Well it would have been nice if you'd have been a little less vague in your verbiage then. I got no beef with you, cat. Does anything I've written so far strike a chord with you at all?

So Billie was killed leaving, Bela Fleck all alone. I can think of two reasons for this.
1. Bela is mafia and killed Billie before she could catch on
2. Mafia killed Billie in an attempt to bandwagon and lynch Bela.

I think two is more likely, I'd rather see Hiromi Uehara dead today, she voted on my wagon day 1 and then voted for Bela day 2, that is twice she was on the opposing counterwagon to a mafia member.

Not seeing the reasoning for a Coleman lynch, I doubt if he was mafia he'd have voted for no lynch option.

I can kind off see the point on Potter, but would rather lynch Uehara today.
I'm not liking Davis, he still has Bela at the bottom of his list, and now Billie his main defender is dead? Nah if Uehara doesn't flip mafia, I'd say we should take a good long look at Davis.

We'll need a few people to help lynch Uehara, seeing as she and I are the last two hold-outs. Fleck said he could go that way but that wouldn't be enough.

Do you really think that two baddies would both take part in a late-day last-ditch hail mary train on another player like that though?

I think if there are only three mafia members, and the player being lynched is the godfather then yes.
Especially since in most cases if you survive day 1 as mafia you're good for a few phases. If Uehara isn't mafia then someone on another wagon is. I doubt it would be the no lyncher since that doesn't help your team in anyway. I believe Bill Dixon was the other wagon, he might be mafia. But, I wouldn't bet my Pulitzer prize on that.

We've only got a little over four hours to vote. Will you be back in time or are you thinking in terms of a Day 4?

I'm sorry for being MIA everyone. I decided to take a little breather after Day 2.

Without reading them, I can guess a couple reasons Ornette is getting votes today. He soft-defended Buble on Day 1. He also voted for Tito despite never mentioning an intention or reason

I get the suspicion of Ornette, and would vote for him

I am still a little suspicious of Bela, because of who was killed last night. But I also understand that it is a big fat bowl of WIFOM, so I won't act on that.

Try this.
Vince Guaraldi wrote:Finally Miss Uehara. Her Day 1 vote gave life to a Col-train and allowed Puente to try to save Buble. Uehara hasn't been much of a talker, at least not with words that matter. Perhaps she's flying under the radar. But that Day 1 vote belies all the under the radar squawking. Navarro talked a good game against Coltrane, so you could argue that it makes sense for her to cast a vote for a good argument- but again, like Dixon, it'd be a vote for someone else's ideas and not her own. The part that bugs me is this- knowing that Puente was bad, would two baddies really go for a back-to-back save like that? And if so, why not just hop on our weak but curious Dixon train? Her Day 2 vote is possibly sketchy too. She kept Fleck out there in the lead while minds were changing. Maybe she thought she could use other people's ideas for a second day and railroad a civvie with people out for his blood.

To be honest I would be voting for no lynch if I didn't have four votes on myself. Hiromi is a possible baddie, but not a confirmed one. I think it would be wise if we all thought this through and voted for no lynch. Remember, a mislynch is no less likely than the baddies accidentally killing one of their own during the night phase!

So Coltrane is voting for Hiromi because he doesn't believe in WIFOM, Coleman is voting for Hiromi to save his ass, and Fleck is voting for Hiromi because he wouldn't dare vote for the same player I'm voting for. What a sorry excuse for a counterwagon.

[Rest / Night 3] Esbjörn Svensson Trio Mafia

Fletcher had a hard time pulling the nine remaining bandmates together for another take, but that did by no means imply that he wouldn't hammer away, resorting to the wildest appellatives ever heard by the human ear - stuff that rhymed with "mitch York-wasabe yoshi-burper peak" (directed at "Maroni") or "plucking pimp-nicked dour-vote flexible-tempo beepsheep" (at "Beavis") or "bucking esthetic tansy-sass fruit duck" (at "Dingus") or "matchless limey twining Heidi buck" (at "Beck") - and yelling at everyone to get in their seats and freaking play their part. During the break he brought in a temp core to replace Tito on the drums, a squeaker named Neyman, who looked like he hadn't slept for two days, with his hands dripping red from blisters, yet appearing to want to make an impression nevertheless. Regarding the lack of a vocal component, now that even Miss Holiday had been silenced, Fletcher just said 'Fuck it', adding that the vocals were never the essence of his ensemble and anyone can moan and groan in verse and pitch after a bottle of scotch.

