No seriously, Mac. Look at me. From man to man. We have been together in the same faction many times. As both civ/civ and w/w. We have won a game where we made Jay mislynch 7 times while we laughed at him from Chatzy. It was fun. But now I am offering an even bigger pleasure. We are going to catch him with stealing the cookie pot.

You may think hes civ because he made 285383938 ISOs and played every item from the Jay playbook. But who do you say is the town leader now? Luxurious? Maybe you? Nova was a decent leader too. But Jay is not, because he is not engaging. He is not talking to us. He is in his little world, filling the Jay checklist while the rest of us are mind melding.

Then we will propose some obvious bait lynch (dragomir/rdw/jessie) and Jay will join. Then they will flip town, we will say "alas, poor scummy civ" and we will go back to playing while Jay will start working on Jayexercise #8.

This has to stop. I have descended from the skies to purge the corrupt Teddy Bear from the Earth. I shall fulfill this mission then gladly take a night kill for it. For I am Luffy, cleanser of fake town leaders.

I'm about to say one of the most arrogant things I have ever said. It is going to sound extremely petty, and I have been holding it back literally all year. I think it's necessary to say though, because it is the core mindset underlying everything I have done on this Day 4:

I seriously don't want to offend anyone. I think very highly of so many players in this game and around the community. 2019 has been a hot fucking mess though, and a recurring theme has emerged in games I have lost almost without exception:

Civilians start fast and take a lead. I am generally an important part of it or spearheading it outright. I die. The civilians engage in goofy-ass decision-making that runs contrary to everything I had said while alive, and then we all lose. Let me count the ways: Shockheaded Peter, Community, Gossip Girl, Steely Dan -- this happened in all of them. I have to do it all myself. Thank goodness World Flags wasn't the same story, thanks to some fluke luck.

So I am doing it all myself. My priority is solving the entire game. I solve the entire game by analyzing the shit out of every nook and cranny of its thread to this point. Anything else is secondary to that. Because if I don't, I will lose. I may still lose if I do.

If you don't believe me, I can't be assed. I believe you're a civilian, and I hope you'll view my posts through the civilian lens because the motives ought to be easy to identify if you're looking for them.

I still don't like the way you have played so far though. I would want to see a few hundred more questions and prossings added to your game solving.

Also don't worry about feeling arrogant. After all those years I think I've kind of figured out how you think. You don't think you are better than others, but you like to play the game at the highest possible meta level whenever you can, and if others are not interested in doing that, you do it anyway.

I feel like I have to show work, but there is a force constantly pulling me back, which is the fear that one of my posts will be perceived as fabricated.

I don't think I would be able to maintain the level of hubris Dragomir has had for so long myself as scun. Granted I'm not him, but people are similar.

You have self-confidence as a baddie but not as civ? It's opposite for me.

You don't understand, I have a certain level of self-confidence as both.

But as a civ, I don't really have a fear of being perceived as baddie. Well, I do, but not as strongly. The main fear is of being wrong. And if I think I'm right I can sustain that for a while before I start second guessing myself.

If I'm bad, the fear of being perceived as bad is much stronger, and makes me more likely to waffle or back down on things.

The real challenge is trying to align my civilian self-control with the baddie one so they produce similar thread activity, even if they are motivated by different things.

Could lynch rdw, that string of posts looked civ but it was a very weak thing. Right now he's just another inactive.

I don't feel like lynching an inactive that much though.

I don't think this is an unreasonable perspective. I'm not that concerned, for example, with post-flip gloating. There's a plain human element in wanting to broadcast one's own reads victories. The stuff that gives me the most trouble is his handling of me. When you or others have voiced suspicion of me, he has responded with language suggesting, at least as I interpret it, near certainty that you're wrong and that I am good.

I'm the subject of the read. I am prone to bias when judging that read. I want to know what other people think of Drago's handling of me.

He uses the same language for everything though. He was certain about nova on day 2. He was certain about me for most of the game. His approach is to be 100% sure about everything and refuse to accept positions in contrary.

Why would town want to trap? Or over my years of playing I saw more gambits or traps being playing from the scum alignment. I guess to me this could be interpreted as an agenda statement.

We do have a history of making cases on Day 0/1 with no purpose other than trying to make scum slip.

Heck in the last game I played I was giving a watcher (basically a cop) crap for not playing how I wanted. Saying it just so I'm not an hypocrite, but also giving an example.

It's the strongest role in the game so it gets more scrutiny from others.

I wouldn't say it's something a civilian cannot say or believe. At this point in the game though I don't care much about discerning every possible angle. There's one I see that goes deeper too than just "DrWilgy is being fake" -- my immediate impression was that he was shading you for failing to check his teammate (Dragomir).

I would think a mafia's plan regarding me at this point would be "kill now or kill later" not "how can I get people to lynch him".

It could be that Jay is legit concerned, but I also feel like Jay is pursuing a case with little substance, and that's not even the 2nd time I feel that.

Speed is acting weirdly around Jay. He keeps asking me about him. He even voted for him, then said he didn't want to lynch him at all and was setting up something else (another trap). Now he's asking again. I'm unsure what Speed thinks of Jay.

Someone do a Jay/Speed interaction thing. Will probably do it myself if nobody else does.

If that means something I was already feeling iffy about Jay before he started dropping the ISOs. I think my GTH was the first time I manifested that. I just didn't feel the same thing I felt in Steely Dan. And comparing people in two different games is something I enjoy doing and seems to work (I once nailed Quin in two games at once by doing that).

No, seriously. Recently I lost a game as a civ because no one wanted to believe Quin would bus a teammate on Day 1. Earlier I lost another because no one would believe scum Golden and TH would spend the game attacking each other. Bussing works in this site because we let it work.

Also I need to note that I'm not willing to let RDW live if he doesn't make his post-finals return to the game.
