I had my suspicions but when I saw that line it confirmed it. Was actually real surprised you let that one through Rico. I got a good laugh out of it.

The sunset-sax-on-a-boat guy is still doing it every day.
Dunno what you mean, you had spot on reads, for someone playing, I assume, his first online game? Sure, you have more of a "drop by on occasion" and "throw suspicion to see what sticks" kind of gameplay, but in this case it worked, so kudos to you.
See you in another game!
I was desperately searching for the video on YouTube when I manufactured that post and then I realized, d'oh, you filmed that, right? Completely forgot the town, though, so I invented some Mediterranean bogus stuff ... is it in your hometown?

Yeah, gotta work on that, so far I got strongly influenced to craft flavour from the gameplay or to toy around with references and hints.
I doubt it contributed to anyone thinking Vom-goddamn-patti drew cop, though. Oh how I looked for my jaw back when I randomized the roles.
== sig (Coltrane) reads all four Buble voters civilians [correct] and last voter to wagon him as mafia [correct]; also calls Bill mafia, which is also correct, but then sort of backtracks...?
Yeah I did backtrack.
After Sorsha flipped I was thinking we had four mafia members. With MM and Gleam as the third and fourth members.
Nice roleplaying Gleam, that actually made me hesitant to pursue you.
Also welcome Polo! Hope to play another game with you soon.
And I think I deleted the Pm's so I guess I cleared the account?

Also, Hiromi's account has been cleaned out.
Did you pick up on Coleman being Voopy/cop and started mirroring him to smokescreen others or just for the lulz?
No I did not. It was entirely coincidental that Vompatti was the cop and I mimicked him while pretending to be the cop.
But I was trying to protect him and call out confirmed civs on a daily basis. I believe I started doing that before he did.
Yep, that's what I picked up on.

Please send me via PM your nomination for the E.S.T. Mafia MVP. You have 24 hours, but I would suggest you do it, like, right now... (people will usually tend to forget, otherwise).
There's also been some real quality roleplaying, so please nominate a player for the E.S.T. Best Roleplay award, as well!
(I don't remember, can non-players vote as well...?)
You peeps already forgot, didn't ya?

Oh sorry, I meant host diary. That was entertaining. I'll do the above ASAP.
Cool game, I was Miles Davis, I enjoyed ika calling me out as a2thezebra and a little bit Epi. When Zebra sockslipped, I had to vote for Chris Potter in order to maintain the illusion.
Apart from suspecting Bill Dixon quite a bit, I wasn't that integral to the win. No MVP here, that's for sure.
Why didn't people suspect me? That was nice.
Miles Davis sockpuppet account is cleaned and reset.
ok so onn the game as a whole, i think scums got shot hard due to gf flip day 1
so on how everyone played i do have feedback
scotty - sucks you got lynched day 1, IMO when you kinda joked the votes off and just OMGUS me it pretty mcuh made me convinced you were scum. i would like to see more next time
sorsha - i dunno if you jsut are inactive as scum or not but that is what kinda killed ya out
gleam - good show overall, i do have to say your rping for the entire game is kinda what pinged me on and off. you had the odds stacked agaisn tyou
silver - ok, i have to say great job on obtowning yourself first off, next off i dunnow how you picked corrctl yout of the 2 lurkers but amazing you got 2 out of 3 pegged and were homing on on the 3rd, MVP
sig - amaizng job, you did great peggint last
vompi - next time plz claim cop, it would fo saved you and made the game broken
long con - i dont recall much form you, i think you were more of a background player to me
zebra - ok zebra...... where do i beign? i think your hard tunnels are a good trait in general, but you do need to learn one thing that too me a long time: reevaluate. when you end up getting a lot of epopel worng its maybe a chance to take a step back and readjust, how i play and about ym meta is how i play regardless and i would hope you could undersatnd that more later.
metalmarsh - shoot me a pm if you would liemt o learn more about how i found cop i think you did good and i had mild ideas of you being doc at one point
if i missed anyone who wants it let me know i kinda did this off top of head
Well shit. This game started terribly for us and didn't last long. Gleam, I'm sorry for my lack of Intel in the thread. I feel kinda jipped that I was lynched D1 regardless of my attitude, despite what ika says. I still don't know why he voted for me originally, but whatever.
Good goin civs. Thanks for the game Rico- I look forward to more of your hosting!

i always random vote at the start of day 1, when you made your "joking" post about the votes i turned it into a serious one
Fantastic game, impressive posts, great hosting Rico! I hope to play a game where you are hosting and the subject is one that I can relate to more, because your passion and dedication and amazing posts were more than awesome!
And I agree that Scotty's reaction to the votes cemented my decision to vote for Bublé on day 1
Well looking back to you, i can see you were vocal and poking people, i did notice you forgot the cop over so i think yous hould try to be more alert on that front.
i am glad the reaciotn of scotty is what i saw too would liek to see more of you in games

