You played scum with Nutella when Jack nailed her out of the box on day 1 in the Aussie game. It should mean something to you because you know how she feels about it. Does what you know line up with how she is dealing with him here to you? Looking at before I called her out on it specifically.Michelle wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 10:11 pmto search this "this" at 4 am is not actually possible, can you quote it please?MacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 9:22 pm @Michelle and @Dom probably should have the same read as me on this.

I do have my own reads. I also happen to have used Jack's read on you as a starting point to reading you because it's the most profound thing I have observed in the game to this point based on meta and history between you two. I gave him a chance here but he hasn't projected any of his usual town radiance to me yet. He's usually a beacon of mindmelds for me, and it may just be that he's mostly been talking about me so I can't mindmeld, but I agree that he doesn't seem to have any of his own reads.

Fair assessment.nutella wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 10:18 pmMost of his content feels forced. Like he came up with a couple fake suspicions (like the jay readlist thing) that don't seem thought through at all. Maybe not thinking it through could be town indicative, but to me it read like he was trying to come up with something that sounded original and natural -- and that extends to most of his other contributions so far.

I see Juliets asked me a thing. I don't know why it's weird tbh. Jack was (is) scummy but in multiball scum are scum hunting so his read is still worth taking stock. Like why would I ignore his read in that context because of an earlier ping? It's day 1 who cares. It's about throwing shit at a wall.
I won't catch up til tomorrow so if there's anything else tag me.

That's a pretty shitty reason. Good luck if after this many pages we're lynching Mac based on not being productive. Things are different for me now. I can't dedicate hours per day to Mafia. Ok thank you.
[mention]sig[/mention] it's true that I profile likely so I can see why you'd think that. Even if you weren't suspecting me I would probably silence you if I had that role because it feels like tradition for me to use irritating roles on you. But unfortunately your logic beyond it being on point for meta doesn't hold up. I didn't read a single post during the night. I didn't even know you were suspecting me during the previous phase until I just read your post when Sloonei linked it, or at least I don't remember it. And my content/tone isn't a scum indicative thing for me.
Be mindful of the fact that I think there are quite a few people who would silence you night 1 who aren't me also. I'm sorry but you're barking up the wrong tree. I think you should probably apply the same logic when considering others though.

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Day 2]
Lol I feel like there are quite a few people who are just falling in love with the idea of catching me and not actually reading my play. Namely Dom, Nanook, Jack and now Nutella. Dom especially only really amped it up on me when I came back to thread live and a bunch of others (Jay, Nanook, Sloonei) all simultaneously started hounding me. It was too opportunistic and I do not trust.
I'm not really one who generally believes/trusts when people make self meta reads but if you've seen my GoC play, or really the vast majority of my mafia play, before (and I have been mafia in multiple), I can't see how you look at this game and think you're seeing the mafia version of Mac.
I'm not saying that I'm playing well or anything, quite the contrary, but mislynching me today would be a poor result. We should lynch someone who sucks more at Mafia ergo if they are mislynched would be no loss. Someone like Jay, Epi, or Sloonei.

Jack isn't town here. If there's one read you should come back to if/when I die it should be this one. I can best summarise it by saying that he feels like he is only half attempting to scum hunt when compared to his actual range. Which would be forgiveable if he wasn't also ever present. He is holding back. Actually this is probably explains why I've had suspicion on a range of other players too. Jay, Sloonei, S~V~S, TSP, Dyslexicon all fit the bill.

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Day 2]
I promise I am not though. If you vote someone else you will be happy at the end of the game that you ignored your intuition in favour of arbitrarily trusting me for no apparent reason.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:45 amI mean I kinda think you are, soMacDougall wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:43 amHey so like I'm not scum so could you like not vote to lynch me plz?NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:40 am I mean I’m just not really willing to think that anyone is going to seriously consider a world where one of the scum teams had to play short handed for an entire cycle

Then you aren't town either.Sloonei wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:44 amI can’t see anything but town Jack in this game. There was a burst of emotion (not a deliberate appeal to emotion) on Day 1 that I thought projected a level of agitation that would not have been reached if he was bad.MacDougall wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:37 am Jack isn't town here.

My skill at reading some of these people is only matched by my own hubris about how good my skills are at reading them.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:46 am And like your TRs are not good imo, so idk man I’m probably just gonna keep killing you tbh, until/unless something better comes around

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Day 2]
I dunno, it seems like the only thing that's likely to happen after I get mislynched is that you mislynch Turnip Head for TMI or some dumb shit.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:45 am The other thing that makes me feel OK about a mac TK is that we have actual battle lines over it, people are invested on both sides, as opposed to radishes where we have a few people invested in killing him and everyone else seemingly kind of shrugging and going “eh, idk, maybe?”
And I tend to think that in a game like this a polarized TK is more likely to lead to scum than one where the strongest defense against it amounts to a half hearted “idk he’s kinda null.”

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Day 2]
I can understand that some people wanna catch the big fish. Especially you big game hunter types like Sig. And we all know the big fish is the Big Mac. I get it. It's the big dick move. Mac is scum, we did it fam! Let's all rejoice we killed the King.
But consider how dumb you will all feel when I flip town and you have left Dragomir alive.
Now I am not saying we should lynch Dragomir. In fact I don't really think that listening to my reads is actually all that good of an idea given I have probably read about 10% of the total game posts. But still.
