generating a read on the newly replaced in for sprityo dunya is an important part of today, as well as hearing your viewpoint on what's happened thus far.

I want to clarify that I'm not fully advocating a Mesk514 lynch yet. There are still multiple possible reasons why she's been relatively absent in this game. My goal in bringing her up is first and foremost to figure out what those reasons are.

so that's one mystery solved. case closed.dunya wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2017 6:54 pmjust to clarify here, although it is out of game related, I did ask her about the ~civ~ thing when I played on her forum. Everyone was calling other "civs" and she was on discord chat with me so I asked. She told me it referred to Civilian/Vanilla Townie. I did not tell her I use civilian as scum, only that in my experience and games I've played, we didn't refer to townies as "civs" so I wasn't sure what they were going on about. She may have misinterpreted my question. I don't hold this against her.

Re: Mountain Mafia [DAY 1]
This seems like a strange conclusion to come to based on our experiences together since I was 100% not a driving force behind anything in Pirates.
Also a kind of strange leap? What part of my gameplay is so strongly indie that you're leaning towards me being the alignment that only 5% of players are?My money would be Kyle is either our third-party rogue or scum right now, but leaning loner rogue at this point.

I would also like to point out that my activity level in instant mafia iteration 1 was not necessarily all to do with alignment. I didn't want to post because of the Bad Vibes, and Weird Atmosphere.
But even if it were a direct correlation, I had the 2nd lowest # of posts in that game out of 10 players; in this game I'm 4th from the top in a game of 20.

Re: Mountain Mafia [DAY 1]
In pirates I had 3 major suspects, MP, Quin, and Speedchuck. MP I voted for basically because of LC's case and what was drug out because of it. Quin I was more proactive with but like.... Honestly I didn't really push that discussion either? I just voted along with it and you know how speedchuck went.dunya wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2017 7:35 pmis it strange? You're not one to sit back and see how one person responds to another before making an appearance in the thread, sorry.
You're characterizing me as a Good and Effective player and... Thanks I guess, but I'm not afraid to appeal to other players' skill sets before there's anything solid to chew on.

The players who I didn't enjoy weren't in the second game.
Dunya. My friend.
Is the point you're trying to argue that the first Instant Mafia game was a good and enjoyable experience?
Are you arguing that the game that you and I complained about on discord for maybe an hour after the fact was secretly really enjoyable to me? Did you forget about the part of that discussion where I emphasized that I was diving into the second game despite my experiences in the first one?

That's entirely false. You know game 1 was way worse than game 2 because you read them both. Game 2 was actually enjoyable, and had good and nice players in it. My complaints about game 2 were mechanical in nature.dunya wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2017 8:34 pmKyle, the fact is you complained about the players in your second game too though. This didn't stop townie Kyle from actively trying to lynch scum and having a more driven-centric approach in the thread. This is my opinion, on what I have seen and witnessed. Since Long Con has played many games with you, perhaps he'd like to counter my suspicions if he sees a townie Kyle in your participation here.

I'm sorry. I sincerely apologise. I was reacting to you under the impression that you'd read the entire game and were basing your opinion on that rather than just the parts that I'd complained to you about.dunya wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2017 9:09 pm Umm, no, I don't know how that's entirely false, and frankly, I'm a but upset you're making me out as a liar on here re: a discussion that occurred privately between me and you. You're the one who complained about the game "devolving into trash talk again" (but with more tame language). The pages I was linked to at the time were people just yelling at each other. Mesk overreacting profoundly, and you admitting it's not your thing. So excuse me when I felt it was safe to assume you were still getting bad vibes from game 2, but that's the impression you gave me. I don't ever bring REAL LIFE lies into a mafia game, regardless of my alliance, cos I'm not a liar.
After I'd complained to you I'd set out to enjoy the game and win at whatever cost necessary by fully exploring all options for the dilemma that was placed before me and debating with mafia player PowersThatBe. It was a completely different experience from game 1, and most of my posts in that game were generated in the process of debating with him.

dunya I really do apologize. You're my friend and I don't want there to be any negativity between us. I was shocked that you were seemingly using our discussion of the sc2 games against me. I can see now how from the context from our talks that you might think that I didn't enjoy the second game, and it is true that I was much more willing to turn lemons into lemonade as a townie.
I think you'll find , despite the lack of an onslaught of lemons in this game, that my behavior and interest level in this game are closer to the level I displayed in the game where I was good than the game where I was wolves

