Because I'm having fun. And he has a great ass.

And I've changed my mind. I dislike you pushing a scum-read quota on me. Explain your thought process.
Because you have almost 50 posts and I only remember the one of you trying to get a glimpse of Jay's ass. There's something wrong in that scenario.
Why should my post count have any influence on how many scum reads I have?
I didn't ask for scum reads, I asked for anything memorable. I don't remember anything apart from you chipping in with game-connections, which is about your greatest contribution to this thread. Do you disagree? Why am I wrong? Link me to three independent thoughts you've developed in this game, beyond townreading DDL and Dr. White in that post. 3 out of ~50 is not asking for a lot. Prove me wrong, and I'll eat my words. :nicenod:
Wrong. This entire conversation is happening because you were unhappy with my lack of "people I dislike". Asking me for content "with the exception of your content" sucks too. Boo you, dunya. Boo you.

It was very sus that you would so strongly town read someone THAT EARLY in D1, simply because he gave his own reads that weren't apart of the major town babble. You keep conflating this as if bob had 100 post in Day 1, and 36 hours had passed or something. It was extremely early and on questionable grounds that you gave him such a strong read.

This however does not force the conclusion that both or either of you are scum, which you keep trying to use as a means to sus me for not directly stating such. I am simply making my take on an interaction known. Yes you could be scum buddies, or you could be using him for town cred. I don't know yet, it is something to build upon in later interactions between you two and others in the thread. To quote your system "you lost a point there". Now what you're doing is like someone saying "what do you mean by that JJJ? Why don't you just come out and say I'm scum!".

The fact that you've latched on to me so strongly from this, keep questioning my blatant as hell meaning with the quote, and now are trying to push this narrative that I'm ducking you, is very, very suspect, and I honestly don't believe you are this daft.
What is this and why should I give a shit?

No it fucking isn't.

Horseshit. colonialbob made posts and I made a read. You know what you did in response? Made a read. You made a read that you are presently calling "very sus". That's strong language. How can you have such a strong read so early?

I "keep trying to use it as a means" so hard that I said it one time. Fake.

We could be scumbuddies. I could be buddying a civilian for credit. I can't be town myself. Garbage.

There is nothing blatant about the meaning of "interesting" in a "read" being made in a Mafia game.

You're freaking the fuck out and spewing trash. Die.
This gave me flashbacks to when 3J and I went head to head in Red vs Blue...both times. This ass is town.

Quinfoil is also a suitable alternative.

I meant he participated; he told him that his picks would have been totally random (as several other players said). And Colin's argument wasn't about what scum Epi was trying to do in the exercise, it was about how Epi drew so much attention to himself as someone who was plotting scum's downfall so openly in the thread on Day 1 with an exercise he initiated.
Okay, he participated. He still refused to participate because he suspected Epi. I'd like that cleared up. I don't agree with the latter. See:

This post is so scummy you've gotta be town.
what do you mean by this? it was obviously an answer to epignosis’ question.

speaking of epignosis, he’s the most suspicious person imo. i don’t know if this ”who would your mafia mates be” survey is a common thing on this site but i don’t remember people doing it in rym games. it doesn’t give any useful information, cos the answer is so easy to fake it might actually help scum mislead people i dunno

i think he’s just tryna make a false impression he’s contributing sth valuable to the game
I agree, leaning towards a vote here unless there’s a good defense or argument against someone else (still wary of that Mac situation)

Suspicious of Nutella for reasons stated earlier, super wary of Epignosis for reasons noted earlier. That one post Kenway made a billion pages ago that other people pointed out as spine tingling also made my spine tingle. Can I go home yet?

A scum Epignosis might want people to believe that there is something to be gleaned from the exercise when there isn't. Or try to mislead somehow from that information. But I'm not really sure if Epignosis is scum. As for the second part, I have answered this, I said I would pick people at random because I don't know anybody here.

Dr. White wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2018 8:44 pm I too do not like how Mac tried to make a quicklist of reads based on pretty much intuition alone. Even if on vacation, why posit that as contribution? Seems like he was trying to feign activity. The split between him and colonial is very interesting.

I however found JJJ "strong town reading" Colonial interesting, since it was solely on the grounds of him listing his own reads. Mafia can easily do that as well as to not appear like they are parroting . That is a very interesting link given the colonial-Mac dynamic.

The first post is the "interesting" sandwich. Don't concern yourself with the specific word. Just read the content and then proceed to the highlighted material below.

