I don't want to lynch you today, no. I disagree with Epignosis's posts leading up to the linked one, especially the part where he says that you talking will help expose your teammates more. This is true of any player, but I would gander it's less true of you than most players. Not that you wouldn't talk about your teammates, but that it'd be harder to for anyone to read those connections.

That, and if you're mafia, Epignosis must certainly acknowledge that you'd have a decent shot at talking your way out of a lynch later.

I'm a bit confused by this moment, Marmot. You didn't want to lynch me because you disagreed with Epi's rationale about when I should be lynched. What does that have to do with whether I am aligned with the mafia?

It didn't really matter to me whether you were aligned to mafia or not. It mattered to me what he thought.

If he was sincere in his belief that you were mafia, I didn't think it made sense for him to wait to lynch you.

That's fair because I feel the same way. My perspectives are different to most. This always happens. When I find Mafia they tend to be the players everyone else misses and I am blind to the ones the majority catch.

I thought I explained very clearly why I went to group 3. The players I had scum reads on in group 1 and 2 were either not up for lynch or posting content that made me doubt my reads. I even made a point of saying it's time to consider that there are a lot of mafia in group 3. I picked you two out mostly because you were more front of mind than the others.

You were the one who posed whether I would feel differently if Daisy were the one catching votes when you were. And that was what caught my hastily thought through vote that ended up stuck on her wagon.

I haven't solved you. Some of your content looks civvie but I am gut reading you scum.
Spacedaisy wasn't up for a lynch... Until she suddenly was.

My point was, you went for the low-hanging fruit, Dr. Wilgy and Marmot. I'm also pretty sure also stated that the thread was moving in the direction of lynching me because of you (although I can't find that post right now). You're capable of doing such things, so why not push it towards a higher-profile suspect?

I don't think you cared that Spacedaisy was lynched. I get that you voted her in the end, but I'm not sure how meaningful it was.

These were my original beefs with Mac.

Another note to consider was that he originally placed his vote on me on Day 1 because no other player was suspicious enough to lynch, except for nutella, who he didn't have the gumption to lynch. So Mac also found evidence to fit his narrative and back up a vote that was not made on such grounds.

I would pm him like crazy to try and get him to be more active. Heck, if I were mafia and my win depended on a player who is just barely posting to not get any reads on him, I wouldn't want that win. But if he's just going to get himself lynched because of not posting, and that would cause his team to lose a power, that's even more reason to call him out

We were mafia partners in Pikmin Mafia which took place around Christmas a couple years ago. I was borderline absent in the later stages of the game due to family events and things. I don't recall you doing that sort of thing. Is that the sort of scenario you're talking about?

That post from nova threw me off for sure. I'd been at work all day and I came in with that half-hearted jab, and his response was to imply there was some vindicating truth about him in the thread. I wondered if maybe I'd missed something. Now that I've been here and had time to look at things, I'm no closer to understanding what he was talking about.

After suggesting that Long Con was mafia he made a case and voted for me.

I imagine one of those two behaviors are what he is pointing at.

Also of note, nova had 4 posts before Day 3, 20 posts on Day 3, and 0 posts since then. My inclination is that this was a last ditch effort to save Long Con and the mafia team.

I thought perhaps something had changed in the conversation around NVN during that time, but nothing did. In fact it doesn't seem to have been discussed aside from the one post from nutella that he quoted. The only thing of note aside from that post that changed was Jay's "oopsie" vote for Marmot.

Interestingly, he does try to undermine the PoE by shaking at the people getting universal town reads too.

But he came in today with a confident assertion that NVN is bad. It just worries me that I've misread him.

I could have continued to be a stubborn fool and voted Mac, and you probably wouldn't care.

I took a step back and realized that I just might be wrong. It was more evident when two mafia were lynched consecutively and I had nothing to do with it.

And yesterday, I stated my observation on nova. I waited around for a response from him. Or Long Con. I didn't hear anything more so I put my vote there. Even if his vote did occur before mine, it doesn't make much sense for a vote.

Jay said no one was trying to lynch Epignosis.
