There is a reason for this; it's not a glitch or anything that needs fixing. Guests cannot view this game.

Why is this even necessary? Something game mechanic related or some site policy?

Don't worry, it's not a site policy change or anything like that. It's related specifically to this game. :mafia:

FYI

I have just now updated the player roster to include ISO links for every player who is posted so far. I'll try to keep on these as current as possible until everyone has checked in.

My girlfriend is a real authentic Canadian lady, and I'm visiting her for her birthday this week. She has been trying to drag me up there for a long time despite my very silly fear of heights. Yesterday that finally happened. I've had time to get caught up on everything this morning because, as an authentic lady, she spends over an hour getting herself ready in the morning.
Well welcome to Canada. You're near my neck of the woods.

I'll summarize:

Assumption: Don doesn't want to change votes often because that increases the probability of voting for the traitor.

Problem: Cops can use that fact to spot players who are hesitating to change votes. Therefore more likely to be Dons.

Solution 1: Everybody avoids changing votes unless necessary so we cover the Dons.

Solution 2: We all coordinate so we all vote for every single player one after another. Therefore both Traitors are triggered and the problem is eliminated.

You need all players to be involved in the voting cycle for it to draw out the traitor.
So... This won't work for day 1, at least, unless everyone's here.

I think we have spent too much time discussing those plans though. When we could have been accusing each other.

Here's what I propose:

Solution 2 is impractical and people don't want to do it. So let's forget about it.

Solution 1 has limited effect and is reliant on luck, but it could help. However, we won't get to a consensus any time soon. So we each decide whether it's necessary to change votes often or not according to our needs.

And move on to accusations.

With that, a few points.

- Enrique has posted nothing but smilies and refuses to answer anything. I don't think this is enough for a lynch, but I wish he started being more helpfun soon.

- Ika made a vote for Silverwolf just for the sake of "getting her to talk". Which is pro-active, but not really necessary, and reeks to me of an attempt to look like he is doing anything. Of course it's mostly paranoia, but I might as well point it out.

- Sloonei doesn't have the time to participate but he apparently has time to read the thread, think I'm suspicious and demand answers from me. I find that curious.

- Matt was way more active last game I played with him. he couldn't shut up. Now he only made one post, about how he intends to read Zebra. I know this is too soon for make such demands, but I miss active Matt.

Don't know if any of those are useful but we might as well discuss them. 28 hours to go, let's move guys.

I have a policy of reading through these threads without getting familiar with the setup/roles to look for any behaviour that's scummy in its own right.

And whilst I haven't read the setup I don't think this will change when I do; any plan that involves everyone voting a certain way isn't a good idea.

Enrique needs to stop being coy.

We aren't trying to draw out the traitors, rather see if there's an efficient way to deal with them.

I'm starting to think LC is right though, efficiency is damn near impossible unless we can all agree.

Dragon, why am I in specific civ? We are all discussing this yes?

Relying on organisation from this many players is not good. Also gives cops less of a stage to out themselves on.

Reading through the setup, though, I'm not sure what this weird voting has to do with catching traitors.

Ika voting for someone to 'get their attention' with no attempted communication in the thread beforehand is strange.

Ika, why didn't you just post first?

I don't want there to be a misinterpretation of what the promblem at hand is so here's the points.
1. Each team has a traitor.
2. traitors are a threat to the Dons if we don't play smart.
3. We should try to unlimit both the Dons while we can.

This is also implying that both of our teams are not initially out to off each other and would rather work to cop smash 1st.

Wait what is this traitor thing? I thought Wilgy was trying to say we shouldn't just RVS to help our Dom's. This makes sense, however any other forms of coordination doesn't. So yes lets not just vote but, why try to draw out the traitors? While we aren't all on the same team the cops are still the top priority traitor hunting will take away from that.

I don't find Ike's vote that strange, it is a fairly common thing in some places.

Does the traitor betray if the vote is PLACED or if the vote GOES THROUGH?

Would I do so know? No, since that isn't done here. Have I done so in the past? Yes. It depends on the site and whether that is standard practice or not. It is done alot less here do to not being able to change your vote.

So how does that make you see ika?

Though keep in mind votes are changeable here; You sound like you're coming at this from where I am and yet you're playing down how indicative of scuminess (read: badness) it could be.

Yes they are changeable, but since mostly here they aren't I've found people less likely to switch votes even when they can. However, I believe Ika came from a culture of voting alot, so I don't find it scummy. I'm null on Ika I don't think it is an alignment thing.

Reading back, I'll also extend that question to Golden, who posted a lot about the setup/plan but not much about players which research shows is a tad out of character.

Is Enrique normally like this?

Why shouldn't we lynch you for not explaining your terrible vote?

This just started yesterday :(

Thanks for missing active Matt, though, Dragon! I don't think I've ever heard those words before. XD

Ika, why didn't you just post first?
Cus the order wouldn't matter would it? I mean if I posted to her first then voted does that make a diffence?

I'm mobile posting so if it doesn't make sense let me know

@luffy: we don't talk about me anymore. But it has been a trait of ours to vote each other and sort each other out. So far I have been able to read her accurately every game in the first few oages

@ika

If you said anything before you were called out on it, whether you voted first or after, I wouldn't mind as much, but this way it looks like that's just the excuse you came up with for that vote. Get where I'm coming from?

Looks like we have some gen-u-wine suspicion goin' on here! Zebra, baddie or Civvie, what's your history of savage attacks on Day 1 actions? :eye:
Don't know, don't care. In any case, that's not a savage attack.
