Lol. I thought the same way. I thought on it and then came up with a couple different things that might not be true, but could be. Maybe someone has a role where they can turn in a name of a SD song, and if it’s in the game, the host adds the role to the list. Or, maybe the host is going to add a role each day, regardless. If so, then ppl better be honest if they decide to role claim.

I’d like help with a few things, if no one minds. I have been thinking of Dunya as town pretty much the whole game. She is not soft on anyone, she hasn’t tried steering things, and she just doesn’t ring any warning bells with me. But it would be really dumb for me to not ask about her former game play. Is Dunya always this way? Does she play differently in all games, does she have a tell if she is mafia that distinguishes her from town?
I just want to know if everyone is accepting her as town this time, so I can be sure too.

Same with Nova, I don’t know his style either, so I’m paying attention to some of the warnings I see from Jay and others. My first take was that he seemed ok, but now I think it’s time to reread him.

I’m trying hard to remember some names of games I played. In Twin Peaks and Bioshock, I think I was town. I was mafia in a DFaraday game, a game with like five different role checkers. It might have been a wrestling theme. MP busted me right away, and he was on the other mafia team. That’s all I can remember right now.
I have been on a bad team with LC too. But a different site.

I had to do some searching. I think the only one I could see in the HoF was Death Note. Which was a pretty epic game. It was me, Marmot, Mata and Boo with BTSC. We could win with Bass and Rico but didn't have btsc with them. I don't know if that game can exactly be considered normal though. Also it was forever ago.

i just found that, it was fun! I think I was bussed by mutual agreement near endgame, because I was drawing suspicion. I couldn’t remember everyone on the team though.

I’m going to try and find some Dunya games to compare. I don’t think it’s wise to just assume someone is town because they seem to be.

when i'm town, everyone knows i'm town. but i'm pretty sneaky (you should read my fire emblem game where i had everyone fooled before i had to replace out).

i'll tell you one thing: i hate being mafia. like, seriously. i loathe it. my fav role to roll? vanilla townie. gimme that shit any day of the week and i'll be a happy camper. that's why heists are my fav game types.

anyway, maybe jay can tell you more about mafia dunya vs town dunya. he has a thesis written on the subject.

I’m not sure what the word for steering is now, but it means to keep bringing the attention back, subtly, to the same person, for not very important issues. Like trying to keep the spotlight on someone in a sneaky way. I haven’t seen you doing that and I would expect someone bad to try that early days in a game.

So, the mafia team is either down to a missing person, or two people, and one of them is missing, and the one who is here, is foregoing the kill so it will look like one mafioso left.

I reread the lowposters earlier today, and I came away thinking that neverwhere seemed ok too. I did not get the best feeling from Niju. I also tend to suspect Rey is bad every time he doesn’t show up. That’s an old school bias that I haven’t been able to shake, but I also would hate to lynch someone who is a no show. He’s not exactly doing any harm so I’m not sure whether he’s worth thinking about.

Can you explain the old school bias? Why does rey have to be bad over leetic for example?

He doesn’t. They could both/neither be bad. The os bias is that anyone who is a no show, or early disappearance, and doesn’t get replaced, is probably bad. This is how it would go: I would say “ I think the missing X should be lynched today since we aren’t sure about anyone else. Everyone says “no that’s awful. We can’t do that” finally X gets replaced. Two days later, everyone lynches him. Most times he was bad, but not always.

That, plus I recall Rey saying he hated being mafia. That has probably changed too.

Juliet’s might remember a game at RevMaf, where a guy named spaghetti (I think), never showed up after the first day or two. At end game, he effin won as a mafia.

I will shake this bias eventually.

Ebwop- I mention Juliet’s because we had bts that game and I fussed about the missing guy the whole time.

Thanks Juliet’s. That clears that up. The reason I’d like to see a tie is because it will possibly clear up another suspect for me. Seeing how things go throughout the day. But, if I had to vote right now, it would be for Niju.