1. Dr. White's meaning was obvious.

2. I should have known Dr. White's meaning.

No that can't be it, because you didn't "peg" me as anything. You called my behavior "interesting". Is that a read? What does that mean?
Interesting, meaning worthy of note. Adding that to the context of you strongly town reading someone off of one action this early in the game and I believe you got your answer J dog.
I still don't have an answer. I have vague implications. Is it suspicious to strongly town read someone of one action this early in the game? Talk straight, Doc.
Looking here, I'd say this is his answer. When I say things like "Here's an observation -" It's the same thing. I'm not trying to make a read of it, but it's something that can go in the back pocket to be evaluated later, or something I'm inviting others to read into.

The problem is that calling something "interesting" is too ambiguous.

Let's get it rolling in literally any other direction.
Which way?
Why not you? I'm curious why you've been absent from this thread despite posts in other games.
What are u talk in about? I wasnt even online the time being, I just got here a few hours ago & saw the thread locked. I had no WiFi at my new apartment as I moved in recently.. I'm catching up
 So you weren't posting in other games?
...yes today... when this thread was locked.. I went over to check sidemission. ..??? Meaning I couldn't post till jack unlocked.

lapluie, you got right into the thick of it despite your lack of familiarity in MK. In this game, I'm reading posts like this:

yes I apologize that is on me, I am lacking interaction in these bigger games due to the complexity of it, larger games are frustrating & i still have a mountain of pages to read throughly here & another active one. it's holding me back a bit on being communicative, will try my best to catch up.

Nope, I made the tactical decision to wait, I don't feel like we have enough information yet as a group to warrant me making a kill based on what the majority wants in thread, I myself am not confident enough in any mafia reads to let out a kill, and the last group of people I'd commonly vig would be inactive, however with a few replacements lined up I'd rather not waste potential civs.

Rabbit was inacitve meta of TS vets is to target inactive players as mafia. There's a likely chance whomever killed Rabbit was a TS vet.

@Dunya
@JaggedJimmyJay

Commonly would you say RYM players have a habit of targeting inactive players? (I encourage all RYMers to answer this one)

linki: I haven't been around?
Assuming RYM meta differs from us then I'd say that you've got a point. But as I said, if the goal was to remove the triangle attack from the equation rabbit was the natural target for that.

I don't care if the arguments disgust you. I do care how you read the players making the argument.

I wouldn't say you've only posted empty content, but you've posted more of it than would be ideal given your post count.
I posted a lot of fluff during the draft phase. I love the theme. It's natural. But when Day 1 started I dropped it. You yourself said that the draft phase encourages more fluff. I don't think you're taking that into account as you read me here.

As for people making the case, nutellas sticks out like a sore thumb. She says even my current content is empty. That's bull. She's also jumped on dunya's idea that I'm bad for not meeting a quota of scum reads (such a terrible argument, truly)

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 2]

JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2018 9:04 pm Quin has taken a lot of flak in this game for being fluffy. I have given Quin flak for being fluffy. I grant though that at least in my case, this has been a perception derived from my own progression through the thread without a thorough dig. So now I dig.

As of right now, Quin has 96 posts.

He made 33 posts during the drafting period. Remove them from consideration (I will at least, you may not be so inclined dear readers). 63 remain.

I would call the following posts fluffy in that they do not progress a hunt in a readily discernible way:

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 09#p406909
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 75#p407375
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 01#p407401
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 95#p407595
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 30#p407630
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 42#p407642
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 11#p408511
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 20#p408520
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 09#p409509
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 46#p410046

10 posts.

These posts are self-defense, primarily against accusations of fluff, without an obvious reads-oriented development therein:

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 00#p406900
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 18#p409618
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 31#p410031
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 42#p410042
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 60#p410060
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 73#p410473
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 92#p410492

7 posts.

63 - 10 - 7 = 46

This leaves 46 hunting-relevant posts, or just under half of his present post count and 73% of his non-draft day post count. This is a greater percentage than I anticipated. It isn't lovely and there is still fluff, but it isn't some glaring, terrible thing either. Those who have accused Quin of doing nothing should review this assessment and his posts as well and then report their own conclusions. I would say that it as at least no longer tenable to discard Quin as having done nothing of note. That is inaccurate.

A separate accusation which would be fairer given the data available is that Quin has not engaged anyone substantively. There have been pokes, prods, and jabs -- but no continued investigation of any single thing (that I can readily observe).
This was more open minded than I expected. Thanks.
