You've spoken largely in generalities and I think I understand why. Is there a specific quiet player who you think would be better than the others to lynch today?

Hmm....I'll follow you down this road....Ermac wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 10:59 pmOn an unrelated matter, we are led to understand there have been two lynchings so far this game; MacDougall and Sig. Both were lynched by a sizeable cohort and both were members of the Order. Do you think there is any value in determining whether there were any common denominators on both those wagons and taking that a step further, reviewing their lynch choices today?
Voters for Mac: speedchuck, Kylemii, Made, JaggedJimmyJay, Sloonei, Long Con
Sig voters: dunya, nutella, JaggedJimmyJay, Long Con, Kylemii, Jackofhearts2005, Simon
The players in common here are: me, Long Con, and JaggedJimmyJay
Jay is now voting for novaselinever, he's also pushed a lot of players independently. LC hasn't really expressed intentions of who he would vote for since the chaos day, other than a short list for Tony's "build the perfect scumteam" excercise, I am still in the process of deciding where my vote will go.
Idk. To answer your question, I don't generally spend time on deep votal analysis until after the first scum is caught.
I actually still don't know what you were trying to get me to see here but you have brought to attention that both of LC's votes in this game so far were for players who were already getting lynched because of cases made by someone else, for players he'd never mentioned before.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]
I don't think the 2 mislynch 1 mislynch thing necessarily contradicts the idea that lapuie might have info on dunya. It actually kinda makes sense. Lapluie started going hard after dunya following the dawn of day 3, despite having been relatively noncommittal beforehand about most players.
reviewing the events with all that in mind, lapulie does fit the behavioral archetype of a player who has info but limited resources to build a case on. also her first post of the day right after the dawn post was "well, I know who I'm voting for" implying a possibility of information or vote force.

2. she said "I know who I'm voting for" because I fucking started the sig lynch and he flipped town. If you think that makes me bad, genuinely if you feel that way, feel free to lynch me Kyle.
But stop putting words in other players mouths though. I hate it when other players answer for someone else. They have fingers, they can type.
I haven't decided anything yet. without lapluie's push on you, I think you generally read as what I think is consistent with your civ meta, and your building a case against Sig despite the difficulty of doing so looked good to me as well. I think lapuie's treatment of you is an important data point in determining both of your alignments.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]
I agreed with LC's point because I personally looked back through lapluie's posts and saw it as a valid explanation for her jarring change in behavior. It's a realistic possibility and there was plenty of reason for laplulie to use some kind of check on you last night so I think it would be irresponsible to take that consideration off the table.dunya wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2018 7:05 pmthat's not what I found disgusting, but your casing of me based on someone's theory of someone's theory. Your post was trying to frame me negatively, even though you are basing it on loose speculation and not straight from the horse's mouth, and then to top all that off you sign it off with something like "but idk maybe I'm wrong". I don't like that. I feel it was very opportunistic of you.
I'm not trying to frame you as anything, I'm trying to figure you out. If lapluie doesn't have info then there's significantly less to worry about.

Put your vote back on me. Or better yet, if you return to the game, I'll selfvote. How's that? Do we have a deal?
I'm not gonna vote you because of my silly conclusion that youre bad because of the sig lynch, I've thought about it, it just makes us both look bad. Simon is already in the lead for lynch, I think speedchuck is right to think that simon would be a good lynch tonight, his behaviours have been erratic & noncommittal. Sorry I lashed out like that, I understand where you're coming from. So thank you

I think I'm in agreement on Simon. his previous behavior was hit or miss but showing up and almost getting lynched and not commenting on it is like.... I feel like he'd have had to have had something to say about that.
There's also a really eerie contrast between elohs treatment of Simon here and how she treated him in vocaroo (where they were both civ)

To be clear, I don't believe Eloh would lie about illness to avoid responsibility. I don't think she's the kind of person who'd do that.Glorfindel wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 7:34 pm Not that it matters what I think now but if I were around next Day phase, I wouldn’t consider lynching Elohcin. She’s claimed consideration from us on compassionate grounds (I too, wish you a speedy recovery, Eloh) and I cannot believe that she would take advantage of that as Mafia. That (to me) would be totally unconscionable and I’d frankly never play again with anyone that did something as unethical as that. I don’t believe Eloh is that kind of person.
I also wouldn't prioritize her over Simon, since a portion of suspicion against her relies on a link between them anyways, and I'd rather wait til she feels better and can respond.

rip rabbit ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/sad.gif)
Jay has claimed or has strongly hinted Kano (why??). Marmot has also counterhinted Kano.
I think Jay is lying, or even if he's not he's proven himself to be a neutral with bad intentions. Jay rolling a role with a "make sure 10 civs including 2 specific civs" is absolutely going to be proactive towards achieving that because of his "play to win" attitude. but I think he was lying, and counting on the real Kano not saying anything because..... admitting that you're a visibly anti-town role is actually ludicrous??but marmot also seemingly did that. fake claiming to be a doesn't-need-to-be-lynched-role when people want to lynch you looks worse than claiming to be a doesn't-need-to-be-lynched-role to prevent the former thing.
neither Simon nor Jay are on the poll right now which is..... Yeah. Something's obvs-fucky.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 4]
marmot's recent actions don't make sense as a match to the ermac sock, ermac seemed helpful and civvie-minded, at least on the surface marmot seems... chaotic.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 2:54 amI don't think two mafia members claim indy today. But I can't be sure.
Would be worth figuring out who Ermac is based on sentence structure, etc but I'm really tired.
I think he's the real Kano and went back on it after he was reminded of his role's win condition and seeing how close the mafia are to victory

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 4]
just a heads up to Kano, if Jack is correct in his math and we don't lynch a mafia in the next couple days you will be locked out of victory.epi wrote:Kano
Kano wins if he survives, Sonya Blade and Jax are dead, and at least ten other civilians are dead.
If the game ends with the full mafia alive there will only have been 9 civvie deaths. You need a mafia lynch as much as we do.

then what do you suggest his motivation is? can you see a civilian reason for anything marmot's done?Glorfindel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 3:21 amI simply cannot accept that someone as skilled and experienced as Marmot could make such a newbie mistake. The answers are non-civ distract us motivation, and no, there's no civ reason. These were things I've already said.Quin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 5:57 amYes.Kylemii wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 5:56 amQuin, are you asking for me to respond to my own rhetorical question?Quin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 5:38 amYou just played a burglary with him. I also don't think of it as a newbie mistake like glorfindel said, I think it would be pretty easy for marmot to jump-react to his role being claimed before thinking about the implications.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 4]
the situations are different. In jester games there's no harm in claiming jester because the only person who doesn't mind being seen as possibly being the jester is the actual jester.Quin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 6:09 amI was trying to draw your attention to Marmot immediately claiming Jester in the burglary today. He didn't do that for civilian reasons. He said he'd have done it regardless of whether he rolled Jester or not. I can follow your train of thought if the underlined if what you're concerned about.
though i haven't even read outside of this quote pyramid so what do i know
marmot countered strongly-suspectsd-to-be-a-mafia-member Jay's strongly implied claim of being Kano by implying he owned that role. the civilian utility for a fake indie counterclaim would be fairly limited, and would really just be a more risky way to get across the point of "doubt it"