So this sounds very hypocritical, even though I’m in favor of playing around with the voting to help me out with my suspect list, I’m very opposed to the restricted poll. I’m having a difficult time believing there is anything town about that ability.

Thanks. Unlike most everyone else, I still see the whole day and a half of back and forth with Space as a possible mafia song and dance. The early part where Jack made an error is the only part that casts doubt on my suspicion.

Dunya, this may sound silly, but it’s like you’ve been accepted town from the start. But you’re still here. You’re good, and I would have thought someone might have tried to take you out early, and who knows? Maybe they have and it got blocked or whatever. That’s the only doubt where you are concerned, and it’s not a big thing.

Linki- I wanted to see who might change votes if it looked like a tie might occur.

fair points on everyone. i think based on my understanding of daisy's personality, i can gleam how far she would go into inserting anger into a mafia game. what i saw was genuine anger and displeasure that i feel would be near impossible to replicate if she was just messing about with a teammate. i also can't see her bussing mac. his role was a powerful one. she's the one that set mac ahead of nutella; something she didn't have to do to stay consistent in her game play. the bussing, if it occurred, would have happened after mac was in the lead imo.

this is just my take on things. it's called tinfoil because it can be disputed, but i felt like expanding on why daisy is town in my eyes.

I made a post, I think, about DDL, or I may have canceled it. Sometimes, if two or three people just posted about something, all in agreement, and I’m working on a post saying the same thing, I’ll cancel my post. But I’ll look back. Wait, yes, I did. I was commenting on not liking the lynch being directed, but at the same time, I wanted to see a tie. I thought it was funny that I was wishing for a directed lynch (tie), but not liking DDLs directed lynch. I thought it might be another attempt at stalling a lynch to save the remaining mafia. I’ll still look to see if I made any other posts about DDL before adding him to my POE.

I still think Daisy is town, I was just trying to be realistic about her abilities as a wolf. The last time we were mafia together, Death Note, I think, she amazed me. I give her credit for being able to pull off anything.

you're mistaken. i don't do role claims unless it's deterrent to the game if i don't role claim. i'm kinda anti doing that. and i'm pretty sure now nova protected me on night 3.

Sorry, I must have inferred the wrong type role for you. It wasn’t a role claim. Just some things you said earlier, like come at me mafia, I dare you kind of thing. Then you posted a few times after that about wanting to get killed. I assumed you were safe at night, so my bad.

Also need to check Dunya mafia game and reread her here. She knew why there was no kill on night 2, and now knows that Nova protected her on night 3. Something about that is raising my hackles.

On day 4, Dunya asked you if you thought nova was mafia (pocketing), and earlier, she said that she knew what happened in night 2, but not on night 3 (with the no-kills). But right after Nova was killed, her first post was thanking him for protecting her on night 3.

Minor groan: the emojis were shite and offer less tangible communication than the other methods he's used. So those sucked. He hasn't wholly relied upon them though so whatever.

Ok. Five quote posts that might be much ado about nothing. I don’t understand the first three posts all together like that, that sounded like Dunya had no clue what happened the night before.
Then she knows what happened on night 2, but not night 3.
She makes a comment or two, to Jay and to DDL, sounding like she wants to hint that Nova is not super trustworthy, but drops it. Although it’s noted that DDL didn’t answer her.

Then she seems to know that Nova protected her on night 3, the night she said she didn’t know about.
I can’t follow any of the conflicting comments that Dunya has made, and make sense of them.

Ebwop to my last post- these posts by Dunya shading Nova happened on day 4. She did a bit of shading on night 3 and tried to draw several players into shady discussion about Nova. No one really bought into her remarks though. Her quick thank you to Nova after he flipped just really bugged me, in light of her trying to make him look bad.

I think that out of the inactive, Leetic would be a safe bet for a vote. But I think I’m more worried about the actives right now. I feel like Nova would have been killed by someone who figured out his role. He was suspicious of Leetic, Luna, Elohcin, possibly Dunya. Lots to think about and I’m getting tired now so it will have to wait until tomorrow.