Linki...by the way... I can never address linki because on my phone, the left side of linki gets cut off for some reason. Just thought I'd share.
Yes, as town, a wrongly accused town, she gets very vocal and aggressively defensive. She hasn't been on the frying pan though, indeed, she hasn't even been on the forum for 6 days so....we can't say she's scum because she's not here.
Dunya replaced in awesomely with great effort. What if she is too good to be true? What if there have been no night kills because of a quiet mafia and two of them are mesk and now dunya? I've brought up Mesk so many times cus Mesk is my friend, I want her to be more active and enjoy playing games here, but I really do think there's a strong possibility she's bad here. My discussion with Dunya wasn't meta. I believe she probably suspected me for real and I know I suspected her for real because of a possible contradiction involving a real life discussion we had about a different game.speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:06 pm Kylemii - BAD
Kyle being scum would depend on Mesk/Lasagne being good, I think. But when Kyle pops in and goes after Mesk, I can'thelp but feel that it's opportunistic. And maybe it's my lack of ISOs, but I don't think that's inconsistent with Kyle's style of play thus far. And then most of today's content has been a meta argument with Dunya that nobody else can follow, and it rubbed me the wrong way. I also had a light scumread on Kylemii last week. So yeah, Imma call it. Despite what I said in one of these other reads, I'll probably ISO someone before directly agreeing to a lynch, but Kyle is a contender.

If two kills were indeed attempted, two different instances of possibilities one through six must have transpired.Epignosis wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 10:27 am Nobody wants to discuss why it's Day 2 and everybody is still alive? Okay.
Possibility #1: Aconcagua was targeted with the kill.
Possibility #2: Chimborazo was targeted with the kill and borrowed Aconcagua ability that same night.
Possibility #3: Kilimanjaro was targeted with the kill and activated its ability that same night (which I hope isn't the case).
Possibility #4: Mont Blanc did the Tube Snake Boogie and one of the above also happened.
Possibility #5: Matterhorn ???
Possibility #6: Olympus Mons ???
Possibility #7: Wrekin, England is the only member of the team able to submit a kill, and he was asleep at the hill.
If #7 is the correct answer, and the kill is transferred to someone else on the team upon Wrekin's death, then we could keep the inactives alive to relieve the mafia of their kill until they are replaced and a kill comes in.

I don't necessarily agree with that as perfect evidence even if it's genuine. I think it's easy to forget how big the mafia is sometimes if you're on it, especially if there's any number of low participation players who wouldn't necessarily check into btsc frequently.

day two ended with Jack and Sloonei having an apparent tie, no one was lynched, jack implied beforehand that he would survive using certain terms like 'well I see you tried to lynch me, I guess I better go back and see why' before we knew that the result was a no lynch.
The only know survival roles are civ or possibly indie, so I assumed that lynch confirmed Jack as one of them, but the fact that so many people still suspect jack leads me to the conclusion that I am an idiot and I missed something important at some point

Huh. Thank you. I didn't notice that about Sloonei.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 5:29 pmI can't speak for everyone else, I can only speak for me. I find it highly unlikely it was town/town when the lynch was Sloonei/Jack. One of them is most likely bad imo and I am leaning Jack. They both said things that seem to indicate they knew there was more there than meets the eye. I believe Nutella is civ and who I think she is after the Day1 non-lynch. So that leaves me with questions about what Jack said before the lynch non-flip. Then you add in his defense of LC's arguments against Epi Day1 and I just feel like he is most likely bad. The arguments are ridiculous and I feel like they keep trying to paint Epi as bad when in fact I think they are the ones twisting what Epi was actually saying. That's just me talking about where I am coming from, I don't know everyone else's case against him.
Not necessarily. You can be bad and get caught out for stuff that isn't actually a slip or scumtell. It's annoying as hell, but it happens, probably frequently. Pure dumb luck.
linki Kyle: Sloonei said stuff much more blatantly, and before Jack did. So technically they both made that kind of claim. Jack seemed to imply he knew vote shenanigans were at work for him to have not been lynched. Sloonei just implied it would be a waste of time to lynch him, period. So Sloonei's claim seems more believable to me. In order to believe Jack's claim, I would need to believe either Nutella is not who I think she is, and judging by her behavior I don't think this is the case, or that he is the role that borrows power from a mountain taller than itself and used it to double his vote value. This last one is possible. I just have trouble buying it when I consider the whole picture of Jack.
So is the idea that Jack was bluffing?

Re: Mountain Mafia [DAY 3]
I'm thinking through the possibilities where both Sloonei and Jack could be telling the truth
1. Jack is chimbarazoa and stole Everest. Easy enough. But still incredibly uncertain. Not certain enough to walk in and say you were almost lynched because even if his vote for sprityo was +1, that still would have made a 3 way tie, ignoring all other manip that Jack wouldn't be aware of. Not enough to be confident of survival
2. Sloonei and Jack take up both the roles of Aconcagua and Pico Cristóbal. This depends on whether Aconcagua'a survival of attempts on life refer to nightkilled only or lynches too so.... Marmot hit us up with that sweet sweet beautiful knowledge
3. one of Sloonei or Jack Chimborazoaed Aconcagua, Pico Cristóbal cannot be Chimborazoaed cus Picó Cristobal is too short. this seems unlikely as it would take some wild early-game guesswork.
