Hugh Jass wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 5:09 pm @Mr. Burns Thoughts on Alison and Bart?
I wouldn't go after Allison without a smoking gun...like she clearly pushed a townie OVER a wolf. Her pushes always reek of certainty, even when she's wrong and really seems like she should be considering the possibility that she might be. This is part of why I want to know for sure on Lisa. But she's just really hard to read and unless we get into a situation where I have to just yolo the game on trying to read her I'm not gonna go either way without some sort of info.

I think in this game state Bart has given us enough to read them as town. So Bart I think is town unless they are one of the great wolves of our time. That's a critical difference. Bart might be one of the great wolves of our time...Allison just is.
If Bart is who I think it is, they might just be. Have you ever played with a wolf alison?

Hugh Jass wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 9:26 am Do you not think it is time to start getting into that territory and reassess? There are 3 wolves alive. I feel like you've been going at the game one target at a time each phase. I don't think it's inherently a bad thing especially if someone is confident in their reads, but you don't give off that vibe. And it also stands in stark contrast with your earlier assessment on the state of the game.
Okay, I saw this bandied about a bit as a discussion point. I think I did reassess on a bunch of people. A few of my read movements (which you can track if you go through my ISO and see) - I had Gramps as scum early on for a bad entrance and interaction with Flanders, but he's been trending up over the course of D2 and D3. I snap read Lisa as town for her first post, but I suspect her now. I had my doubts about Hugh at first but now he's a confident townread.

When I reassess the game it doesn't mean that I flip all my reads, throw out my towncore and start sucking up to the people I used to scumread. It just means that - I look at the game afresh, with an eye to shaking off possible confbias and viewing past posts with more knowledge of people's alignments.
I'm not talking about reassessment in specific read, although most of the examples here have been early in the game. It's more about what I feel is a narrow view on the game. Like I'm not sure what your thoughts on the game look past your current target at any given time. If that makes sense. It's not inherently bad as I mentioned but in the case of this game and with the earlier concerns you voiced, it doesn't fit really.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would do that lol. Say Lisa flips, where do you go for them? Depending on her alignment.

She was the second wagon and has been suspected before her absence this phase. Being inactive isn't really one of the reasons.

The gist of it is still what I had in my wall and then expended on in our interactions D2. The arbitrary contribution doesn't really feel genuine, there doesn't seem to be any progression at all. And the remarks themselves are pretty bland or with no reasoning. It's a hand in every jar vibe that feel like she's just trying to appear engaged in different topics. Fluff visibility. She hasn't really been around since and yeah it does feel like it might be because this is a dunk that she think there ain't no way to fight. All inactives until now flipped town and were either MLed or NKed. Is obvious Lisa lynch is an inactive lynch, but you consider her a mislynch?

Are we talking past each other?
We are. She's a scum read of mine, and I'm the one who cased her lol. The inactive lynch angle is what I told you her absence might be if she's scum, like she decided to not show up so that we might think this is a bad lynch like the previous one.

Spoiler: show
Hugh Jass wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2020 2:54 am Not a big fan of Lisa's little contribution. Feels like she's hunting some easy posts to go off of, and then just share some bland takes. She's kind of using them to appear as if contributing. It's not the lack of reasoning that is off to me, it's more like they seem to be random as hell. There is no train of thoughts or contuinity to them, she's not like quoting different posts about a same discussion trying to give her thoughts about them or add to the discussion. She's more putting her hand into a lot of different discussion to I guess appear more visible, and broaden her reach.

i mean, who would have ever thought about that type of stuff?

maybe you're right but ime I'd say that stuff is kinda hard to fake as a wolf unless it's w/w
I get the angle of thoughts that usually don't pop in the heads of wolves but like here it's pretty tame I feel since the drop off in activity and Grumple's many questions were pretty noticeable imo. It's the kind of stuff that I love to point out as scum because they're at a very superficial level. There is also like a lack of attachment to it and progression from her which usually happen when a townie gets pinged by something that no one has comment and especially when it results in an immediate read. Like an eureka moment that feels genuine lol. Here it comes off more as her wanting to put it lights I guess.

Trying to ISO Lisa with an unforgiving perspective admittedly does make her look worse than null

okay I had a whole post written out but it was word soup and I would've been guilty of that "so many paragraphs just to say a sentence worth of content" push that was used against you (inaccurately, IMO, but still)

I was going to try and argue against your "hand in every jar" argument, and propose a "she mostly town-read the dominant wagons before dipping" alternative, but when I really got down to it, her commentary about the wagons is about equal to her commentary about chopping slankers, Marge shading, and then D2 Allison shading. She's maintained a Burns scum-lean D1 and D2, voted him D2. I can't tell if she scum-leans Marge or not. I think so? She voted Marge D1 and shaded her D2, so... probably? There's just very little to work with. She doesn't say more than one or two things about any subject. Your "hand in every jar" argument is bang on.

