Finally, it's on :D

This is where any dead and non-players discuss the game. Dead players are encouraged not to share their role or any information they had outside of spoiler tags. Just be respectful and we'll be good :nicenod:

At the next opportunity, I hope to accuse you of doing something "backpedalingly", Epi.

Nice observation, Epi, I was just thinking that nutella seemed mafia based on that same post. She has a mafia tell, wherein she makes a series of statements that seem relatively or completely noncommittal, but then makes a firm stance, particularly early in the game. This is in contrast to when, as a civilian, she tends to get lynched for being overly noncommittal or wishy-washy; I'd say when she's mafia she tends to make more confident, firm decisions. She seems to be displaying that right now.

Does anyone think Scotty slipped? There's some hard reasoning going on by a few players that makes it look likely.

Could it also be a manufactured slip by a baddie to provide some cover for his teammates? Bussing a teammate Day 1 has happened before.

This is going to be an entertaining Day 1.

Scotty banters with his team a lot in BTSC. If he were to slip, it could have been any post with any manner of content, like responding to a teammate's question about what he had for supper the night before. That his very first post is on topic, about whom to kill (before Day 1 has even started, no less), and indirectly related to S~V~S is far too coincidental for me to believe it was any kind of mistake.

So do you think it was a joke or he, as a baddie, posted that to make it look like a slip?

I think it was an intentional joke, but I don't think it speaks to his alignment either way. He could still be bad who was just trying to be funny.

I'm with you all the way. I was just trying to come up with an explanation. There's no excuse for not double checking your vote before hitting submit.

As a host, I find myself rooting for everyone. You can't help it, even though you know everyone can't win. All you really want is people to play hard and try to win, and for each individual person I hope for them that they happen to use their ability perfectly. Great cases are part of that.

I start out neutral, but root for those that put forth effort.

I love it when things go well for a player. It's boring to just be making decisions with little effect on you, but once they actually catch on and develop an informed strategy, it's just really exciting to see it unfold and be counteracted by other players.

The poll yesterday was so tense, but in the end with the indie lynch it just gives the other factions more time to get their game going. Love the way it's building up. I hadn't hosted a non-LMS Mafia in like five years so this makes me really giddy :p

Rico you were wrong :P

But, damn I didn't get lynched early this game and instead I was NK the second night. My luck is just horribly.

LC, Zebra, and SVS I'm calling all three as mafia. Defiantly LC and Zebra.

So I'm basically your favourite? :noble:

Key opposing elements in Mafia for me are analysis and deception. More or less the civs have the former, the mafia must make use of the later. Without having hosted yet any game, I usually find myself interested in how the deception side of the game would turn out, aka would root for the mafia to pull a good win. This would probably wear off, as a Host, when I'd be committed to being impartial.

A third path would probably be rooting for each player to use their assigned roles to their best capabilities. Come to think of it, the thing I love most in Mafia are actually the roles. :noble: THM is for me an extraordinary example of this. Civs, mafia and rogue alike hardly made any major misstep with their roles.

This is where I sit. As a host, it sucks to see good roles ruined by either poor play or bad luck. You can't prevent bad luck, so I try not to get too emotionally attached to roles I create. Sometimes that can be difficult.

Also I'm hyped up on 3 liters of coffee after a long flight and I'm ready to roll. Is sky cat still playing?

And for the record, I did not intend to vote myself day 1. I was in a rush after getting my places call and I misclicked.
