Using the theme to crack a joke and make an entrance, meme-ing using Trump quotes feels unoriginal. It's actually something I'd be pinged about usually, like it's more prevalent for scum to break the ice that way. It's a nice way to sling some shits, and get stuff going.

Mostly that it's often a wolf's first attempt at engaging in game-relevant talk. When I'm wolfing I feel pressure to say something meaty right away, and pretending to read into a fluff post is an easy way to get a foot in.

What sort of things do you look for and how do you develop your reads?

Tonal impurities, inconsistencies throughout a person's set of posts, reads whose justifications seem to fail inspection, potential team associations, meta if I have it.

A lot of the time I'm just looking for one post that seems odd and I'll build an entire case around it. When someone's wolfing, often one post they make gives them away entirely, and I can spend two+ rounds quoting that one post if I think it's strong enough reason to lynch them. If a post pings me, I'll ISO the player and see how many of their posts fit in the world where they're scum.

Where does nova's entrace fit in this structure?

I'm pretty null on nova's entrance. I just thought the response to your post was a little odd, but I'm not taking it and running to the bank or anything.

Juliets seems towny by my meta of her. She doesn't use contractions and writes pretty bluntly sometimes, so she always looks kinda sketch, but I'd lean town on her right now owing to the complicatedness of her Sloonei read- I think she's being genuine when she says she doesn't know how to read him well and is concerned with being fooled again. She says she's reading him more as town now, but it's an early back-and-forth type read and those tend to come from townies more often than wolves; wolves are more inclined to stick with an early read throughout a greater duration of the round and don't flip-flop so soon. I think she's showing true uncertainty.

Regarding Sloonei, I can see him as a wolf personally. His questions don't seem to go anywhere and he's forcing the humour a bit.

I think I've played one game with scum!mac but don't recall how he played in it. But he's been a much more vocal force early on in town games I've played with him.

Scirrus is probably my strongest town-lean atm. He has lucid and free-flowing posts and a lot of them.

my meta of jack is that he doesn't lowpost. could anyone with more experience with him chime in?

Sloonei is an excellent civilian. He's a thread leader and a facilitator in the sense that he welcomes and explores hot takes. He also bounces around with his votes to see what comes of it.

He struggles to maintain a civilian facade as mafia. That isn't to say he can't do it. He can.

In most of the games I have played with him he is not a low poster though I seem to recall sometimes he doesn't go all out right at the beginning. I would not say high posting is AI for him - my memory is he was posting up a storm to keep me from suspecting him leading up to our F3 with Lexi in Inception where he was bad and he also posts a lot as town.
Not excusing him, but there's a world where jack hosting the jack of jacking off has him jacking around too much to post today and there's also the jack attack that happened in corrupt that may have jack jack back from the lines of attack that we normally see as whack.

Do 3Ps on syndicate usually win with one or the other team? If he has the potential to be a solo winner I don't see why we wouldn't nick him right away.

If that's true, then why would anybody ever claim to be an independent?

I mean, we don't always lynch them, but 3P claims are treated as suspicious from the get-go and will /usually/ result in a lynch. We very seldom have 3Ps anyways.

Most of the time what happens when they claim is that a newish/newbie player is under pressure of being lynched and claims to try to stave off elimination. Then we lynch them anyway.

You mean "Why would I desire to prevent Dizzy from winning?" I'm assuming if we attempt to lynch Dizzy if they are 3p they can no longer win. If they can win along side civ, why would I not preffer that?

This is in contrast to what would be clearing all variables. Does the conflict make sense now?

Also this is fair. I'm believing that you are genuine here but incorrect.

The issue in not lynching Dys is that we don't know what his wincon is. That's the problem whenever someone claims 3P: they can lie about what they need to do to win, and so I don't think it's intelligent to wait until endgame to sort them. He might only be able to solo-victory.

imo scum would want 3ps gone even more than town rn, esp since dys has 3 vests

My entire thing with Dizzer is that he could be lying about his wincon and how much of a threat he poses to the town. Him saying he doesn't even understand his own wincon fully doesn't help; who doesn't 'get' their own wincon?

Claiming 3P day one is sometimes an excellent way of simply surviving. I don't see why he should be given trust for admitting he's not within the town faction.

I'm going to be reading up in about an hour and a half after I have supper. I've had a bad day--Daniel Powter is singing about it--and I'm a bit bogged down by some work I've been doing.

I have noticed the votes on me and to respond to [mention]M Plus 7[/mention] about the Scirrus read: I don't remember when I made my core post, but I ISOd Scirrus a bit in the interim and found them towny.

Lots to say, thoughts don't seem fabricated, thought I'd bump them up. Don't know what else to say on that and it makes me feel like MP is really digging when he brings it up.

There was just an argument in the household and my Dad drove off somewhere without telling anyone where he was going. I'm not sure how active I'll be tonight- can either go the way of me wanting a distraction and posting a bunch or pretend cuddling the former partner I miss all night.
