NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: Tue Feb 25, 2020 9:29 pm Also jay the fact that I’m playing at all during D0 despite having stated I wouldn’t be (we see how long that lasted!), should be a fairly good indicator I’m town. I don’t feel the need to get sucked in quite as much as scum.
In inception you pretty much held back until day 2
I'll talk more about this later, but nanook is playing within his scum meta in everything from tone to posting style.

I literally just played two games with him where he was mafia, one I was indy so didn't care much to hunt and one where I was civ and did. Both times I knew he was mafia, before any information or anything game one i was brushed off and mafia won.

Game 2 it was a mix Epi jumped on and we won the game.

Now having said that during Circut, I believe, before I seriously called him out I skimmed over inception and just did again his playstyle and tone doesn't match inception but matches the other two.

He's being overly aggressive and defensive and honestly way to aggressive for this phase in the game, for the level of commitment I've put into going after him, and for the amount of votes/attention he's getting from everybody.

Only reason he's doing this? Since I again successfully called his alignment and he's pissed off.

If not then he's just a hella toxic player and honestly should be lynched anyway. Though given his last few games I doubt that's the case.
sig wrote: Tue Feb 25, 2020 9:51 pm Chiefly and I'll pull up quotes from this and other games later either tomorrow or Thursday is that as mafia he gets hella defensive to early and super sarcastic/trolling. Mainly over minor pokes. Like he did here.

He's also in both games, where he was scum, made comments about being mafia/mafia chat. Now this alone isn't the closing. People do that all the time but his reaction to whenever I've brought it up has been exactly the same every game. Read through them if you don't believe me.

@Sloonei @Jackofhearts2005 you two were his teammates in Circuits care to weight in?

You said "baddie" earlier. That is the term the founders of this forum used (and some still do) but I have not heard it much outside of us. I am curious to know where you played as well.
I just tend to start adopting a forum's local slang a bit. I say 'Indy' when playing here too, which I've not seen used anywhere else.

The one I can't accept is 'civilian', which is just such a mouthful when you could just say 'town' or 'vill'.

(Having skimmed through the discussion of my usage of this term that followed, it was pointless and I'm going to ignore it.)
I tend to believe this because civvie or civ is right there

So like follow me if you want to lynch a wolf or don’t want to look terrible. That should cover all possible scenarios.

If we’re gonna lash out at every scum read on us we might as well not even play the game.

Master Radishes wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 4:11 am On phone at work so not here to have an extended convo. But, nutella, I was ISOing a few people and Mac's reads stood out to me. I checked Ted and sloonei, then quickly glanced at TSP, Dom, and Mac as I looked for people flying under the radar (except dom who was due to dizzys vote). I also glanced at speedchuk and sabie but by that point felt my approach wasn't worthwhile and didn't post anything about it.

What people are interpreting as flailing is just me knowing no one and nothing and looking for angles people haven't considered yet. I had nothing to add to the nutella/Jack debate and didn't feel inclined to reread it all. (I also shaded nute way before anyone else did, and expressed my read of Jack from limited meta.)

I've said it before, I hate D1s. It's not the first time I've ended up being a D1 wagon for not appearing helpful enough.
I have no idea what the enlarged text means.

I’m happy with the result but annoyed the day ended early because my theory will have to wait.

I don’t trust G-Man or tedexter. Ted still hasn’t answered my question. He made a point of people @ ing him to get his attention. I specifically did that and didn’t see an answer.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I’ll be absent most of now.

I'm kind of puzzled by this analysis tbh. If you are town, which you would assume that you are, then I don't see why scum would care either way whether you or Nut was lynched. In fact, I would think scum would either a) vote off wagons to not make waves and not make themselves targets (which they could be no matter what the lynched players flip) or b) vote because they sincerely believe the player to be scum. I don't know why scum would need to look for especially "opportunistic" reasons to vote someone. I mean, sure, anyone but their team. But if you are town, then why care among the two of you?
I mean, sure, it's an unusual wagon to analyse, as in a 'real' round we might have seen some last minute vote-switching and all that.

But the general mentality of a scum wanting to 'blend in' remains, and so scum would try to nudge a wagon from a non-teammate along if the opportunity presented itself, especially a player as respected as nutella. Also, since nutella's sprung up relatively quickly, that likely would have pushed a scum to act 'quickly' to join in or not. (I put in ' ' because I'm speaking in terms of thread progression, not real time necessarily.)

