number of players during the day or the best we can hope for is a tie.

Actually, if you miss the kill, I'm hoping people don't get too suspicious of you. Because really the only people absent will be you and SVS. And lots of people seem sure she is civ.

I'll still be around, it's just Thursday is my graduation and I won't be making time for mafia that day. Might miss some of Friday too depending on when I get back. I wouldn't actually miss a kill, I'd remember to do it from my phone.

We will see. I dunno if people might think I'm the most likely to use a tactic like deliberately not killing. I don't think I am, but people have got me lynched before by wrongly assuming they know how I'd act in a particular context. Wilgy promised to avoid the endgame coinflip so maybe that will make him look bad or maybe it'll make him look good. We'll have to do some serious thinking about who we want in the final three, I'm thinking one of SVS or Epi might have to die as both trust me and each other too much to count on their support of our win. This is still going to be tough.

Both could be dangerous together in the final 3. They are also the 2 that are most civ-looking. Objectively, SVS is the most civ looking, but both are smart and could turn the tide if left alive.

I think either one would stick with me in the final 3 if the other was Nutella or Wilgy. However if I leave them both alive I'm not sure they won't turn on me. Right now I think Epi is the better option to keep alive but that could change. I will see how day plays out to decide which to kill.

Also tonight's lack of kill will look bad for Nutella so I wonder if she'll be lynched next. Wilgy's comments earlier on could also put him in danger.

I'm sorry about the interview, Bullz. If it makes you feel any better, I was rejected a total of 41 times in 2015 (often by the same people) before getting the job I have now. Stay in it, bro!

Thanks man Like I said in the Arkham thread, I'm legit not that arsed about this one. It would've been nice, but the uni was meh and there are a whole bunch of reasons why I just wasn't that impressed. I'd have taken it if they'd said yes, but them saying no is very much their loss and not mine. One of my best friends is going to do her Masters at Sussex and I'm applying to join her there, and an opportunity in Dublin has just come up - I've always wanted to go to Ireland. I'm also considering waiting for the American and Canadian unis to start talking about scholarships for international PhD students since I want to go to both those places for an extended period of time.

I think keeping Epi around is dangerous. I would suggest killing him next, but your call!

Tbh, it really felt like him declaring to the thread that you and SVS were definitely not bad was him asking the last baddie to kill you both. And if you both don't die, I'm wondering if Epi would find that suspicious. In fact, everyone calling you their last lynch candidate should earn you a NK from the baddies so hopefully nobody mentions that. Ha!