Sorsha went dark since early Night 1. I doubt there's anything to project about her baddie game in this regard, in fact I was amused when Miles/LC post-flip said "ohhh so Sorsha is more inactive when bad, note to self".
Also, is there an art to finding a cop wombat who is blatantly infodumping in the thread? I think Silver noticed the first and readjusted her game accordingly.
Finally, I have a question: why was your impression, after Night 3 kill, that scum is not paying attention? Gleam actually killed one of the two cop-confirmed players. What should have he done instead?
Long Con wrote:Fantastic game, impressive posts, great hosting Rico! I hope to play a game where you are hosting and the subject is one that I can relate to more, because your passion and dedication and amazing posts were more than awesome!
Learned from studying the masters.
Triskaidekaphobia (which I hope will take place no sooner than May, cause I really need a break until then) will have far less Host Post flourish, although I'm still planning some interesting hidden details for it. My storytelling caprice could most likely return for Godspeed You Black Emperor, where it might get really dark and s̻͈ͨ̃̿͊̓̚p̲̬͚ȯ̪̆̅͟o̳̞̹k̭̜͈̰̈́̒ͬ̇ͬͅy̺̥̰̩̱͜ͅ ͂
Anyway, I enjoyed your mild scummy-looking gameplay and your banter went along well with often making Miles in the story a bit of a douche. I think you acknowledged in the thread, after Day 2, that you were just poking and keeping pressure on ika, otherwise I would have wondered a bit more why you really took the extreme approach in the "<godfather being bussed> is a valid theory as any and we need to keep it in mind, at least" matter.
Oh, I also really liked how you reasoned each of the doc choices in your PMs, even if you never managed to protect a victim.
Sorry to my team, other players and host for bailing on this game. It's not something I usually do. It was just a perfect storm of being too busy irl and being in too many games. I had the sockpuppet account for this game, one for the Turf Wars game and my regular account for the Spirited Away game.

I'm not, along with what I said above I kinda screwed myself with my day one vote trying to save Buble/Scotty. I'm going to buss baddie teammates so hard from now on

Well, i felt like knowing who the cop was that scums werent paying full attention, i would of killed someone more vocal in the game. expicaly when that case was built
FMPOV knowing mingus was town confirmed i would of gone for tht
I found the cop cuz I'm used to PR power role hunting from playing scum so many times on ms. His first post after night was so and so is confirmed civ. That's usually a cop claim in most games which is why I took my vote off the person who was confirmed. This isn't perfect but I've had good success finding power roles and killing them as scum in the past.

Mingus wasn't town confirmed, Voopy only got Vince as his D0 peek (I randomized among vanilla civs), then checked Coltrane and Holiday (who concomittantly died). It was fun to watch how everyone took from his posts whatever he thought was legit. Vompatti is such a chaos maker.

I am glad you went with the socks, it added a certain ambiance to the subject matter that just would not have worked as well with everyday personas.
Since submitting it, my game evolved from strictly song-centric Host Posts (the way MP did Pet Sounds) aka diary entries to the concept of players (real personas) gathering up to fictionally talk about their favorite jazz (aka player-influenced Host Post flavour) to suddenly expanding it to encompass other jazz to omg why not jazz sockies! to allowing players to choose their own socks to this game's final form, having a bit of everything, really.
Plus, I wanted socks, because I think it's pretty much the only game mechanic that hasn't been experimented with in Heists, after Zodiac.
This was an incredibly awesome game to MoD, you all made it pretty easy on me overall. So thanks for that!
Rico, it was a pleasure being the MoD for your first game ever, and I can say with confidence that everyone should look forward to future games that you host, because this was incredibly well done.
Also, congratulations to the civilians! You all really wiped up the mafia, didn't you?
I want to specifically shout out to gleam though; you've evolved your game so much in Turf Wars and here, and I was pleasantly surprised to see you starting to come into your own. You really just had too much of an uphill battle. Don't let it get you down, I've been there many times, especially since I've randomed mafia ridiculously often. You definitely gave it a good try after you and your teammates had some pretty bad starting luck.
Lastly (sorry for multiple posts), you all should be able to view the mafia BTSC chat thread now. Sorry for the delay there! It's been a hectic 24 hours.
Silverwolf wrote:Well, Looks like I'm gonna have the same luck on this site as I did on ms. Scum killing me off at night.
Just wait till i roll doc, i will heal camp you all day
Good luck with that, most games around here employ a no double targeting rule, so you'll have to decide whether you want to camp on odd or even nights.
Also, I was ready to use this hilarious clip (it's from Watts on Eurosport, which mashes up funny clips or, well, accidents and strange stuff in sports with music) on an occasion in which someone would have made an absolute blunder of a phase or action, but ultimately nothing seemed fitting.

A kind reminder of the significant post-game actions, for those who haven't done it yet.

For the latter, I would very much like to announce the results this evening (in, say, 4 or 5 hours from now). It's a tight race, so far, with just 5 players having voted, so send your nomination if you want to contribute to who gets to play in the All-Star league.