I don't think it really matters that this is multiball. If a baddie sees a wagon, they'll be tempted to join.

I don't really understand what my wagon has to do with anything. Obviously the same rule applies - there are scum on it too. But I haven't analysed it for reasons already stated (my opinions would be questioned by the rest of you and the nature of the wagon formation was more gradual and thus harder to properly analyse, IMO.)

I have no idea if this answered your point, because of the aforementioned wine and my refusal to re-read your quoted post. But I don't see why the validity of analysing the nutella-wagon is being questioned. I've played this game for over a decade, it's a well-established rule of thumb, and **** you all for not believing me.

(I went for appeal to authority, logic, *and* emotion there!)
I am confused, I have seen plenty of wagons on Day one that consisted completely of civs. This feels like an over analysis of a moot point.

Personally, I think Nutella was going to be able to talk her way out of it since Jack was backing off (this is prolly why Nanook nuked her) and you would have been lynched. The vote moving was just about to start. I think you're trying to make a something out of a nothing, and I don't find it a good look.

I've played this game for over a decade, too. Stop showing off, lol.

JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 11:03 pmYou asked about this. I see two people talking past each other until ted figured out what Dom's question was (then ted answered the question). This exchange doesn't make me think less of either of them. It doesn't make me think much of anything.
I read the Dom/Ted thing, and I was confused about Dom's bravado that was suspecting Ted because he didn't answer a question. I also thought it was shade to say "avoided my question" cause it's such an easy gripe to have with someone. But Ted doesn't really strike me as someone who would flee away from a "difficult" question if he was scum, so likely he forgot or missed it, which he later said. I don't know. I was confused be Dom's bravado last game I played with him too though. I don't think I've seen him as scum before.

Jimmay, you know Dom better than me, so what's your overall feel there? Also, you know SVS better than me, so same question there.
I don't think "bravado" is out of place with Dom. That's a part of the persona he often brings to the game. He asked a question and it went unanswered, and so he made a stink. I don't think he has played with tedxtr before (either can correct me if necessary), so I don't think ted's own personality is an important variable to consider when judging Dom's treatment of ted. They don't know one another.

Now that ted did answer the question, we may glean more from their interaction at present. @Dom, @tedxtr, whaddya think of each other?

I have leaned positively for S~V~S on the basis of tone and familiarity with what I remember of her hunting styles and what I know of the site norms from the era from whence she brings most of her background (Syndicate circa 2013-2016 or so). I haven't dug deep on S~V~S lately though and she is a priority for reassessment.
I think we played with each other once in the past. Probably inception?Dom
But I am skeptical of the guy. He’s not my top priority today.

JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Sat Feb 29, 2020 12:08 am Michelle stuff:

I liked her in Day 0 for her little contributions. They may not be much, but I am fond of the tone. That's worth less in Day 2 Land, but it's something.

She stood in Jack's corner when he was briefly wagoned on Day 1. If Jack is a civilian one may wonder about TMI; my alarm is not set off given that it's based upon Jack's read on her. There's a personal connection driving the read that I find believable.

Town reads on sig and I, the latter based on meta. I am not surprised by the comparison given that in Dogs vs. Cats I was very loudly mislynched. It sticks in the brain.

I don't care for this post. I don't understand what Michelle means in the first line about Dizzy. Her shade at nutella looks a bit cooked -- framing it as a question to the audience "what if they're both town???" is icky. Then there's vague references to vibes from Nanook and Radish, presumably negative vibes but not overtly stated.

I don't feel much either way from the big multi-quote post. I reference it anyway given its significant stature within the ISO.

Again drawing on meta when reading Sloonei town. I've no gripe.

Michelle's stances in the Day 1 lynch were dually concrete: vote Radish, don't want to lynch nutella. I appreciate the clarity.

sig gave her some shit and she was cool with it. The lack of energy in her response is awkward.

I agree with much of what she says about Colin

Well this ended up a whole-ass ISO post. I'm JaggedJimmyJay.

It's not a perfect report. When I am less-than-positive though I feel more like I am nitpicking than like I am finding something I care about. I don't view Michelle as a good lynch.
One concern about Michelle I’d like to quell and for us all to remember in general is that since there are two bad teams, there isn’t much sense of TMI yet.,