From what I can glean, her POE is Bart, Marge, Burns, Allison, with Burns being her strongest(?) lean

Her town is... CBG? She sided with me on D1 but in a really indirect way, so can't say I'm there, especially since she called me desperate because of a bad sentence in my D2 entrance. Town-read Grumple D1 and switched that D2, but didn't commit to calling him wolf-y. Still, probably not a town-lean. And... that's it.

her only town read was the D2 wagon, and she only revealed that a few hours before the chop

Over the course of the game I've disagreed with the logic behind some of your reads and I've felt like they were opportunistic. I.E. when you went after Hugh for making a long post. Also it's just like a vibes thing.

I'm not convinced you're more scum than Lisa.
For the record, I have a town lean on Hugh. I just get cranky with a sequel to War and Peace for a post.
That wasn't the case last phase. What changed?

Mill and CBC were town reads of mine. I was on Lisa earlier and made it the leading wagon, moved off when it took a considerable lead to keep things not too far and see how other things felt.

Re: The Simpsons [DAY 4]

I think Doc should come out if they have expanded both shots. Gets us 2 confirmed peeps that can help lead the conversation or at least be some sort of stabilizer. And we'll have at least 1 of them the following phase

Also forces mafia to commit to a CC early if they're doing it which is a good trade since we get another chop before an and/or solution.

how these other things felt?
Meh overall, there were no movement and nothing caught traction. Marge didn't come back to wagonize Burns which could have been interesting and Krusty who called for it didn't switch there to make it happen. Suspicions on you kind of hit a wall when I got told the identity lol, a lot of reservations there.

Otto Mann wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2020 12:39 pm Earlier in the game I posted about seeing a world where Burns and Allison are w/w and you guys gave me shit for "associative reads" or something.
Well I'm seeing that world again and don't care that you guys hate me exploring worlds.
Also, I'll have to ISO to confirm, but I don't think Krusty has questioned Allison or Burns and by this point in the game Krusty would have normally questioned everyone and gone back for some follow up.
Now he didn't get salty the last time I circled back on him, but I think he's learned not to lash out when scum.
Another thing with Krusty is that when hes town his reads are never this bad, however I have seen him go full on open wolf and just jump on any convenient town wagon night after night.
Hes bold like that.
Think that was me meme-ing lol. The quote and emoji should have made it obvious, I wanted the thought behind it

Town core of Alison, Hugh, Otto, Burns, Grampa are rotten. 2 minimum wolf methinks. I'll bet my flapping dicky

So between Allison, Burns, Hugh and Grandpa who are your strongest SR's?
Hugh and Grandpa, gut feels. My game is absolute trash so far, so fuck it.
Come on now, I'm obv town lol. What happened to the gut scum read on Alison? And wanting Burns to compete with Lisa last phase?

I have to admit, my tinfoil changed a bit, i think your day was better after we talked, but what bothers me is your calm, is like you are waiting the game moving forward by itself. Maybe is just my wrong perception and if it is please help me to see this.
Can you reevaluate Mr. Burns (because you already have that huge analysis on him) and make short reads for everyone?
I will do this myself in few hours, to not say i may be inspired/influenced by your ideas, i would suggest you to post these things in the same time, i will @ you when i am ready.
That's a pretty fair take, I think it's because of how I've been solving more globally rather than hard committing on one target at times even though I cased and have several suspects. Mentioned earlier how the flow of the game and the dynamic of the sockpuppets was throwing me off, like being shy with my votes which is not a me thing no matter my alignment. It's just been a weird game and I'm emotionally exhausted a bit so that's seeping in.

I have no energy to do that right now, and it's sleepy time in a few hours. Will do that in the morning tomorrow, was planning on re-read some stuff.

Allison Taylor wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2020 10:19 pm Why the fuck does scum Krusty not shoot Skinner? Skinner is a claimed Tracker and was suspicious of Krusty. If you're Krusty there you just shoot Skinner, everyone assumes it's because he's a PR, and you get rid of someone pointing a finger at you without drawing any attention.

Skinner might have been left alive because his Krusty suspicion is wrong and wolves want him to rampage after the wrong guy.
If he's bad, he's not a lone wolf. Avoiding Krusty again might have been another doc dodge to be safe. Not that impossible for a Doctor to have foregone using a shot one of the first two night banking on assumed protection to then clutch an N3 save.
