I am inclined to view sprityo as civilian, and if so he can be a great asset. So anything that pushes him there is worth a go.tedxtr wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 2:46 pm I am mostly interested to see how sprit does his VCA hunting thing that I really like, but there's a lot of other things at the moment, and part of that is a reason why I asked you about it. The nanook / sig thing was going on and I didn't understand why you deflected to sprit when there was plenty of other stuff to focus on.

This seems to be the epicenter of the Jacktella quake. I am brought to wonder:Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 11:54 pm Like Nutella is playing what I would expect from her if she tried really hard to mimic her town game.
Or she’s just town.
Like she’s hitting her scumtell a and her towntells.
How do we (we who know nutella) anticipate her to respond to a post like this, where is she is told she is playing to her norms in both alignments? This is an accusation from Jack after all, even if "softened" by the town half of the presentation. I'm not surprised nutella called it garbage, or that she wondered aloud if a mafioso Jack would be so obvious as to openly hedge in this manner.

Because I'd be surprised to see nutella offended by this cushy push. More like 'meh' and 'jack do you even have an opinion'

And anyone else who may think I’m too serious to be townJack or that I could be wrong or lying about Nutella being mafia, read my interactions with Nutella in that link with the knowledge that I am town and she’s a wolf.
This game is practically a rerun.
~ nutella's responses to your suspicion in that game do not look like this one. In that game her initial responses were almost fluffy and jovial -- she used "lol" and laugh emojis and made a Pokemon joke. Eventually she lost that persona after constant hounding from you, but even then she was a piece of wood. She was serious and obstinate, but she was emotionless. This time she has responded to you with proverbial ~angery~ energy.
~ Your own handling of nutella looks similar enough at the onset. The comparison here is a bit difficult to draw given that I don't think she handled you the same way then, which then leads to differences in your handling of her. At the least though I can see some parallel.
Primarily, consider following this exercise yourself with your present read on nutella in mind rather than [people's] present reads on you.

Oh Dizz, giving me the bizz. To be frank there is some element of "control" in my play, at least this little temporal segment of my play since maybe halfway through 2019. I am Zen Master Jay. The game of Mafia became outright burdensome and not fun for Emotional Jay, and he kinda sucked too at the end. We seek equilibrium. We seek the glory of human reason.

First, S~V~S was correct that it was comparable to a set of gun to head reads. I refuse to incorporate neutral, null, yellow, or gray nothing reads into my play except when a player has exactly zero posts. As soon as any one post comes into my universe, it is possible to form a judgment -- even if barely.Master Radishes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 6:51 pm It was early in the game still when posted, yet was confidently shading barely-posting players in green/orange. I am skeptical that you have reviewed any significant portion of this game thread and then determined that the worst thing you see is a reads list.

~ The fourth voter thing is meaningless.
~ Suspecting me because I posted a reads list in a Mafia game is hard to believe -- particularly when you initially went after Mac (whose joke list came immediately after mine).
~ This comma-laden Sloonei read is everywhere and then after review stayed nowhere

She has 18 total posts. Very few of those posts are interactive questions. Rather, she's done two investigative style posts, one on Jack and half a one on nutella.
That is unnerving, because I'm used to seeing an engaged civilian juliets peppering people with questions and trying to piece things together. All of this feels like busy work. Even the conclusion on Jack is a weasel:
"Jack is very good at being scum. I need to think about and/or get feedback about my points above or other points about Jack but he is a possibility for my vote today."

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Day 1]
I think her approach to this game so far maps closely to what I have seen from her as a civilian in most-recent memory. The ISOs she has provided, for example -- she has made a point lately of trying to add that layer to her game. This isn't the first time she has given it a shot. Indeed, that's why I offered that reassurance that I would check them out. I believe I recall her suggesting in a previous game that she wasn't good at it and/or nobody was reading them, and I want to reinforce the effort positively. I love the addition to juliets' play. I am not surprised to see her struggling to come to hard conclusions from that work given what I [believe I] know about how juliets thinks. She is careful. She takes her time. She weighs every possibility she can think of. I just think it looks authentic.Epignosis wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 12:22 am I'd rather hear why juliets is a civilian to you, JJJ.

I mean come on.
Separately, Jack touched upon one of the thoughts I withheld previously: it makes a ton of sense for juliets to be wary of Jack. The two of them were the Inception end game, and it worked in his favor to her detriment.
You are right that she is lacking in activity level compared to those recent games, so that is something she should speak to.

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Night 1]
I'm trying to find Radish mentioning that he could apply the same method to his own wagon and I don't see it. Do I understand you correctly?Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:49 pm Yeah, I was just here to post gifs.
I'm with Radish that Nut wagon probably has scum. I mean, scum is like half the game anyway. Lol this game. But also, he should also consider that the same would apply to him if he is ALLEGEDLY town. Yeah, I saw him mentioned this in a later post.
Anyway. It depends on who got scum rules and all, but the more non descriptive quiet folks are the ones I want to see more from. Scum be hiding there often. Also scum likes to be off wagons too, so..
Good night, all.
Anyway the point is valid. It's goofy to focus on the nutella wagon as the competing wagon.

What'd you see in the ISO before you were told why?speedchuck wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 9:29 pm Wozzit called? Stream of consciousness. Thassit.
Since that post I have at least been told why someone would vote master radishes. This post was entirely based on ISOs

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Night 1]
Consecutive Colin posts. I highlight two things yellow, one from Michelle and one from Colin, that follow similar themes. They discuss Radish as a third party in the Inception game with some kind of implied impact upon present reads. Michelle declares her read with a vote. Colin declares nothing and leaves the ellipsis. That's not inspired.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:13 pm Although before I caught up I misinterpreted nutella as scum and read the thread as such, so some of my thoughts are useless.
I feel best about sig, his NANOOK suspicion and case felt really genuine. I also really like just about everything I’ve seen from ted. I like Jay so far, and Epi.
The Michelle post I quoted earlier bugged me out, I’m not sure what it meant/if it makes any sense. I agree with Epi’s concerne toward juliets.
Radishes isn’t giving me the same exact vibe as he did when I sniffed him out as 3P in Inception, but it’s similar ...
The non-read aside, I don't know why you'd be confused (orange) by what Michelle said, Colin, given that you talked about the same thing immediately thereafter.

G-Man has been known to push civilians to an AFC Championship Game out of nowhere on rare occasion.Turnip Head wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 11:42 pm Hes one of those civs who won't lose you the game but he may not win it for you either. He's the Ryan tannehil of civilians

Beef:
This was followed with a comment about the night poll and a single middle finger response to an accusation from ted. I'm not accustomed to G-Man being cranky butts.

Tony's posts make me feel nothing. I don't think he seems inauthentic, but I also don't see any posts that would be uncomfortable to produce by mafia fingers. Net negative.

I like Dom more. I think Dom has taken on an incisive, fierce tone that feels both authentic and generally civilian in character.