Fleck, of course, had the biggest issues going on with this, his love interest gone at the hands of a cruel torturer, his hatred towards Mingus now boundless, next to whom ironically he was forced to remain seated in formation, his passion and mood for music withered away.
'Mingus', he kept saying. 'Mingus. It's Mingus. It was Mingus. Guys, Mingus did it. Mingus is the last one! Lynch Mingus!'
Nobody really knew whether to treat this as pure obsession, bloodthirst or genuine mistrust. Or both. Meanwhile, Mingus was just standing there, smirking and playing his fingers on the bass, rather like polishing a weapon.
'Why won't Mingus answer me?' Fleck spewed. 'Mingus hasn't said a word, after all that has happened! Mingus!!'
'Mingus is tired of listening to you, fool', Mingus inelegantly rebutted. 'Mingus would rather be listening to Mingus. Mmm.'
'I'm rooting for the Mingus', Coleman approved.
'What for?!’ Fleck wanted to know.
'Mingus is a confirmed jazz player', Coleman offered the answer.
'...Aren't we all?' Coltrane raised his eyebrow.
'I don't know kay', Coleman shrugged.
'If Mingus is Mingus, then who is Mingus?'
'Did you get a concussion brah?' Dixon berated Fleck.
'Was it from... whiplash?' said Neyman and then badumtish'd his own joke. Surprisingly, Fletcher chuckled a bit.
'I wouldn't be surprised if Billie Holiday is bad, tobehonest', Coleman returned to the subject.
'She's... dead, man', Potter stated the obvious.
'Killed!' howled Fleck. 'By Mingus!'
'In that case I have no idea', Coleman shrugged again.
'You're a strange cat, aren't you?' Vince wondered, playing with his whiskers again.
'I like to rather think of myself embodied as a w-'
'Ok, you dockmoppers', Fletcher interrupted this entire babble. 'Let's get back to it. 'Caravan!''

The shape of the take that followed didn't ultimately favor the oddball saxophonist much. The music resonated with swagger, dexterity and forwardness, but at the same time it seemed plagued by some hissing noises, syncope and distorted, dissonant scales. And while Fletcher seemed focused to give Neyman the usual, never satisfied stink eye, the other musicians found Ornette to be very likely the culprit, given his exhibitionist moves and blown up sounds. At the first fist clench on Fletcher's part, Miles was the first to break it down:
'Alright, it has to be Cole over here, he's a complete lunatic and he's clearly messing with our jazz for some time now.'
'Jazz is meant to be messed with, if you know what I mean', disapproved Coleman.
'Oh you can mess with it, alright, God well knows I've tried myself to reach out with the expressions as far as my inner voice would guide my thoughts throughout the hazy ether of sound and style', commented Dixon, 'but that don't mean you can mess with us like that, brother. We should just work together and achieve sum ol' fashioned, funky clean harmony, to reach our goals and be done and free with it, know what I mean?'
'Free is how I do it', said Coleman, 'otherwise it would be too expensive.'
'What are we supposed to do, then, to nail this session once and for all?' asked Vince.
'Something Else!!!!’ gleefully shouted Coleman.
'Are you trying to get yourself lynched or what in darnation are you trying to pull?’ Mingus scowled him.
'I'm pulling a book from my pocket, kay'. And indeed he did, opening the book up to a certain page and starting to read from it:

Jazz turns the user into a plant. Plants do not feel pain since pain has no function in a stationary organism. Jazz is a painkiller. A plant has no libido in the human or animal sense. Jazz replaces the sex drive. Seeding is the sex of the plant and the function of opium is to delay seeding. Perhaps the intense discomfort of withdrawal is the transition from plant back to animal, from a painless, sexless, timeless state back to sex and pain and time, from death back to life.

'Would you believe me that I love Burroughs in an erotic way?' Coleman asked the others as he tossed the book on the floor.
'What are you on, man?' Potter frowned.
'Tenor', said Coleman.
'Ugh', Miles rolled his eyes.
'What?! Since when, I thought I was on tenor', Potter acted startled.
'I got bored of playing alto, kay', Coleman replied casually.
'Ok, that's it', said Miles as he stood up. 'Off with you.'
'Just say who to get rid off, man', Fleck exasperatedly intervened.
'What if we don't get rid of anyone and the bad players will just adjust in time or free themselves in the process?' Coleman suggested.
'Lynch! Lynch! Lynch!' Davis and Mingus chanted.
'Mingus! Mingus! Mingus!' Fleck yelled.
'Oh well, I guess I'm my own enemy', Coleman sighed.

Some of the swing ropes from the previous murder were still dangling up from the ceiling, above the stage, so the players decided they could well make use of them.

17.IX.2008

"Now, despite the tone set by this leviathan-shaped epic composition, with its high octane, wildly eliberated, divergent, tempestuous, menacing and bewildering stylisation, Leucocyte is no opaque ouevre, without its diverse respites and change of tones. The piece Jazz, that follows Premonition, quickly proves that, as from the whirlpool of static noise and ash-like sound structures arises a reminiscing and replenishing old-style, fast-paced nu-bop number, so typical of E.S.T. throughout the ages. There's nothing but joyous stamina and swift brilliancy to it. Even the following piece called Still, despite starting off from another mould of murky, grey-area sounds, settles into the slow, sailing rhythm of a ballad, the real surprise being how it gorgeously finds resollution in brighter, major-key vibrations. It's stuff like this, in between the highly eclectic and engaging Premonition and Leucycote suites, that reflects with nostalgia E.S.T.'s vintage trademarks..."

Ornette Coleman has been kicked out of the band. His real name was Vompatti.

His role song was 'Jazz' off Leucocyte and he was the civilian cop.

Fuck. I guess Vomps isn't the kind of guy who defends himself.

Free jazz is too expensive in Finland.

Are you willing to listen now? After I was already saying he was cop? And that he was town?

And that Mingus needs to be quiet now if he's town
