Semi-retirement is acceptable. No one needs to retire and never come back, that's silly and a little too dramatic for my taste. I lost my job and moved back in 2012 and my life totally changed, and I had no room in it for Mafia... so I took a break. No big goodbyes, just "no time right now" and I was gone for a bit. Then, when my life had stabilized, I came back.

Never goodbye... just "smell ya later".

My three years off was great. I needed that time in my life to be about other things. But I'm also really pleased to be back amongst old friends and new friends.

That's what I did after RM 3, and it's basically what I'm doing now
